| "Just returned from a week stay at Casa Katrina, would have liked it to have been longer.
Tony met us at the Villa with a few esential items, which i thought was a nice touch. He could not have been more helpfull.
The Villa is credit to the owner Dave, There was not anything that we needed everything was there,(could not find the high chair though) very well apointed.

| "Excellent help and information from Dave the owner prior to our visit.
The transfers and a welcome pack was organised for us so we had no need to worry about having to go shopping on arrival.
The Villa was just what we needed for rest and relaxation, very clean, lovely pool, plenty of room with everthing you need, no need to pack anything but a few clothes. The Villa was in a peaceful and quiet residential area with shops and restaurants only a few minutes walk away. The Marina a bit further but a nice 20 mins stroll or 5 minute on the bus or taxi.
Local people were very friendly and helpful.
This was our first visit to the Algarve and I am sure we will visit again."

| "FANTASTIC,BRILLIANT AND GREAT the best holiday we have all had in a villa ever.
The villa was really lovely,clean tidy and spacious.Great location close enough 2 lively nite life in the marina,with was less than 6euros in the local taxi(they all speak perfect english when you phone and book) but nice and quite during the day by the pool.There is loads of outside space around the pool with a lovely shaded eating area with a BBQ.Two bedrooms upstair(1xdoudle 1xtwin both ensuite) they share a balconcy which is a nice area overlooking pool. Doudle room downstairs with opens out onto pool area.
Nice local supermarket,resturant and bars all in walking distance of the villa.The cactus bar near the supermaket do a pint of local larger for 1 euro,and kareoke on a sunday(nelson the owner is very friendly and welcoming).
We visited the casino in valimora 1 evening for a meal which was ok but the show really done it 4 the men which was very entertaining with topless ladys, and after the show the casino is very busy.
Golf in the area is spectcular and to get the best offers you have to tee off in the middle of the day,which is fine if you can hack the heat.The boys paid 55 euros with included 18 holes,buggy and golf club hire.Well worth a round.
So all in all a great holiday and we would all love to go back.

| "Beautiful villa in a quiet cul de sac.It was ideal for our party of 5 and would easily accommodate 6.It was very well setup with a nice kitchen and plenty of cutlery etc.which you do not always get in villas or apartments.THe Manager was very helpful and the welcome pack was well welcome!
We would love to return and would have no problem in recommendig the villa to our friends.
A lovely holiday even the wearher was good."

| "We stayed at Casa Katrina for two weeks in mid May with two very young chldren, ouselves , and our parents. I have to say that everything about the villa was fantastic and everybody was well catered for. The villas location is superb if you are looking for a relaxing break, it is in a very private and quiet residential area, local amenities such as shops and snack bars are very close, however the main resort and beach is about a twenty minute walk away which suited us fine. The villa itself is stunning and very well equiped and furnished, I cant put my finger on it but you feel right at home as soon as you arrive there. We found Dave, the owner an absolute pleasure to deal with and he was very helpful in accomadating us. I could not recommend this villa enough and I am sure I will be back some time soon !"

| "A wonderful traditional villa which was comfortable with an excellent size pool. The owner, Dave, was really helpful during/after booking and replied promptly to my emails. We arrived six hours before we should have had access to the villa and they were so accommodating it was almost ready even though we were very early. The managers Jackie and Tony did a great job, arranging transfers and car hire which was completely hassle free, a far cry from our experience with big tour operators. Nothing was too much trouble.
We had never been to Portugal before and would definitely go again, although Vilamoura is very busy during August, particularly the marina later on in the evening. We went to the taxi rank about 11 pm and had to wait over an hour for a taxi the first night so I would advise pre-booking or car hire. We found it better to be down in the restaurants by 7.30 in the marina before they filled up. We tried the Michelin starred Willeys not far from the Hilton - not impressed - found it pretentious and very expensive, even by Vilamoura standards! Chez Carlos was a really nice restaurant which was within walking distance. The spa at the Hilton was lovely, again expensive but thats Vilamoura - great as holiday pampering. All in all a great holiday. Thank you."

