| "Had a wonderful time, plenty of things to keep the kids entertained pool area fully supervised at all times which made it easy for us to relax knowing the children were safe.
The house was was lovely and clean, with spectacular views and the grounds were maintained very well. The town was only a 10 min. walk with some lovely restaurants all of which were child friendly
Over all we really enjoyed our break in Youghal thanks to our stay in the Carlton Village."

| "I would avoid booking with this organisation due to their sharp business practices regarding damage waivers. There was no one available to meet us or collect our keys and no one contacted us during our stay to see how we were.
The property itself was fine and to spec - our friends who had paid less than us were treated to a similar house, albeit with inferior television, etc., so while happy for them we were not sure what we were paying for.
Youghal itself is somewhat run down - the area is beautiful."

| "First impressions on arrival was not at all good, I feel the description of the property on the website was very over rated. I found the outside appearance of the property to be run down and dated. The inside was very basic but did have every thing we needed. the dvd players were a god send. I do feel also that the property could have been cleaner for our arrival, when we removed the top covers off the beds the dust would kill you. The property did have beautiful views over the sea but the fact that it was at the top of a very steep hill made it quite difficult to reach the local ammenities without a car. To be honest I was quite disappointed as i booked this property because it had a four star rating and after staying in four star properties for the past three years this was certainly not up to four star quality in my opinion."

| "Great villa - clean, well furnished and spacious. Sufficient towels and kitchen bits were supplied (plates, pans, etc) but it would be great if a few more essentials were supplied (salt and pepper, bread and milk etc.)
Carleton Village is a very nice and well maintained area. We were there just after the season ended so it was fairly quiet and the pool area was closed. It's not particularly easy/quick to walk down to town from the resort - you have the choice of walking down a long road to the edge of town and then walking back into the town centre or taking the "back route" which consists of some steep steps (some of which are broken and/or overgrown) which end up a bit closer to the town centre. It's more or less impossible with a pushchair/pram. However if you're happy to jump in the car for the short drive down into town, it's not a problem - and there's ample parking in town (or at least there was when I was there - it could be more difficult at the height of the season.)
When we arrived at the resort (just before 5pm), the reception was closed. However there was a map to our Villa which was open and the keys were inside. We never actually saw or spoke to the reception staff at all during our 9 days there but we did have an emergency contact number to get hold of someone if we needed to - we didn't, so it wasn't a problem. I presume that more staff would be around during the normal season.
All in all a great, clean, comfortable place to stay with fantastic views and loads of stuff within a short drive. The beach in Youghal (only 5 mins away) is fantastic, even in September."

| "I had a wonderful time in Ireland thanks in part to the outstanding, and rare week of no rain, and to the no hassle and comfortable home at Carleton Village. The home was clean and well cared for. The only complaint I have is the contact numbers listed on the website were inaccurate and we had a tough time calling to let anyone know we needed a late check in. It took a lot longer to drive from Dublin to Youghal than I thought. However, we were met at the property on a Sunday evening at 9:00 and given a key. Thanks so much!"

| "Property was of a high standard. The house had more than enough space for all of us and location had beautiful views. On site facilities not great - pool on the small side, no shop on site, only one very small play area for the younger children. However, overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it."

| "Beautiful location, fantastic views and very well appointed accommodation. Excellent kitchen - the ice machine was a real wow for young and old. Spacious rooms, lovely en suite facilities. Hard to leave it all behind. Only down-side was that we were early in the season (April) and not all site facilities were availablee.g. swimming pool."
