| "We had a very relaxing holiday here. The Aguamarina complex is spotless and well maintained. It is very secure and has underground car parking facilities, but not for every apartment. This apartment has a parking bay, but we did not know the number of it. This wasnt a problem during our stay as it was very quiet. The sunbeds are very comfortable and the pool area is very clean, as is the pool.
It would be helpful to let guests know where the rubbish should be taken to. Also, if there could be instructions on which compartment to put in soap powder in the washing machine. There was always lots of hot water. We were only given one bath towel and one hand towel each for the week and only one tea towel. Another set would be useful. Overall, apartment 207 was very comfortable and we have recommended it to friends who are thinking of going on holiday to Golf Del Sur."

| "Great views over pool area and out to sea from both rooms. Good value for money rental, would go back again. Kitchen nice and modern - although didnt cook much as too many places to choose from to eat out! Owner attentive and kept in touch. Great location - within walking distance of supermarket and restaurants worth hiring car to get to see the rest of the island. Dont forget to go whale watching."

"It was wonderful to have such uninterrupted views of the sea.
Also having cushions on settee chairs and beds made a big difference- thank you.
A remote control for the TV would have been great!

| "We spent one month at this apartment, which we enjoyed very much. The complex is very quite and very well kept. there are a number of resturants close by, where you can eat out , the large shopping area at sand blas also has a number of eating places.
On the whole we had a very nice relaxing holiday and we will certainly be returning next year.
If you are after a quite relaxing holiday this is the place for you"

| "Beautiful apartment and fantastic location - what a wonderful and relaxing holiday!!
Ive never booked an apartment independently before and was slightly nervous beforehand but I need not have worried! The minute I walked through the door and saw a lovely clean apartment and the stunning views over the sea I knew it was going to be a great holiday!
We ate at some great local restaurants (all within walking distance), spent long lazy days by the pool and occasionally ventured out in the car to see the rest of the island. (Mount Teide is fab!).
Overall a 5 star holiday - thanks very much Jon, we WILL be returning."

"Had a very quiet and relaxing holiday as there was not much to do. Apartment was adequate but mosquito screens would have been good at night so that doors could be opened. The heat was stiffling even with the fans on but we couldnt open the doors because mosquitoes were biting every night ! The apartment was in an excellent location and had everything we needed - the bath was a bit dirty when we arrived and the floors a bit dusty but apart from that we settled in. The complex is very well kept and on the whole was excellent. Pity there was one grumpy german woman who had to tell off children for having fun ! I would definately recommend a hire car because we felt it a bit quiet for the whole 2 weeks and it is too costly to get taxis everywhere. Thanks for a good relaxing holiday."

Thank you for your feedback and I glad you had a lovely time.
You visited during a week in August when Tenerife experienced a heatwave with unusually high temperatures. Having visited the apartment many times in the summer, I can assure you that the ceiling fans are perfectly adequate at keeping the apartment cool. (I have also never come across a mosquito in the apartment so perhaps this was down to the heatwave).
Sorry if the apartment wasnt as clean as hoped. I will speak to the management team as they normally keep the apartment spotless.
We take great pride at keeping the apartment to the very highest standards and can assure any future client reading this that the apartment is more deserving of 4 / 5 star rating. (Please see all the other reviews).

| "2nd time to the apartment and we loved it just as much as the first. The weather was superb and we enjoyed many an hour lying by the pool. The pool area is probably the most relaxing place place to sunbathe Ive ever been too!
The apartment was looking even nicer than last time and its obviously very well looked after. Once again we enjoyed the taxi meet and greet service provided by John which is excellent value for money.
Some new restaurants have opened up since our last visit. The Chinese / Japanese called Teppanyaki is superb!
Overall a lovely holiday and we will return."

"Clean and well presented, slightly small for a family of 4 but my choice to go for 1 bedroom. Kitchen all that you require for a 2 week break and it was handy to have a washing machine. The balcony had a nice view over the pool and out into the sea and was nice and cool as it is positioned so it never gets direct sun. The complex was nice and the kids loved the swimming pool. Golf del Sur was an excellent base if you are happy with a quite holiday. The choice for eating nearby and at San Blas was excellent. If you are a keen golfer the Campo de Golf is worth a visit. Overall a very good holiday."