| "We had a lovely holiday and were very pleased when we arrived at the villa. The villa is in an idea location, offering a peaceful, relaxing holiday but only a short distance from Villamoura. It is also very close to the Hilton Hotel which is great for golf fanatics and ladies that like to lunch or enjoy spa treatments. The spa is excellent!
All the arrangements made for us worked like clockwork. The taxi service to and from the airport was impeccable as was the service at the villa where we were met on arrival by the very pleasant Tony.
The villa comes highly recommended."

| "Just returned from a wonderfull break at Casa Katrina and would like to say how much we all enjoyed the stay. The villa is exactly as described and in a superb position. All the rooms, ameneties and pool where better than expected and made our holiday extra special. Prior to going on holiday, the information that I recieved from Dave the owner was outstanding and on arrival Tony the manager was friendly and informative. As with the previous review, the ladies in our party did complain about the mirrors but not really an issue. Couple of points for other guests, We found it easier to get taxis from the Hilton Hotel than from the villa, which is less than 5 mins away. Also if getting taxis back from the marina is a problem there is a small road train that returns at 11.00pm from the marina area to the Hilton which is handy.
Thanks again for a great holiday, looking foreward to returning soon.

| "Casa Katrina was nothing short of stunning! It was in a lovely quiet residential area about 25 minutes walk from the Marina and all the shops, restaurants, and activities. The villa is spacious and ensures enough privacy as each bedroom has an ensuite. We were met by the villa manager who had bought in some essentials such as bread, tea, coffee, sugar and even a bottle of wine. He also gave us his telephone number should we have needed to contact him. The pool was the largest we saw in the area. It was cleaned for us mid week (not that it needed it) with no disruption to us at all. The villa is extremely well equipped and by way of constructive criticism, the only thing I would have liked (and this is purely a woman thing) was a mirror near a plug point to style my hair. Other than that, it was PERFECT. It was the best holiday we have ever had and we are a well travelled family having spent ten years in Asia. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Casa Katrina to my friends. We will certainly be returning. The owner, Dave Beevor couldnt have been more helpful throughout the booking process and ensured every detail was covered. I would like to thank you Dave for sharing your villa with us. We hoped my husbands 50th birthday celebration would be special, but you made it EXTRA SPECIAL! Thank you! Helen"

| "The villa is beautiful and provided everything we needed for our stay. Prior to our trip we were given plenty of information, maps and general help by Dave (the owner). We were welcomed by Tony, the manager, who could not have been more helpful. The information provided in the villa's guide book was excellent and accurate. We spent much of our daytime around the pool which is a fabulous size and our evenings at some of the local places mentioned in the guide book which were friendly and welcoming, especially when we mentioned we were staying at Dave and Sues place! The owners have done much to make you feel at home and we would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Vilamoura. Thanks again to Tony, Dave and Sue, we will be back again :)"

| "Peaceful location, quite a walk to the Marina, but works up an appetite for Dinner! The Property is lovely and set out very well. The Pool is large & the Terrace is excellent sitting just in front of the Pool. The Bedrooms are spacious and have plenty of wardrobe space. The Villa is very Comfortable for 6 Adults, however I do not feel that there was adequate provisions to accommodate 6 Adults, i.e. table on Terrace seats 4, towels, sun beds, Umbrellas & glasses not enough for 6. I would go again and the Owner is very helpful !"

| "Had a great holiday overall - the villa is a good size, was well-equipped (the kitchen and some of the furnishings could do with a facelift though!) and has a decent sized pool. Location was very peaceful, in a quiet cul-de-sac. Only downside was trying to get taxis from the villa - many of them did not know where to come to, and those that did just didn't turn up! Its a good 30-minute walk to the marina and some of the roads/pavements are not the easiest to walk on. August is the busiest month in the Algarve - so perhaps this wouldn't be such a problem at other times. The Faro buses go via the Marina, and there is a bus stop about 5-10 mins from villa - this helped once we found out about it! Plan your transport back from the marina too - we often waited at the taxi rank for nearly an hour to get home!
Dave, the owner, was very helpful leading up to our departure - and the management team, cleaner and pool guys were all great.
Would go back - but maybe not in August!"

