" We just returned from a wonderful stay in your appartment in El Presidente (from 1/11 till 8/11). I am used to rent an appartment for my holiday but this one was really the most luxuous I ever went to. Great appartment, lot of space but also the furniture is of a high standard. You can feel and see that the owners are sensitive to very nice and beautiful things. The kitchen is also a pleasure as I am a hobby cooker, everything was there, it was clean and all furnture worked well! I hope that I will have the opportunity to go back next year. "

"We have recently returned from our second visit to the apartment. Yet again we were more than impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation and its suitablity for our 4 children. The quality of the furnishing is of a very high standard with more than ample floor space for all of us. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise and more than welcome as we were delayed on our way out. Rachel and Marc were more than happy to assist with the enforced change to plans and throughout the rest of our stay. The up keep of the grounds and facilities is exemplary. There are a good variety of restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone."

"Very good place for children - 5 pools. Kitchen was a little bit dirty - case for cutlery."

Im pleased you enjoyed your stay. I do keep my apartment to a high standard of cleanliness as you can see from the recent reviews submitted before and after your stay.

"The apartment is beautiful, it is spacious and furnished to a high standard. There are many little extras which we did not expect and these really increased the value for money. The gardens around the apartment are beautiful and although there was some maintenance carried out while we were there, it did not interfere with our enjoyment and complete relaxation at the apartment. The roads are a bit confusing at the moment due to roadworks, but, this is totally out of the control of the apartment owner. The welcome pack provided was superb and included a special milk request we had made. We have already booked a holiday at the apartment next year. Our only suggestion is whether it is possible to have a bbq on the terrace? Overall superb."

"Lovely spacious apartment. Stayed with family - party of 6 adults and found the apartment very clean, spacious, comfortable and beautiful location. Were met on arrival and taken directly to the property which was very much appreciated as we arrived late at night and the welcome pack we had requested had been delivered. We rented a car which is recommended as we travelled into nearby towns Puerto Banus and Estepona although there were nice restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely return in the future."

"This property was everything it says it is and is in an amazing complex maticulously well kept, the owners were very helpful. Shopping is not easy without a car but we got bye using Taxis that are on the complex entrance, buses are really cheap to Estapona and Puerto Banus. The beaches are dissapointing but with 5 fantastic swimming pools we didnt miss the beach.local bars are good ant the Crown Plaza Hotel next door was a pleasant place to visit. The complex is superb for family orientated holidays, kids love it and the big pool has lifeguards in attendance.great holiday"

Review submitted by Maxine from Truro (Submitted: 04/08/2009)
"This property was excellent and the complex itself very well looked after. It is suitable for young families and older couples. The rules are quite strict though on noise around the pools (no inflatabes, no jumping in) and late night entertainment as lots of the apartments are occupied by the owners. So this may not be suitable for teenagers or young adults. We had a very good time and left totally relaxed."

"Exactly as described. Very good on every aspect."

Review submitted by Cherry from London (Submitted: 17/07/2009)
"The villa lived up to all our expectations. All the rooms were extremely clean and tidy and were exactly as they appeared in the photos on the website. Another lovely touch was the welcome pack that Val provided without us even requesting it - the wine was received particularly well! The small folder they left us, describing different places to visit in the area, was also very handy but it might have been good to have some sort of directions - we spent about half an hour trying to find the tennis courts. El Presidente itself was beautiful. The fountains and all the exotic flowers made it feel even more luxurious and tropical. The security staff were also very good and the pools were well kept and clean. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are just trying to work out when we could visit again next year."

"Nice host friendly and helpfull. The appartment was clean and well maintained. Car is a must and marbella is a 10 min drive. The only thing i can put my finger on in the negative way was that the appartment feelt a little dampt or moisty despite i used the aircond. A nice and quiet place and the kids loved the variety of pools. highly recommended vacation. From Norway Runar"

"The apartment was fantastic and the complex was the best weve ever stayed at. Great service too. All in all excellent! Thanks"

"We loved the apartment, it was like staying in a 5 star hotel suite. It was great to have all the mod cons in the kitchen, especially the dishwasher. We really appreciated the welcome pack, the second set of keys and the speed with which the DVD player was replaced. Rachel was a great help. The apartment and complex are beautiful, and we miss sitting on the balcony... We had a great break!"

