| "The Carmichael property commands spectacular views across the village of Bellapais and down to the sea. The three separate "cottages" have been well renovated and have all necessary conveniences to make a stay relaxed and comfortable for groups both large and small. Property ideal for those who like to be in the midst of a traditional Cypriot village while enjoying the opportunity to walk in the hills above the cottage, relax in the many good bars and restaurants in Bellapais, or hit the tourist trail and explore the world of Lawrence Durrell or the more normal attractions such as Bellapais Abbey, Kyrenia Castle (and town), St Hilarion Castle and Lara beach. A fantastic location, a fantastic holiday!"

"The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bellapais and we would thoroughly recommend it to anyone"

Another perfect fit for our Bellapais villas. A multi-generational family group of ten having a great time in high summer with virtually every meal outside and a cool pool to relax in and enough shadey corners , sunny terraces and hideway places for everyone to have their own space and yet big enough family dining and board game playing places for everyone to get together round one table when desired.

"A charming and comfortable property, well appointed and sufficiently large for our near-capacity party not to feel crowded. The villas' location affords easy access to both coastal and mountain attractions, and is only a very short walk from the Abbey and numerous restaurants. We found the villagers very friendly. In summary, a superb base for a most enjoyable holiday."

Our Bellapais property is increasingly a unique undisturbed corner of Cyprus with the rarities of a fantastic 360 degree view and an ancient village with very real 12th century abbey and proud and welcoming villagers both Cypriot and other nationalities. The property works best for a multi generational family group like Richard from Devizes' family but would also be great for couples and individuals sharing the same interest- for example holidays such as geology, antiquities, painting, walking or springtime wildflowers. As much of the island appears under construction at times, it is lovely to return at the end of the day to the tranquility of upper Bellapais or even to stay in all day just relaxing. It is really appreciated by us who spent our 1960's childhood in the village to see new families having such a glorious time in our much loved family home.

"Jeni and Ges write from London on 19th May 2006
Dear Richard & Patricia
Well, sadly we are home once more having had one of the best holidays ever in your wonderful Bellapais villa - a little slice of paradise indeed.
Kirsty writes from Glasgow in summer 2005
I have visited before for the Sunday Herald magazine and loved the village and house so much that I want to return with my family this year."
