| "We were looking for a quiet place to spend our holidays and in Balkan View we have find it, the View is wonderfull and by hot weather there was the pool to cool off. The lodge was a perfect place to explore the surrounding area, Sipka, Etara, Veliko Tarnovo and even Rila. Many thanks for the friendly reception. We had a very fine holiday, thanks."

"We spent 2 wonderful chilled weeks at this property. Although basic and quirky it served all our needs. The views are spectacular and we were totally seduced by Balkan View. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only fault for us was the access to the pool. We feel this needs to have steps and a safety rail installed"

| "For my break, I was looking for a hideaway type of place in a quite location. I certainly found it at Balkan View, the natural environment is stunning. No pollution of any sort, the sky so clear at night it was easy to spot distant stars. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get away from it all for a few days. The owners / managers were so very helpful, going way beyond what one one normally expect, they were never intrusive, yet one felt one could call them if needs be.
I stayed there alone and enjoyed the peace it offered - so many birds and butterflies to watch against the ever changing back drop of the forests and mountains. A place for deep contemplation
It would also be a great place for a group of people who are into hiking or walking and having a barbecue at night.
If you are looking for a quite country holiday retreat Balkan View is the place to go, it's good value for money too."

| "The lodge is in a magnificent location, with fantastic views over the mountains. It is wonderfully quiet; the only noise is from birds and crickets. While we were there we saw lots of interesting birds, including an eagle.
Our toddler much enjoyed exploring the house and garden and splashing in the pool. The only slight drawback was that she needed constant supervision because of the gradient of the garden and the presence of the pool.
We used the lodge as a base to explore the surrounding area, as it is within easy reach of Troyan, Gabrovo, Etar and Sevlievo. It was lovely to return from a busy day sight-seeing to the peace and quiet of the lodge.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, and we were very well looked after. The lodge is perfect for anyone looking for a really quiet holiday home, with the option of things to do and see in the vicinity."