"fantastic property and complex but didnt like the immediate area and proximity to the main road"

Owner reply: :
Thank you for your comments and I’m so pleased that you thought the property and complex was fabulous. Just one of the many attractions of El Presidente is that it is beach-side to the N340 road so it’s just a short stroll from the apartment to a nice quiet beach with a very welcoming beach bar. For the benefit of our readers, El Presidente itself is quiet & privately located away from the N340 road behind a grove of tall pine trees.

"Dear Val, we enjoyed the week in your apartment very much. It was extremely well equipped, and beautifully furnished. The whole apartment and surrounding area was well maintained and clean. We had an excellent winter break and would recommend it to anybody. Many thanks again, Ann and Terry Morgan."

Review submitted by Lu from Poole (Submitted: 19/10/2008)
"It would have been much better if water and milk was provided as it was very annoying to find a shop and buy water as soon as we arrive. It was a shame that there wasnt a map of the area and instructions to get to various places as the roads were very confusing and BUSY. You should not advertise a heated pool as that is why we booked and the pool was no warmer than the others so our daughter couldnt swim. Better to allow people into the villa when they arrive not 4pm. Must be a long wait for some people who arrive in the morning with children. Apart from the above it was wondeful. ps: No sharp knives in the kitchen!"

Owner reply: :
I’m so pleased you found the apartment and El Presidente wonderful, it’s a very special place, set amid a pine woodland, beautiful semi-tropical gardens and close to many fine Golf Courses. You should have received a local area map as it was emailed along with information that includes travel directions and places of interest to visit. Unfortunately it’s not practical to provide maps & directions to suit everyone’s taste as there is just so much to do on this part of the coast. For example the historic cities of Cordoba, Seville, and Granada are all within 21/2 hours drive, let alone the plethora of activities that are quite nearby. If you had requested anything specific we would of course provide that for you. The reason why you could not get into the apartment before 4pm was because it was being cleaned & linen renewed in readiness for your arrival as other guests left that day. A welcome pack is always provided if requested but across the road there are two excellent supermarkets that guests have to drive past to get to El Presidente. I’m sorry that the heated pool was not on during your stay but its usually heated towards the end of October as the water is still reasonably warm. Unfortunately the week of your stay was marred by abnormal storms and subsequently all 5 pools became cool without the sunshine. The heated pool was switched on 17th October & the weather has returned to 25 deg , blue skies and sunshine.

"We arrived at the property to be met by an extremely pleasant young lady, Rachel, who is from the property management company. She took us to the apartment, and we were taken aback by how lovely it was, everything extremely well laid out, and presented with care. El Presidente complex was surprisingly easy to find right next to the Crowne Plaza, yet it was as if it wasnt there due to the trees to the front of the compex. The complex itself is beautifully laid out, its almost as if it was in another world, the pools were fantastic and the gardens were well kept. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone, its an ideal base from which to explore the area. Only one word is needed to summarise - excellent."

"A super property - beautifully decorated, spacious & well equipped - grounds & pools beautiful and well maintained. (Children loved the pools!) Convenient location - a good number of restaurants within 5-10 mins walking distance. Recommend hiring a car to make the most of exploring this fascinating part of Spain."

"We have had a lovely holiday in this apartment, it was extremely tastfully decorated, there are many exciting places to visit, ie, Gibralter, Selwi safari Park, Puerto Banus. hiring a car is a must. We would definately go back and visit this apartment. "

Review submitted by Kelly from Nr Wellingborough (Submitted: 16/04/2008)
"Appartment was classy, modern and very clean and tidy. Complex was gorgeous-the large water features and 5 pools were clean and well looked after. The complex was quiet, unsure if this was due to us going out of season (early April) so we had the pools to ourselves! Our ages range from 27-31 and this area was perfectly ok for us, although it would probably suit older couples and families more. You definately need to hire a car-which we enjoyed and found very easy to do (recommend sixT). Will definately go back and have already recommended it to others. But go a month later...We had rain for 4 days, but the 2 days of sun were scorchers! Would recommend a welcome pack and a decent map of the local area for people when they arrive. "

" What a fabulous appartment, we were met by Kath who showed us around. We had been to the complex before and was so impressed that we brought this time our two sons and their partners...all very impressed ...the terrace was lovely the flowers/pots/plants all added to the ambience of sitting outside with a glass of wine. The complex itself... I would recommed it to anyone...anyone who would appreicate the gardens/tranquilty of the complex...some might not like this... We have read other reviews about restaurants on the other side of the road......we have been to this complex twice, we have not even been tempted to cross the bridge, the restaurants this side of the road are just wonderful. WE WILL BE BACK, Linda & Lawrance Coventry "

"Our party consisted of four different generations comprising six adults and a baby and we were all very well catered for with plenty of space to enable us to have a relaxing holiday The apartment is very well equipped for six people and we were particularly impressed with the quality of the bedding & towels etc. I would suggest that a car is essential as there are some lovely resorts nearby to visit."

