Review submitted by Stephen from Exeter (Submitted: 14/09/2009)
"Lovely property, fantastic area with mountain veiws. Could do with aircon in the main living and kitchen areas. Pool lovely and well maintained throughout our 2 week stay. Good to have a mid stay clean. Also good to have a contact with Brian for any problems (although we didnt have any) and his local knowledge. Our only negative would be for next year - when the villa above is finished it will limit the privacy and would probably put us off returning its such a shame as everything else is fantastic."

Hi Stephen,

Many thanks indeed for your review of Villa Alicia. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the villa and holiday so much and that you found our service satisfactory. We have decided to add air-conditioning to the living areas and this will be in place for next season. With regards the villa which sits slightly above the villa in a neighbouring street, we have had a close look and there is no intrusion to privacy on our villa, pool terrace or indeed the private pool. The villa is in the final stages of completion and and we do not envisage any issues for 2010. Villa Alicia still remains one of the most private villas we have in one of the quietest locations also. Many thanks again.

"Very quiet and private villa. very nice walk between villa and village square which has a lovely selec tion of restaurants and bars. What more could we ask for given the weather too. Many thanks indeed"

"Needs Air conditioning in the main living area and a drinking water cooler adding. Very good location, quite with great mountain views. Perfect for getting away from it all. Building work near by causing alot of dust."

"The villa was very private which was exactly what we wanted. The rustic feel was in evidence both inside and out. We enjoyed the walk into the village in the evenings where there was a good choice of places to eat with the food definitely surpassing our expectations."

"The property was comfortable with excellent facilities. The three bedrooms with their individual air conditioning and toilet facilities were excellent, as was the provision of kitchen equipment. The pool and outdoor seating were ideal for cooling down after a hot day. Pegeia village has some good restaurants, although we were unable to get food delivered as we did not have a complete address - I would expect street names will be put up once the nearby building work has been completed. As another reviewer commented a car is essential for this property but as long as this is realized then I can thoroughly recommend this villa."

"only criticism is proximity to Peyia village and tavernas. we did not want to drive in the evenings hence chose villa which was described as 10-15 min walk. this was not accurate as walk would have taken a good 25-30 mins and not pleasant as literally through building sites. think it should be described as fairly isolated to avoid disappointment. Anyone without a car would have starved! Apart from that villa itself was lovely and very comfortable."

Thank you for your comments Linda. There are granted a few building sites to walk by, though most are now nearing completion. The walk takes 15-20 mins in our opinion and we do say a car is essential with this villa. It is in a quiet peaceful location on the edge of Peyia. Thanks again.