Thank you for your very nice feedback and I am glad you had a great time.
The balcony is directly south facing and gets the sun for 9 months of the year. For the other 3 (approx July / Aug / Sept) when the sun is at it highest, most of the balcony stays in the shade. We purposefully chose the apartment because any others we had stayed in during the summer month are unbearably hot whereas ours keeps nice and cool. (of course there is sunshine by the pool at all time). For the other 9 months when the sun is less intense it comes nicely onto the balcony.
For the benefit of future readers, I have recently deleted two reviews. One because it was quite bizarrelly of a different apartment (!) and the other because it was factually incorrect. There are curently 34 other reviews showing 4 star plus ratings.
Just to let you know, we have e-grouted the bathroom and it is now sparkling. We make every attempt to keep the apartment in tip top condition and want all our clients to have the best experience possible.

| "We had a lovely time at the apartment. It has the real "wow" factor when you walk in - the views are just stunning!
Apartment was spotlessly clean with obvious recent modernisation in the bathroom as well as new sofa and bed throws.
Complex and pool area was immaculately kept. The cleaners worked everyday and obviously take pride in keeping the complex extremely clean.
Great selec tion of local restaurants all within walking distance and the whole resort had a lovely relaxed feel.
We took advantage of the taxi meet and greet service that was offered which was ideal.
Overall, a very relaxing holiday in a beautiful apartment. Thank you Jon, we will be returning!"

"Nice apartment in an excellent position. Ideal for us, as we were looking for a quiet week just to relax and get some sun.
Only criticism, the apartment could have been cleaner. Bed covers were tired looking and stained. Fan in the lounge is very dirty.
Overall we had a nice week. Pleasant outlook, nice walk to San Blas where there were some very good restaurants."

The apartment was spotlessly clean but I've fedback your comments to the management team.
We try extremely hard to maintain the apartment to the highest standards and are continually adding to it. On occasions we come over specifically to buy new things for the apartment and want our guests to have the best experience in it. We do feel it is in one of the best positions not only in the complex but the whole area and hope many people in the future will be able to come and enjoy the wonderful views!

My family booked four other apartments in the complex and this was definitley in the best position of them all.

"kate and i loved it right by the sea,the pictures were exactly how we found it.we know the area well and found instructions very good.
bit of building going on next door but due to end iminantly.
the apartment was better than expected and we loved it.
i saw some previous comment about the fridge and did discover to be a bit of a irritant not being in the itchen area.
it would be lovely before we go again to know if the owner is going to do any work on the slighly tired bathroom or even a quick spruce just round the bath area.
the most important thing was it has a great situation ,easy to get to great parking near eateries and facilities.we have already passed details to relatives and friends.

Many thanks for your feedback and I am really glad you loved the apartment. As you say, you just cannot be the views! We're convinced we have one of the best apartments in the area.
For the sake of people reading this the building work next door (a) does not and has never affected the apartment (it has never been mentioned in any other feedback and (b) finishes at the end of December (2007) anyway. It's just a new section to the Aguamarina Hotel.
The bathroom is less than 3 years old. We are due to spend the month of December in the apartment and shall make any improvements to it that I feel necessary.
Hope to hear from you and your friends in the near future!

| "Fantastic apartment with unrivalled views, the photographs really did it justice. Recommend to bring own towels though. Plenty of sunbeds and pool area nice and clean. Resort of Golf del Sur is fantastic if you want to get away from it all. Don't be put off if your young either,my friend and I are both 25 and we had a fantastic time. There are a variety of good quality restaurants adjacent to Aguamarina and a good choice in San Blass as well. We will definitely be coming back!"

