"Maleme is a lovely little town - simply idyllic. Perfect for kicking back and relaxing as it is peaceful and not crowded, even during the peak holiday season when we were there. The apartment is adequate and clean and would have been perfect, had everything worked. Our booking was confirmed in March 08 and we vacationed there in Aug 08, giving the owners ample time to prep it. However, on arrival, we discovered a broken kettle, cutlery falling to bits, ripped chairs on the balcony and the aircon in the main bedroom stopped working after 3 days - we were there for the remainder of our 2 weeks without aircon in that room during their hottest time of year. This was not what we paid upfront for, and no offer of a refund for the inconvenience we experienced was offered by the owners. Lastly, no watersports were available opposite the apartment, which were advertised. Very disppointing."

A kettle can break at any time with no warning,and the people who left before Mrs Rowlands did not mention a broken kettle so it was assumed that this was working. Mrs Rowlands offered to purchase a new kettle, the full cost of which was reimbursed to her.
New balcony chairs were ordered and delivered which was too late for Mrs Rowlands but you will appreciate that organising these things from far away is difficult, again, this was fine when they arrived.
Mrs Rowlands contacted me many times to report problems,no hot water, which was simply that they had used it all and not waited for the solar panels to heat it backup, they couldn`t use the immersion heater, this was because it was left on and the element burned out even though there are instructions on the switch box.
They told me the aircon was not working and when I arranged for an engineer to call, they told me the aircon was working, they hadn`t switched it on correctly.
As for the watersports, I don`t personally organise them and they have always been available on the beach opposite.Had they mentioned this to me in their many texts, I could have given them more foolproof directions.

| "Great location - you can sleep with the sound of gentle waves, if its not so hot that you need the air con on!
Spacious apartment in friendly block. Shared pool isnt that big but fine for a cool down and never crowded when we were there - some of us preferred the very short walk to the warm sea anyway!
Highly recommended.

| "This is fabulous apartment in an excellent location. It is comfortable and well equipped, located in a small, quiet complex. It has superb views of the sea and you are so close you can here the waves rolling in. Maleme is a lovely place with everything needed for an excellent holiday, so far it is not too built up. The best restaurant is right on your doorstep. This is fantastic value for money and I would recommend it to anyone - we all had a wonderful time and everyone was so friendly towards us and our three children."

| "The photographs for the property give a modest view of the interior, complex and its surroundings. we were amazed to find the apartment in such lovely condition and with facilities so close to hand. we had a brilliant time in maleme and the apartment was more than we could have hoped for; a steal fro the price! Excellent!"
