| "We all had an absolutely fabulous week at Casa Caballos. The weather was excellent, the accommodation was just right for 5 of us, and was well equipped, clean and welcoming. The location is stunning, and our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and competent at sorting out that needed sorting. Our kids used the pool every day and their swimming improved enormously. We also found the other guests very friendly, as were the locals. We didnt do much traveling around because we were enjoying ourselves too much on site, but we know from other guests that there is plenty to do in the region. We would definitely go there again, thanks Jackie and Nik for a great holiday, hope to see you again soon.

| "The Stables at Casa Caballos gave us the perfect relaxing holiday, in the most amazing location. The accomadation and Nik and Jacqui made the difficulty of holidaying with a baby easy, providing us with everything that you would need. Casa Caballos offered the ideal setting to walk in the hills, explore the local villages and get a real feel for this stunning part of Spain. Thank you for a fantastic holiday."

Jackie and Nik were good hosts, there when you needed them but still giving you privacy. A perfect week away. we intend to return again"

| "The Stables was a lovely place and very nicely decorated. We had everything there we needed. The patio was a good spot for catching some rays and we used the Bar be que quite a bit.
The place is ideal for young families and because the rooms are so dark (when the shutters are closed), we got plently of much needed lie ins. The bed was very comfy and nice and big.
The swimming area was good and great because it is far enough away from the house that you can relax and not think the kids are playing near it.
Nik and Jacqui are lovely people and very welcoming. Rosie and George were really nice children and we had good fun with them in the pool.
The surrounding area is beautiful and you do get use to the winding roads quickly.
The photos on the website dont do the place juctice.

| "We had truly awful weather so did not see the area around Casa Caballos to its best advantage. Nik and Jackie were very friendly, helpful and informative, and The Stables is an attractive, well-appointed and comfortable cottage (and we spent more time that we had envisaged in it!)"

| "Nik, Jackie, and family were excellent hosts and were able to provide us with just the right amount of contact and service. Everything felt very comfortable and straight forward. A great place for a vacation. The units are smartly designed and have elements that illustrate that the owners have really thought smartly about what their guests may be looking for particularly those traveling with children. We would definitely recommend others to stay here.

| "What a fantastic place for a holiday. The Stables was well equipped, clean and comfortable. nick and jackie were perfect hosts, always willing to assist, but never interfering. The views from the pool are magnificent. The pool may be cool as referred to by an earlier review, but in the heat of late August that was perfect.
The area is fantastic, with good restaurants/bars in the nearby village, where the proprieters were very welcoming and the food both good and cheap.
We were well aware of the distance to Loja, but the drive is not at all difficult and the views on the way make it all part of the holiday.
We will be back. Thanks to you both for making our stay so enjoyable."

| "Casa Caballos was the best holiday we have had since the children. The amazing view from the poolside of the olive groves and mountains never tired, providing a wonderful location for a truely relaxing holiday - an unexpected bonus with two four year olds! On the odd occasion when we were asked "what are we doing next", Nick and Jackie's excellent knowledge of the area and local festivals ensured we were able to embark on another adventure and all important distraction. A fantastic experience, the success of which can be measured by our son's enquiry as to when we would be moving to Spain! Thank you Nick and Jackie."

| "Fantastic house in idyllic rural location - a great way to see the andalucian life style. The property - 'the stables' - has a large living area and kitchen with two very good bedrooms with great views of mountains and olive groves. Swimming pool is also nice (if a little cold). A great place to stay if you want to experience the real rural ways of Andalucia. Restaurants in area are great value but basic. Casa Caballos well situated to visits to Granada and other beautiful places in region. Owners (Nick and Jackie) very welcoming (as are their 3 dogs and 2 cats!) and helpful.
Website details of Casa Caballos undersell place."

"The house was large, clean and very well equipped. The location of the pool was stunning and the pool was large, however, in need of cleaning. we really appreciated the welcome with milk, bread and wine, that was a very nice touch.
The major drawback to this place is the distance from Loja - it took between 20 to 25 minutes to get to the cottage from Loja, which greatly increases the travelling time to Granada/Malaga, etc. This was not reflected in the advertisement."
Owner reply:

Thank you for your great comments. The travel times are given for all the places mentioned above, on our website. The renter must have missed these when booking our property.

| "We loved our stay at Casa Caballos, the farm house has been beautifully renovated and is well equipped. The patio area was our favorite as it made us feel like we were on a movie set. The patio area overlooking the valley was the best place to enjoy the spectacular sunset views. If you are looking for the real rural Andalucian experience this house is absolutely perfect, if you are looking to use it as a base to visit Seville, Cordoba etc it does not work as the mountain road is narrow and not recommended at night or for fast drivers. We did enjoy the villages that were close by like Monte Frio. Our hostesses Jaqui and Nick were wonderful, as they knew we would be travelling with children they had the playroom full of kids toys, highchair etc."

| "Nik and Jackie are wonderful hosts, always available to help. The Stables and Farmhouse are comfortable and well decorated, and the surrounding area is very beautiful. The swimming pool has an amazing view, and the donkeys were very obliging! From Casa Caballos we did day trips to Seville and Granada and even went skiing in the Sierra Nevada for a day! The children had a wonderful time playing outside, and we all felt we'd had the best holiday for many years."

I'll try to translate (sorry for mistakes): At the beginning of march we spent eight days at Casa Caballos togehter with our children (5 and 7 years old), all of us feeling perfectly comfortable there. The weather was unpayable (only sun), the property is - as you may expect due to the price - not luxery but very cosy and stylish, the landscape is stunning and far away from masstourism as you find it at Costa del Sol - and our hosts Jackie and Nik were absolutly great and helpful: The mainreason for the wonderful atmosphere at Casa Caballos has been their unusual hospitality. So we hope to come back as soon as possible!

| "Casa Caballos is a beautifully sited property with stunning views across the beautiful Andalucian hills and valleys, epecially from the pool area. The villa is on a quiet, winding road, five minutes drive from the nearest village. The villa owners are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable (speaking excellent English and Spanish)."

| "Just what we wanted - but turned out to be more. the accommodation was clean and had the facilities we needed (there were five of us but could easily have taken six). More - because the area had any number of shops, restaurants etc with owners who seemed genuinely pleased to see us and there were fascinating places to visit close by. Torremolinas eat your heart out!
A superb base to see a real part of Spain - we'll be going again!
Thanks to Nick and Jackie for being the perfect hosts - always their but never in your face - unlike Conway.
If you want to sunbathe topless the dogs will help... :-|"
