| "We enjoyed the location very much. It was close to everything and had a pretty view. When we required attention for a clogged drain, it was looked after the same day. We would definitely book it again and would recommend it to our friends.
The key pickup arrangements were excellent and information available in the apartment about the various appliances were a great help.
A little more detail about the operation of the microwave and computer connection would be beneficial.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

| "The location of the Hugo Park 102 is excellent. The property of the apartment is just great for 2 persons and we had a lovely holiday in Nice.
There were some problems with the pressure of the water in the the kitchen, but we could live with that."

| "We went to France specifically to look to buy a property for ourselves. This apartment ended up being our gold standard: close to everything spacious clean modernized beautiful lobby quiet neighborhood. It was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed being able to return and just relax in the evenings. The key transfer system at the airport and leaving keys in the apartment on leaving are so efficient. The things noted below did not deter us from enjoying the apartment and are only mentioned so that the apartment can become even more perfect.
We did notice a problem with an odoreither a mop in the supply closet or the dishwasher which is usually not used. Someone called one afternoon wanting entry to the apartment because other residents in the building had complained of an odor. We told the person to call the property manager, but we never noticed that anything became of it as the smell continued. The sticking door lock was exasperating and we wonder why it cant be replaced. My husband had to work with it strenuously every time we needed to get in. We expected a "dryer," which is what Americans call the machine that dries clothes, with the info that a "clothes drier" was available, only to find that that meant a drying rack. I chose the apartment for many reasons, but ultimately because I thought it had a washing machine and dryer. It would alleviate disappointment to change the wording to clothes drying rack.
We opted not to buy a property. Why would we if we can rent this for an extended period and be in the heart of Nice, close to the Promenade, the pedestrian area, and the Vieux Ville?"

"As we travelled with two children (5, 9 yrs old) we often have to rent 2 hotel rooms and find French rooms to be smaller to what we are used to in Canada/USA. This was our first time renting an apartment and we basically elected to do so to have a better value for our money. Given that we are currently living in Africa, the flexibility to pay by credit card via Internet was also a factor (most other rentals we had considered requested a bank transfer which was more complicated to do from here) The apartment also offered the flexibility to prepare meals, which we found to be a great advantage, given that Nice restaurants are somewhat pricey.
This apartment was well worth the money decently equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and convertible sofa, very well located, close enough to the attractions to walk, but far enough not to be disturbed by evening noises. Keys were conveniently available to be picked up at the Nice airport upon arrival. Appartment is truly within walking distance (even with kids) to shopping centers, cinemas, Promenade des Anglais, etc. and you can get your fresh croissants and fruits in the morning on a 5-minute walk, there and back.
We had a small problem getting the Internet to work but this was solved on a 3-minute phone call with the owners local agent. One piece of advice: do not rent a car unless you are prepared to pay for parking even in early March, parking was a nightmare (cant imagine the summer). We took a car rental for 3 days out of our 7-night stay and were glad we didnt rent for longer as even when you are prepared to pay to park in the streets, it may be time consuming to find a spot a guarded parking is available within 50 meters from the apartment, but at a prohibitive cost.
A few things we had not noticed on the ad:
1) We were a little surprised to discover a washroom with only a shower, no bathtub. Would have appreciated a warm bath after a coldish and rainy day outside, but this was only a minor deception.
2) The apartment has a washing machine, but no drying machine. A clothes rack is available and a (much appreciated) towel warmer was also put to use.
In the appartment, youll find many very complete sets of instructions to all appliances, as well as information prepared by the owner on what to see in and around Nice, plans of the area, etc. (all documentation in English only).
One last point we experienced a bizarre and unpleasant smell everytime we came back to the apartment. After 2-3 days of trying to identify the source, we realized the smell was peroxyde and it originated from the harstylist salon right under the apartment, through the ventilation system nothing the owner can really do about it and you dont notice it after 5 minutes in the apartment, but it had us worried for the first few days..
We appreciated the experience to rent an apartment as much as we appreciated the apartment in itself. This was a great rental and we would definately recommend Hugo Park 102 to friends and family.

If you do have a car there are 2 carparks within 100m, but they do charge. Parking on the street is metered based. If you rent from Hertz they have parking 300m from the apartment. Re the air con this was having its annual service and is fine

| "Very nice, in what must be the place you could hope for in Nice. Quiet yet right in the town, less than 5 minutes from beach.
I wouldnt call it a balcony that is with the property, more a full lenth window that opens.
But the property has everything that you need.
Will be going back."

"Lovely apartment, conveniently located for shops (including food), restaurants and beach.
Would benefit from better soundproofing whereupon ratings would have been higher."
