| "should be 5 star but had water coming though the lights in the ceiling every time it rained, one towel each for the whole week and dirty. wrote to the owners and complained but didnt get a reply. so customer service rubbish as well"

| "The villa was a good size and having 3 en-suite bathrooms was essential in a house with 7 adults. Overall the villa was nicely decorated although it is not 5 star quality as advertised.
The jacuzzi didnt work, the interior and exterior needed painting and the balcony areas needed proper cleaning. Additional towels during the stay would have been helpful.
The private secluded gardens were well maintained and there was ample parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Carleton village but it needs some improvements to call itself 5 star."

| "Magnificent contemporary villa with matching views although you will need a car as situated in a very hilly area.
Do not expect the maid service and welcome pack as stated and add-ons which were booked and paid for were missing.
However, Mary in reception was incredibly helpful in putting things right.
If you are looking for a laid back relaxing break then look no further!"

| "Top marks for cleanliness - the house, linen and towels, bathrooms (still a rare commodity in Ireland). Everything worked (heating, TV, showers). Excellent and friendly service (the non-Irish person at reception deserved a bit of a kick, but I guess that's the price to pay for the Celtic tiger). For once, "de luxe" actually meant above the average standard. Well done!"

| "Althought the property itself was good, the "Carleton Vilage" was very disappointing. The Facilites were, save the tennis courts, limited. To say there was a swimming pool, was a clear over-statement. We could find no shop in the Carleton Village itself and we did not have a welcome package, which meant we immediately had to forage for food.
The location was good and the views excellent.
We also think that if you are going to have expensive apartments, then having the cheaper apartments alongside cannot justify the higher price."

| "Excellent property, well fitted and furnished, good location. helpful reception staff.
Disappointed that we had problems with showers and with a leak from the fridge; both dealt with but properties at that level should be adequately checked beforre each letting to avoid such nuisance factors."
