| "We found this a spacious clean and tidy property.
There were one or two things that could be improved.
We had an older relative with us and we had to purchase a chair for her to use outdoors, as with it being August we spent most of our time outside and there was only sun loungers or the stools around the outdoor table to sit on which arent comfortable for sitting for any length of time especially for someone elderly.
There were also no chairs to use on the upstairs balcony, which was a shame as we would have liked to have used it. (Last year in a smaller property on the same urbanisation there was a table and chairs which was used by us especially in the morning for tea)!
There was a safe in the property as advertised, but it was not fixed down so in the event of a burgulary this could be picked up and taken away so we didnt use it.
The air con in the childrens bedroom was out of action for the first four days and due to the heat the kids slept in the lounge for those nights, but friendly Fernando did come on the fourth day and repair it for which we were grateful.
Apart from these few things which would have improved things, we had an enjoyable holiday and the kids (and us) loved the pool, which Alan cleaned regularly!

"The property provided excellent facilities, although a couple more comfortable chairs outside to relax would have been appreciated . However the outside eating table was excellent. There was a leak in the top floor bathroom every time we used the shower which came through to the the downstairs toilet ceiling, which looked as though it had been there for some time from the marks on the ceiling. However we left a note to this effect so I hope this has now been attended to. Overall we had a great holiday and would return to this area again."

Thanks for the comments. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay at the villa. The showerroom is being attended to and hopefully we will have a couple more comfortable outside chairs in place for the next season.

"The house was beautifully furnished and spacious. The pool was fantastic and the best we've had in 10+ years of villa holidays.
There were only a couple of issues. The air conditioning didn't work very well in the master bedroom, although we had a fan which did the job well. However, the beds were a nightmare!
They were converted sofa beds. This meant they were quite narrow, and the wooden legs were in the middle, so if you sat on the edge the whole bed moved.
As a result they were extremely uncomfortable and my husband spent his holiday sleeping on a mattress on the floor. My sister and her husband (who are less rotund) found their bed equally uncomfortable and slept on the kids' bed instead.
Had the beds been OK I would've happily given an Excellent rating to this property as it is lovely, but they were too big a deal to ignore, I'm afraid."

"For what we paid (£650), this spacious villa represented very good value at peak season. The villa itself is situated on a fairly uninspiring and overdeveloped estate of similar properties but was very nice in itself with plenty of space inside and out and has a good layout. The view is marred slightly by the distant motorway but the nearby mirador offers spectacular views.
The villa is on the Gata De Gorgos to Pedreguer road. There are two Mas Y Mas supermarkets nearby in either direction although the opening hours were often unfathomable.
The villa provides easy access to Gata De Gorgos, Denia, Javea, Calpe and Moraira. Calpe has the best beach and facilities.
The villa itself was impressive in size over 3 levels and the pool was a very good size. Nice welcome pack too. The durability of some of the fittings left a little to be desired with a handle falling off, a window that didn't lock, a sticky front door and fittings that weren't entirely screwed on properly. It does have the luxury of air con in every room though - when the electric was working anyway - which was a boon in the hot weather. The only reservation I had about the pool was that the friction tiles round the pool ended for some reason and the smooth tiles into the house were very slippery when wet.
The only major annoyance for us was the alarm which had been disconnected from the silent exterior of the villa but provided plenty of volume inside. Every time it rained (twice), the electric clicked off and the alarm beeped incessantly, on one occasion nearly all night. Efforts to silence it set the main ear-piercing alarm off and no-one could tell us how to stop it although it reverted to the beeping. Eventually we had them disconnect it altogether but we lost a night's sleep and had a very annoying day without electric for 14 hours when the fridge freezer defrosted.
With the alarm disabled, we still lost the electric but that's the Spanish for you. The well outside the front door flooded when it rained too but it only rained twice. Putting that aside, as you now can, it's a good value villa for half what you'd pay nearer the beaches and apart from those minor annoyances, there was nothing to really complain about. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere but it's very quiet and is a great base for day trips to the beaches."

Unfortunatelly we can not control the weather or the electricity company Iberdrola.
The problem with the alarm, which occurred because of the electricity failure during bad weather, was dealt with as quickly as possible especially when this problem occurred at the weekend. Most other companies can not be reached at the weekend but we attended and resolved the problem.
