| "The specifications listed a washing machine, hifi system and a tv in the bedroom. We didnt get these.
Property well maintained though and clean. Very spacious.
Also asked to be close to friends and this was arranged, even though this meant giving us a slightly bigger property."

| "Accomodation was spacious and reasonably clean (living room rug fairly dirty).
Location was not walking distance to beach but did have some lovely views.
We went in June 08 and there was a lot of maintenance work going on which was fairly irritating (daily constant beeping of crane/truck painting facias). There were a few things missing from our house (iron, corkscrew) which we had to contact the owners about and the swimming pool was drained and the garden area padlocked! The childrens playground was excellent however as were the tennis courts.
On the last day the whole water system for the village broke down and everyone was left with no water for over 12 hours. The owners gave out bottled water and let us shower at Carleton Wharf but with 2 young children and 3 adults in the house, it was not what we needed after a day at the beach.
There appears to be people living on site (as opposed to holidaymakers) and some evenings were fairly noisy (maybe we were just unlucky though as Euro 2008 had just started!?)
Overall, the property lived up to expectations, but just a bit more attention to detail would have made this a more relaxing holiday.

| "Overall the property was clean and spacious. An excellent centre for exploring the East Cork region and Cork itself. There is a great view out over the sea. Youghal has several places to eat ranging from a top end gourmet restaurant specialising in seafood to a variety of smaller places suitable for energetic kids. The town has a cinema that shows the latest releases. The kids loved the tennis courts and it is good for younger kids expecially with its own play park. The pool is smaller than it seems on the web site but overall the site is great."
