| "The villa was excellent the views were outstanding it was so peaceful and tranquil just what we wanted.
It was very well equiped and the owners have made it very homely.
Credit as well to the lovely couple who look after the villa it is kept spotless and they are very friendly and helpful.
We will be definetly going back again in the near future wish we could have stayed longer as it was such a lovely place .

"If you dont like commercialism and loads of tourists then this is the place for you! It is a peaceful beautiful location - Kokkino Horio means red sun and it lives up to its name at sunset! Villa is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated with several balconies to take advantage of the views , the sun and the breezes. AC and fans in all rooms to keep you cool at night. Thoughtful touches eg plug in child night light, dvds and the option to pre order food supplies for late arrivals. Good helpful photo directions but a villa name plaque on the junction of the track that leaves the road would be helpful - as many other villa owners appear to do in the area."

| "very comfortable villa- plenty of shade and a lovely breeze when its too hot to sit in the sun. Air conditioning a real bonus for getting a good nights sleep. Very peaceful location with lovely views and glorious sunsets. Local villages provide good places to eat and do a bit of shopping. Good local beaches and lots of opportunities for day trips. Villa is hidden away but directions and photos good in helping us to find it."

| "A very well equiped property and a lovely clean pool. As it is positioned high in the village it is not overlooked and is quite private. As a couple we really only used the ground floor but it would be more than ideal for two couples and to still have space and plenty of sunbathing privacy.

| "We picked this villa as we know the area very well. It is our idea of heaven as the peace and quiet you experience there is fantastic. You can be safe in the knowledge that there will be no noisey neighbours waking you up in the early hours of the morning on their way home. You can drive to any of the nearby resorts and eat in one of the many lovely traditional Greek tavernas, who wants Mc Donalds!! not us.
This villa is a lovely size and very well equipped with everything you will need.
Although we are good friends with Chris and Phil the keyholders, they are always there to help and point you in the right direction for anything you may need.
We will be back in September and will definately be back next year 2010 but for longer than a week this time."

| "My husband and I stayed here for the week in September. The villa was beautiful, well equipped, and felt "just like home". We enjoyed day trips around the area, and looked forward to coming "home" at night to eat dinner on the veranda. The views were lovely, and several days we spent just hanging out at the villa, as it was almost too nice to leave! Thanks for a lovely stay, well be back! sincerely, Ivan and Patty Marcus"

| "A very nice villa, well laid out, especially if there are 2 couples,you can have your own space,like being in 2apts! A little bit out of the way,but top views and peaceful,but if you want to be left alone to do your own thing ideal! Just one thing I think the directions should say to go through KAMBIA, after PLAKA and look for the 2nd cemetary,before kokkino horio turn off!! Apart from that a good time was had by all,many thanks,may well return another year!"

| "Beautiful location still in middle of rural farming area (sheep and goats, olive and almond trees). Fabulous views of sea and mountains. Very quiet and lots of lovely birdsong.
House extremely well appointed in terms of space of rooms, kitchen and bathrooms fittings and taste of decor. Especially nice is half bare stonework interior walls.
Only worries would be how long will this idyll remain relatively isololated. I would estimate 2 years max - many villas being built around - none close so far.
Also you may be surprised to know that the house is a full ten minutes drive to the nearest beach. No problem with a car"

| "The villa stands in a quiet and peaceful place with spectacular views of the sea and mountains. At the same time you can get to the beaches, tavernas and shops in 10 minutes. The villa is very well furnished and equipped and makes you feel like home. The pool is great. We spend a wonderful month there with my wife and daughter and can strongly recommend it to anyone whos looking for a nice family holiday in a beautiful place."

| "Beautifully situated villa, with plenty of space and extremely well equipped. Comfortably furnished throughout. Ample, comfortable seating, whether inside or out. Immaculately clean and tended by a friendly, yet unobtrusive, couple who live in the village. The pool was well maintained and provides a good outdoor focal point. Just about everything included at the villa to make this a very relaxing, stress-free holiday. Highly recommended."

| "The villa was excellent, everything was exactly as described. It was a very peasceful place to stay, which is exactly what we wanted. Ideal place to stay to explore Western Crete. The beaches were only a very short drive away. Swiming in the pool at night, looking at the stars and then taking a drinnk of retsina up to the veranda to end the night. Heaven!"

| "Very well explained details (with pictures ) to drive us from the airport to the house located near a nice and small village.Quiet surroundings and nature!Sea and mountains views !After going through those more touristic villages (Almyrada,.. )on our way,we really appreciate our final choice in Kokkino Horio.
The house is isolated and sometimes some sheeps made their way in front of the house : they love to run when they see us.Have your camera ready to snap them !The house is perfectno negative point ! The pool is great and so refreshing ! Easy to get our marché in the village.Kitchen well equiped and perfect outdoor spot to have luncha terrace protected from the sun.Perfect house for a family or 2 couples.We didn nt hear about the owner but everything was well explained and suggested for a perfect holiday !

| "Beautiful Villa, built and furnished to a very high standard. Stunning pool and surrounding. Set on a lovely hillside with fantastic views. Not easy to find in the dark but once you are there it is worth it. Some lovely local tavernas to eat at in surrounding villages. Hopefully the area wont be ruined by too much more development as it is a ideal situation at present for a relaxing, retreat away from the crowds. The english speaking key holders who live on the same hillside are very helpful and friendly but did not intrude at all on our holiday, checked to see we were ok on arrival and cleaned the pool once during our 1 week stay.
A beautiful villa, well worth visiting."