Whilst I am really pleased you enjoyed the apartment, I have no idea what you mean by "brutal" wind. As you know, I was in Tenerife for the exact week as you but stayed with friends about 500 metres away as you had booked my apartment. The temperature was about 80 degrees (this was October!) and for 5 days there was not a cloud in the sky. For one day, there was quite a strong breeze, so I can only assume this is what you are referring too.
This is the 2nd time you have used the apartment and I hope to see you again for a 3rd.

| "Wow! We viewed this apartment on the internet and arrived with slight trepidation - could the views really be that good...?
Well, if anything the photos don't do it justice! The apartment is immaculately kept and the views are just beautiful!!
Signs of recent redeocration which really helped give it a modern feel. How anyone could give this less than 4 or 5 stars I don't know!
Loved the pool area - sitting out around the pool was probably the most relaxed I've felt in years. Peace and tranquility and the only noise being the waves against the shore!
Loved the apartment, loved the complex, loved Golf Del Sur.

| "I have been in this appartment, with my family, in August 2007.
The appartment has a super-wonderfull view direct to the Ocean and at the 2 swimming pools, from the large balcony.
The pools have a lot of free sunbeds and is super cleaned each morning !
The kitchen was perfectly equiped.
The ventilation of the bathroom should be a litle bit improved.
Unfortunately there is no proper sand beach close, you have to drive to the closest resort.
Over the road there was a small supermarket, with very good prices. It was a pleasure to make quick necessary shopings for self-catering.
There should be mentioned that the building has a very large garage (on three levels, with a lot of free parking places !!!).
For people which want to visit the island I suggest to rent a car for at least a week (or two!) and to ask for a remote control for garage doors (for free !). We kept our rented car there and there were no parking problems.
For people comming for the first time in Tenerife I recommend to ask also, at renting this appt, the service "Meet and greet", so somebody comes to the airport with a car, with the keys of the appartement, picks you up and drives you directly to the appartement! And it costs quite the same as a normal taxi, but you save time and hassle, searching a taxi, thinking if the taxi driver doesn't cheet you, searching the keys, searching the place, the right entrance and so on! And he drives you also back to the airport, at the departure ! It's a very confortable service !
I suggest to Jon that he should include these options (free garage, meet and greet service) in the presentation of this lovely appartment.
I surely would recommend this appartement to my friends, and my wife says she would come any time with great pleasure back here."

"Having been going to this apartment for 3 years now it is still a lovely place but is now showing a few signs of wear and tear which in my oppinion could be overcome by just a little bit of extra care in the maintinance and cleaning, like pillow protectors as these were a bit smelly and also the frige freezer now in living room because of a washing machine, I personally think this is an item that will never get used.
Its nice to see the marina is on its way with development and the new coffee/ bar at the end is a lovely place to sit and relax."

Hi Linda,
Many thanks for your feedback. You are a valued return client to our apartment and tas you have been 3 years running, this must be testimony to how much you like it.
It is now just over 3 years old and although it is still in very good order, we had already decided we wanted to redocorate and buy some new linen / towels. However, bookings meant that there was not a gap to get the decorating done before your arrival so had to do the week after you departed. This is now done. I am sorry, we were not able to get it done for you.
We have also bought fresh linen / towels and added a few more touches to the apartment. We believe it is now back to it's 5 star rating.
The washing machine was installed as a response to previous feedback so it seems we can't win on that one. It meant moving the fridge freezer about 5 foot, just the other side of the breakfast bar which we did not think was an inconvenience at all. The other option was to do what other people have done in the complex and put the washer in the bathroom but that would never get passed health and safety!!
Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to the apartment next year.

"I think the apartment was average but would not describe it as "stunning" as in the description. The location however was most definitely stunning with fantastic views over the ocean and yes you can hear the waves lapping onto the shore from the balcony!.
The facilities nearby were also excellent with a wide choice of bars and restaurants within 100 yards,the coastal path just next to swimming pool made for re3laxing strolls into San Blas centre where there was good entertainment every night in the very attractive town square.
There were a couple of little annoyances i.e. one of the sun lounger chairs was broken and there was no bottle of wine on arrival(as in description) but I'm sure this was an oversight.
The directions given for getting there were spot on and the owners were very helpful and accommodating when I rang to ask if we could leave apartment later than the 10.30am deadline as our flight was not till 4.00pm.
Would I go back? .....Definitely!"