Review submitted by Suzanne from Wokingham (Submitted: 23/10/2007)
"A beautiful property set in immaculate grounds and a pleasure to stay there. Slightly further to Puerto Banus than we expected - but we did stay whilst road works were ongoing to the main road which added to travelling times. Worth going into Benhavis or to one of the resorts for restaurants as those close by, although they look very nice, are mostly along the main road. Wonderful holiday, wonderful apartment - wish it was ours!"

"We had the best of times. Donna was very helpful and accommodated all our requests. The property was clean, supplied with all necessities and then some... We had such a good time we did not want to leave! :( ...thank you very much for helping us to have a great vacation! We will be back!"

Review submitted by Hilary from St Helier (Submitted: 10/07/2007)
"Nice property, well presented but possibly the decor could be considered a little dated for modern tastes, but extremely clean and kitchen is very well equipped which was much more important. The resort is well maintained and the pool areas are very nice. We were met on arrival & given the keys, and had no problems when we were there. The only thing we found slightly disappointing was that there were a lot more bars & restaurants on the other side of the busy main road, and it was quite a walk to either of the footbridges to get across. Our party had a 75year old & also a 20 month old baby in a buggy so this walk & then climbing up the steps & down again was not really feasible. There is no way we could cross the main road as it is incredibly busy day & night. There was a bar, some restaurants & a small supermarket on the same side as the complex, all within a 10 minute walk, but I feel a car is definately required to gain access to a greater variety of bars/restaurants/supermarkets etc, either across the road or elsewhere. All in all we had a great holiday & would recommend this apartment."

Owner reply: :
Thanks for your comments. I’m sorry you didn’t locate all the bars & restaurants Beach side of the A7/N340. Actually, there is a wide range of good quality Restaurants & Bars Beach-Side – in fact about 15 in all within walking distance of El Presidente. Addtionally there is the 5* Crowne Plaza Spa Hotel which has a beautiful pool-side bar and Restaurant. On the beach behind El Presidente there are 3 very good ‘chirungitos’ (beach bars/restaurants). A car is recommended if you want to enjoy the surrounding areas although there is a bus top outside El Presidente and a Taxi rank.

"We really enjoyed our time at the El Presidente Apartment. There was only four of us so we really had plenty of room. The Apartment has been decorated and furnished with style. For us the best way to enjoy the holiday was to spend some time in the superb El Presidente grounds and travel around Andalucia..recommend Eugenios restaurant in Benhavis."

Review submitted by Angela from Worsley (Submitted: 19/06/2007)
"The Apartment is extremely well presented and contains everything you would need for an enjoyable stay. The gardens and fountains were particularily attractive. The pools are first class. There are at least half a dozen good restaurants within 10 min walking and couple of bars. The only down side is the busy N340 (which although cannot be seen or heard) has to be crossed by footbridge to get to more restaurants bars etc."

Review submitted by Linda from Staffordshire (Submitted: 11/04/2007)
"A beutiful property, which is well furnished and kept clean. All appliances are available in the appartment from, hair dryer to dishwasher. It did feel like a home from home, but in much nicer setting. There are five pools, all set in well maintained gardens, which once agin are kept litter free. The whole complex is quite and I found it easy to relax. There are local shops and restuarants catering for all tastes and all very reasonably priced. There is a local bus route which will take you into Marbella and also travel agents who will book trips for you, so non of the pushy rep when you go on a package holiday. We went to Gibralta for the day and it is well worth a visit."

Review submitted by Lynda & Peter from Darwen, Lancashire, England (Submitted: 02/11/2006)
"The apartment was very spacious which was excellent. Perhaps the option of a welcome pack, milk, bread, water etc would be an advantage. Up todate information regarding the surrounding area and restaurants could have been better and a plan of the complex would have been helpful. These are only suggestions and it certainly did not spoil the holiday."

Owner reply: :
Thanks for your suggestions Lynda and I have now included a plan of the complex in the information pack that is routinely sent by e-mail. I checked the details about the surrounding area when I was at El Presidente recently & the information is relevant. There is so much to see and do on the Costa that it would be impractical to include everything. Welcome packs can be arranged on request. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back soon.

