"The Dolphin Penthouse we rented in Ozdere was one of the highlights of our three week vacation in Turkey. The apartment was spacious, well located and very well appointed. "

"this is a beautiful property, in a lovely location. If you want night life and lots of entertainment, then this is not the one for you. However for a peaceful, relaxing, and laid back hoilday it is ideal. Beautiful sandy beech, lots of water sports, nice people, lots of resturants and bars."

"Really lo-ooot of space for 2 adults and 2 kids 11 & 14 yo. Large and lovely living room and kitchen with everything necessary for cooking - we just added the big pot to cook soup, and a few wooden tools. Though, the dish washing machine would be of great help, of course. I would pay a bit more for use it than to wash dishes by hands, almost every day... Close to everything: beach, supermarket with an assortment to satisfy both kids and adults, internet cafe, pharmacy, doctor office, Dolphin travel agency - everything within 5 minutes of slow walking. Very nice interior decoration of the living room with J. Vettriano's reproductions on the walls and cozy Wales porcelain in cabinet and, of course, the most comfortable sofas and divans in the world - very stylish european Riviera's fleur. Large master bedroom with nice comfortable queen bed. Cozy woolen carpets everywhere. Nice bedroom with 2 beds for kids, with lockable balcony door. 2 huge terraces - one adjacent to the master bedroom, another - to the guest bedroom (on the left from the stairs), both with seaview. We enjoyed having our morning and evening tea there, taking sun bath laying on the chaise lounges and just playing table games or reading books. The space was really important for us - to escape from each other when you need to enjoy some loneliness and tranquility. From the other side, villa is located close to the road. If you are not an early riser and sleep with the windows and balcony open, you'd better chose the master bedroom - the traffic starts at about 7 am and noise is rather tangible in the guest bedroom. Though, if you prefer air conditioning while you sleep, the silence is provided, since you anyway have to close all windows. Villa is part if lovely community which is located in a beauty spot of Ozdere – the view from the boat is even lovelier. There're few options to spend evenings there: 1. Watch TV inside penthouse 2. Take a long walk along the seashore promenade, enjoying sea view and smells and tasting alive oysters sprinkled by lemon juice from the street sellers 3. Take a walk along the main Ataturk boulevard, making some shopping and dropping into bars - I would recommend the Dolphin bar, close to Dolphin travel agency - you can enjoy drinks, including nice spirits there and listen to live lounge european and turkish jazz there. 4. To walk inside the community, watching people and houses, rising up and going down the hills – the most favourite way of spending time of my kids, in the evening… 5. Rent a car or take a dolmush and drive to the Grand Efe hotel to shake your body at disco - this is just 5 minutes driving from Ozdere village. 6. To enjoy great kebabs at restaurant just across the street 7. To prepare a great dinner and serve it at one of the terraces upstairs and enjoy the wonderful smells coming from oleanders and liquideambers and cypresses 8. To enjoy book in jacuzzy bath close to the master bedroom, sipping a glass of wine. By the way, the wine in Pehlivanolgu supermarket is quite nice. I liked Semergy bottles of both white and red dry ones. There tastes are light and price is quite appropriate. Another option is to taste more expressive Kappadokian wines (11-29 TYL for a bottle). The satellite TV is available on request (100EUR per 3 weeks) - with more than 1000 channels, including all european news and sports channels. Discovery, National Geographic, CNN are for extra payment. We visited the second time Ephesus – and saw more interesting things there, which were excavated and restored since October 2005. It takes just 30 minutes to reach Ephesus, from Ozdere! This time we decided not to visit Pamukkale – we’ve been there already. According to Dolphin Travel guys, it’s about 4.5 hr driving to reach there. I would strongly recommend to visit that unique place – there’s no other similar one, in the entire world. We drove to Izmir and driving to marina and then by ferry across the golf to the opposite part of Izmir, together with cars buses and bicycles on the low deck – that was worth to experience, especially for kids! The property is literally in 30 min driving from Adnan Menderes airport, with 15 min driving along the breathtaking seashore view. We experienced the water shortness just twice there: first time when we just arrived and there were the fires between Ozdere and Kushadasy, and all water was taken by fire engines. Second time - at the end of our 3-week stay - due to preventive test. The only little annoyance was with the metal frame under the bed in one of bedrooms - its legs broke at our first night and it was impossible to substitute it while we were staying at penthouse - the furniture company was in Izmir and the property owner was out of Turkey at that time and unavailable to fix this situation. But we enjoyed sleeping on the nice mattress, placed right upon the floor, which was even more comfortable for my daughter ... To conclude, I would highly recommend the Dolphin Penthouse to families with kids, as the most capricious part of travelers. Though, if you are a lonely traveler, kind of misanthrope, you’ll enjoy it even more… "

"Lovely penthouse located in the poshest part of this former fishing village. Good value for money and allows you to access some of the main arhitectural attractions within a one-hour drive. Had a wonderful time and we'd like to go back there in the future. "