| "We stayed in this Villa in July 2007 for a week and it was fantastic. Felt at home as soon as we arrived. There were 3 couples and a baby and we had plenty of space for us all. The pool area was great and provided us with plenty of sun and shade areas. We also enjoyed the bbq facilities on a number of evenings
Would recommend staying here and just wished we could have stayed longer!

| "We visited this beautiful villa at the beginning of June and were pleased it was located in a reasonably quiet area. surrounded by other villas. It is very spacious with a lovely garden and plenty of room to enjoy the barbeque, pool and patio area. My teenagers loved the pool as it is a really good size and we made use of the sun loungers and umbrellas. The lounge facilities were very good and lots of space in the bedrooms made it very comfortable. It really was pretty and we felt very relaxed here. The owner was particularly helpful before our visit, sending extras photos and information and it was very reassuring to have a welcome from Tony and him being near to the site. Very pleased with our choice. Willies the nearest restaurant was first class"

| "The villa was beautiful and had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. The pool was large and the children really enjoyed it. There was everything needed for our holiday in the villa and the box of groceries left tidied us over until we got to the supermarket. We were met by Jackie and Tony who were very helpful. Please advise other occupants to have a dry run with the safe first as we did not and locked everything away and could not get it out! Jackie came and sorted us out though!
We would return to the Casa Katrina and will definitely visit Portugal again."

We had an excellent holiday in the villa which was spacious airy and well maintained. From booking until departure we were looked after, firstly by the owner with the booking and by the friendly management team on arrival and departure.
All furnishings in the villa were good, the pool was large clean and well looked after and was situated next to a beautiful terrace with plenty of shade under a fine palm tree.
It would have been very easy not to venture out! When we did there were super beaches, marinas, shops and restaurants only a few minutes drive away.
All in all we would recommend the villa Casa Katrina and the resort for its peace and tranquillity together with its proximity to many things to see and do.

| "A very comfortable, airy, clean and tidy Villa. Excellent pool and great south-facing aspect. Very well looked after during our stay by Tony, the lady who changed towels/sheets and Les & Sally looking after the Pool/Garden.
Downsides only include no air-conditioning in 2nd bedroom upstairs and it is pricey, even for Vilamoura in August!

"lovely villa in excellent condition and the gardens and pool where very well maintained. Comunication with the owner was excellent and he was extremely helpful. We had plenty of towels and linen etc and everything that we needed. The pool was also warmer than we expected so that was a bonus. Agents were also very helpful. what would be helpful is if there was a short description on a) how to get to the closest supermarket, (we were advised to go to one in a nearby town which I am sure was excellent howerver it was closed when we got there and then found out that there was one within walking distance so wished had gone there instead. b) also how easy it is to get to the marina and beach. I know that maps are left but they weren't the easiest to decipher. lastly i wished that we had been warned more about theives as we had money taken from us. We locked up every night and were unlucky once which made me feel that maybe we had been watched and the doors had been tried every night which is quite creepy. We also found out from the neighbours that this has been happening frequently so please highlight future guests that they really must be vigilent So, no fault of the villa which was lovely but this put me off travel to the Algarve again."

We provide a folder in the villa, which is always pointed out to guests by the manager on arrival, which has information and very clear maps showing local supermarket, bank, phamacy etc.
Unfortunately petty theft is not unique to the Algarve. Again there are clear instructions in the villa on locking doors and windows and suggestions that a light and radio be left on whilst out to deter possible intruders. I am really sorry that the guests holiday was marred by this event, however I would suggest the Algarve is one of the safest places in the world to have a vacation.

"Pool was amazing, great size and south facing so plenty of sun. Bit of a problem if you are fair as no parasols to shade under whilst lying by the pool. Bedrooms were very comfortable each with en-suite bathroom and everybody could shower in hot water at the same time which was fantastic!
Greeted by owner on arrival which was great.
Could have done with an extra set of bath towels.
If you intend to cook - no dishwasher.
Would definitely go back very relaxing holiday had by all!"