Review submitted by Ester from Coventry (Submitted: 26/10/2006)
"The villa was excellent, we enjoyed our stayed immensely. What would be useful is a map of major facilities times of buses, costs of taxis etc. although Val sent me details of restaurants, shops a detailed map would have been helped especially as this was our first visit in that area. Also a map of the complex where the pools were and tennis courts - as there two to choose from. There were lots of brochures left in the villa which again was very helpful. These are all minor points, otherwise great place."

Review submitted by Julie from North East (Submitted: 09/08/2006)
"The appartment was beautifully furnished spotless on arrival and certainly outshone the pictures posted on the web-site. The complex is very quiet, not a resort as such, more of a residential feel which included security checks and lifeguards on site. The location was great, as amenities were within a short walk (great when its so hot!) including a wide variety of restaurants, and a brief drive in our hire car to access the region. The children (ages range from 12ys to 9yrs) thoroughly enjoyed the Selwo animal reserve, the Marina at Benelmadena, and the aquapark at Fuengirola. The marina at nearby Peurto Banus is an absolute must. Many thanks for a lovely stay and we have already recommended the appartment to family and friends. "

"Our family found the accommodation very good. There was everything on hand that anyone could need. Everything worked, we used the dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave etc. There was space for the small children to play on the terrace. It was World Cup time when we visited and the grown up boys could watch all the games onTV. The gardens were very well maintained as were the swimming pools. The children thoroughly enjoyed their time in the main pool with the children's area. I would say that a car is essential especially for shopping as it is a bit of a walk to the nearby small shops. We wern't particularly keen on the nearby beach but there are plenty of others about within a short drive. "

"on the upside, beautiful gardens and fountain area's, a very well run development felt very secure, good size apt excellent position in corner overlooking lovely pool area, tastefully furnished to good standard with very nice decor. on the downside, ITV chanel big problem reception drove us mad especially with the world cup being on it was so bad had to watch the games on spanish tv. Kithen table wobbly even the paper mat trick under the leg woudnt stop it from rocking, and in our opinion utensils and crockery need updating. We would book the apartment again and recommend it to friends."

"I have to say the apartment meet and exceeded our expectations, the photos really do not do it justice. The apartment is extremely spacious and very bright. The decor is top class. The setting is wonderful and maintained to a high standard, and the pools are just brilliant. The children were in their element. Although the shops and resturants are about a 20 min walk away (over the bridge), I can highly recommend 'Grumbles'. Wonderful food and good hospitalitiy. We would definately return. Thanks for a brilliant holiday. Emma and family."

"Lovely flat, spacious, well furnished with access to heated swimming pool on complex as well as four other pools. Excellent for family with 2 or 3 (or 4) kids. Only let down by being somewhat musty for no obvious reason. First floor. no lift, so must be able bodied. Good location within 40mins of Malaga airport and short drive to Puerto Banus and Marbella. Supermarkets and petrol staion within couple of minutes drive."

"We had a wonderful time at El Presidente. The apartment is luxurious, very clean and welcoming and situated in a beautiful estate with lovely swimming pools. A short walk away is a great little beach (and much frequented beach hut serving drinks and snacks). We hired a car and went to Ronda, Marbella & Puerto Banus. We especially loved Selwo Safari park (only a few kilometres away) and we spent a whole day there - it was magnificent and our 2 little boys (4 and 5 years old) really enjoyed going on the safari trucks and crossing the many rope bridges. Thank you Val and Roger for the use of your apartment, we hope to stay at El Presidente again as there is so much to do and see in the area and we would strongly recommend it to all. Thanks again Val and Roger, Best wishes from Jo, Noel,Daniel and Luke"

"The property is well proportioned and very tastefully decorated. Given 5 adults were staying at the apartment we never once felt hemmed-in during our week's stay. Everything worked well and the local key and support arrangements went off without a hitch. All in all a very nice apartment and proof of the adage that invariably one gets what one pays for."

"Great apartment in lovely surrondings.

Owners were very helpful with directions from Jerez airport (cheaper than flying Easyjet to Malaga - fly Ryanair from Stanstead)

Only downside is crossing the dual carriageway to get to some of the restaurants (via footbridge).

Would recommend a car as there is a lot to see and do.

"I had a great time in El Presidente, also did my dad and friend. Especially my dad found it great as the pool was just outside and he could enjoy some walks in and around the park.

Thanks again to share with us such a nice place.

Kind regards,
