| "We enjoyed our three weeks vacation at this place very much. The house and pool were in very good condition. The location of the property above Souda Bay with stunning views on the bay and Akrotiri was amazing to us. Especially we liked to sit at the pool terrace and seethe sunset."

"My overall view of the villa was trat it was very nice. Outstanding views and peace and tranquility. The only points I felt let it down (as a family that constantly choose villa properties) was I felt the kitchen items were very basic for a family that would use the kitcen daily. Also all of us felt the matresses were very hard. Sorry if I seem a bit harsh but overall your villa is beautiful and the views stunning. i wish I could bring those home with me.

Many thanks for your feedback regarding the kitchen. The kitchen is currently equipped with oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, blender, toaster, baking trays, saucepans, frying pans, mixing bowls, chopping boards, bread boards as well as whisk, spatula, tin opener, bottle opener, wooden spoons, potato masher, sharp knives. It also includes dinner plates, bowls, side plates, glasses, cups, mugs and cutlery for at least 8 people. There are also plastic bowls, plates etc.. for picnics. We welcome any further suggestions for improvement.
Everyone has a different preference of mattress type and we have never had any complaints about how comfortable our beds are in the past. Sorry you did not find them comfy.

| "We all had a great time especially our two year old grandson.He loved the play area and the pool (the latter under supervision at all times).
We loved the views and quietness. Almyrida is a great beach for youngsters and all the tavernas had highchairs and were very welcoming to children as well as having good food.Our daughter is pregnant so was really glad of the air conditionig as we had very hot weather. We look forward to going again."

| "We were very lucky and had exceptionally wonderful weather. Too cold to swim yet but it was great to sunbathe by the pool, the house provided nice shelter while still being fully in the sun. Lots of shady areas available but this wasnt necessary for us at this time of year.
The villa is very private and has nice views especially from the second floor balcony. We were able to watch the sunset from poolside which was great. The views are exquisite, mountains and the bay of souda.
The villa is very comfortable for 4.

| "This is a lovely villa in a very quiet part Kokkino Chorio. The setting is beautiful and made for a very peaceful getaway, which is exactly what we wanted. Its a shame I didnt get longer time around the pool, but we went out most days. Close to excellent amenities in both Almyrida and Kalyves, but word of warning about the lovely little local taverna in Kokkino Chorio - very expensive for a local! Probably because its the only one! Recommend definitely for both families and couples just wanting to get away from it all. My husband was like a little boy after visiting the caves that are just up the road!"

| "Villa Challis is a superb villa, and is an ideal base for exploring this area of Crete. Tastefully furnished, it catered for all our needs, with many areas of the villa available for relaxing. Three very comfortable bedrooms, a huge lounge with seating, TV, Radio, Playstation etc, two large bath/shower rooms, and a well fitted kitchen with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining areas. Two large balconies coming off the upstairs lounge afford magnificent views both night and day over the bay and nearby mountains. The swimming pool is perfect for adults and children as it is a reasonable and safe depth throughout.
A hire car is definately required, for the villa is situated in a quiet and peaceful rural type location, but the lanes surrounding it are not busy, and easy to find your way around once you have ventured out a few times. Should you wish to dine out, restaurants and bars are only a few kilometres away in the nearby villages. To summarise, Villa Challis is perfect for families or even a group of friends, and if you get hot sunny weather like we had during our stay here.......its as close as you can get to paradise."

| "A beautiful villa, nice and secluded but not to remote, I cant praise this villa enough really. Summer holidays dont come cheap any more, so the quality of villa challis was a real bonus. Good sized pool, cool bedrooms with the air con. Basically if you want a top quality villa, nice and quiet at a good price you cant go wrong! We hope to be back very soon. "The villa was of a high standard. It was clean and fitted with good quality equipment. The views were stunning & location tranquil.
The only downside was the journey down the hills, around numerous hairpin bends whenever you wanted to go anywhere!"

The journey down to the main resort at Almyrida is 10 minutes and to Plaka is 5 minutes. There are few bends in the road but the roads are safe

| "the owners had thought of everything. the house is modern and comfortable with ample space and storage. very clean and everything of good quality. the setting was idyllic. the pool clean and a good size. very quiet location. the whole was as described on the website. owners and caretakers very helpful and good communication. a very enjoyable 10 nights stay - in the hills - but a comfortable - not scary ride - to the resorts/main road. thank you"
