| "The Stonehouse is beautifully situated, well equipped and ideal for anyone wanting some real peace and quiet. As other reviewers have mentioned, the pictures dont really do it justice. The view down the valley to the sea from the living room and terrace is exceptional.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk down to the tarmac road and along the coast to the tavernas in the centre of Kastri.
One comment though: rent a Jeep or similar 4 wheel drive, or at least ask for a hire car with good ground clearance like a Hyundai Getz. We arrived in a Fiat Punto, and barely made it up the track, which is VERY steep and rocky in places. (They had very heavy rain the week before we arrived, and this had washed away the surface leaving it very rutted).

| "We stayed at the villa with family (myself, wife, 13 years old child and 7 month old infant).
Unfortunately we only could stay there for a week due to visa issues. Otherwise we would definitely extend our stay and enjoyed beautiful views and quietness of the place.
Villa is very well arranged and we had all we needed for the restful vacation.
Only the access road to the villa itself needs a bit of finishing as well as bits and pieces at the back of the villa around pool area.
Otherwise all these details are well compensated by the overall excellent impression from the holidays.
By the way food in local taverns is delicious.
We are looking forward to come back to this attractive place and stay longer if possible.

| "We have just returned from a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at the Stonehouse. The propery itself exceeded expectations - the photos on the website really do not it justice. The interior is spacious and well equiped. The exterior is ghe real bonus. the patio at the front of the property has spectacular views to the sea and surrounding hillside. A perfect spot for meals and evening relaxing. The pool at the rear of the property is a real sun spot and completely private.
The location is perfect if you are looking for total peace and relaxation. The local village has a good selec tion of tavernas and we found the locals very friendly and welcoming. The beaches are stunning, ranging from long shingle beaches to deserted coves - all within a few minutes drive.
The villa owners were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we had everything we required. Our only regret is that we didnt rent the owners other villa too and take the rest of the family. We will certainly do this when we return."

| "The villa was out of this world, the views of the sea was just what we wanted. The road up to the villa was rough,a 4x4 would be the best car to hire but we found it no problem. The villa was private and good for couples,we would go back some time.."

| "as it said on the packet, very good, off the beaten track, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday this is for you, car hire a must, it is a long walk to the local (and i mean local) village. not good for those with walking difficultys. the locals are very friendly and welcoming, the home owner is very good and bent over backwards to help us out, including car hire, would go back again, it is traditional and a little knowledge of greek goes a long way."

| "The villa is full of character with its exposed stonework and huge semi-circle window from sitting room to sea view. It’s very well furnished and equipped and the location is very quiet. The smallest hire car is fine for the track up to the villa as long as you drive slowly. The swimming pool is not huge but the sea and beach which are 5mins down the hill by car are much better than any pool could offer. However anyone visiting who thinks that the pool is important might want to check the status of the hard landscaping around the pool with the owner. It was shingle around the pool edge when we were there but this might have been changed by now. Overall, very nice villa in an area that, if you like swimming and relaxing, is worth visiting for as many weeks as you can – at least 3 ideally"

| "The property itself was well maintained, in a peaceful location with a good view. The villa has all the amenities you would need and the pool is lovely. The local area has several nice beaches, plenty of tavernas and a few small shops. The unpaved road to the villa was okay but our small car did find it a bit challenging. We saw some interesting wildlife in the area, watch out for the kingfishers by the local seashore."

| "Villa and new pool are lovely. The nearest beach is a 25 minute walk which is perfect for an early morning swim. There are many other wonderful beaches nearby that can be reached by car in under 15 minutes. All the local tavernas are excellent and cheap.
The drive up to the villa is quite steep and most of the locals have a 4WD, although you do get used to it even in a standard hire car. Some may find the location a bit remote if there intend to do a lot of exploring. Work on the villa next door is continuing but is very quiet and not intrusive. We had a great 2 week family holiday."

| "Lovely villa in secluded spot but close to coast and several good tavernas. Pool is lovely. A real selling point for the villa. When the other villa is finished it will be the perfect destination for 2 families. The approach road to the villa is quite scary on arrival but we got used to it very quickly. We hired a Hyundai Getz and it coped admirably with all the Greek roads we threw at it!! Massive thanks to Keith who is the contact on the ground. He was very helpful."

| "The villa was lovely and the sea view stunning. We were extremely disappointed about the pool not being finished and building work going on behind us was annoying even though we were promised that nobody would be working during our stay. I thought the satelite TV was deceiving as it was all foreign with the exception of one or two channels. To compensate for this a good dvd library would have been useful. Plenty of places to eat and all very reasonable. A 4x4 would have been a better car to hire."