We use the word "stunning" as this has been quoted to us many times by previous clients.
It doesn't say anywhere that a bottle of wine is included in the welcome pack but if you want one next time then just let us know.

| "We stayed in Aquamarina appartment which was kindly given to us by one of our friends to use for week.Me my wife and doughter loved the location although we travelled around the ireland.It is a quite resoute.But if you miss the bussey life then you can get a taxi to Las americas or one of the near by resoutes.We got a car at the airport when we arrived therefore getting arround was very easy.Aquamarina apt is aprox 2 miles from the airport which is exallent.The apts are not in the fight path at all in fact they are at a distance.But i would be very carefull when booking else where as you might be having breakfast with a jumbo.This complex is right next to the beach.We hope they improve the beach area.I am sure it will get done.Loved it"

"Just home from holidaying in the apartment. Very nice & clean with a lovely balcony looking out to sea.Quiet, and we found everyone we spoke to ,to be friendly. We just wish we had known we needed a key fob to enter the garage.It would have been nice if we had been asked if we would be be arriving by hire car......As it was we had to take our chances on the spare ground car park opposite .We would not recommend this,and saw several cars had been damaged by careless drivers including our own. We would go back again provided we could park safely."

I appreciate your comments, however my email to you clearly outlined the underground car park was accessed by a remote control and that if you need this, to let me know! Even without letting prior warning, whilst you were there all you had to do was to call my management company and they would have been around straight away with the remote.
I am so glad that you had a fantastic time in the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed it's location. It's just a shame your review majored on your misunderstanding over the car park but I know from speaking to you that you found the view to die for and will be back next year. Thats proof enough of the lovely apartment it is.

| "Super apartment with all needs catered for. we stayed for a week and all I can say is pure relaxation just what the doc ordered after the christmas mayhem. We will most definitely go back the area is just so laid back and the restaurants in the immediate area are good value and of a high quality, the one in particular where we ate 3 nights of our stay was bistro 27 which is just a mins walk from the main entrance super food and service could not recommend enough. "The Aguamarina complex was excellent. Well maintained, secure and beautifully situated. We were disappointed that the access gate to the seafront was locked and you have to go all the way round the complex to get to the footpath at the front. The underground garage was a real boon but if you are hiring a car make sure you ask for a garage key when you make your booking.
The apartment was very pleasant .. not brand new as it is described on the website but bright and clean. The welcome pack was a bit limited for someone arriving hungry after midnight. There were howvere things like salt, pepper and washing-up liquid which we have found in very few other holiday properties. Kitchen well appointed and equipped but no egg cups!

The apartment is 2 yrs old. I am not sure when an apartment stops becoming new but I take your point and will remove that reference. I am sure you you agree that both the apartment still has a very new feel about it.
It is clearly set out on the website what the welcome pack entails. In the future all you need to tell us in advance that you will be arriving hungry late at night and we will arrange for some snacks to be left for you.
I am glad you felt the kitchen was well equipped. Unfortunately I am not an egg eater but if the egg cups really were a problem then all you needed to do was to tell us and I would have got some immediately over to you. (By the way the shop over the road sells them for 3 euros - £2!).
Once again I am really glad you had a lovely time and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

"The property was in an very good position within the complex, which is borne out well by the photographs and description. It was also well furnished with all mod cons. However, I wish it had mentioned that there was a washing machine, as I would not have brought as much luggage! The complex was kept extremely clean and the pool area was well maintained, although the pool itself was not what I would call heated!!
If anything, the surrounding area was underplayed in the description, and was better than we expected.

The advert for the apartment states there is a washing machine and has done since it was installed in Nov 2005.
The pool at Aguamarina is heated but as you visited in July when the temperatures are at it's heighest. the communty made a decison to switch off the heating for the month as people want to go in to cool down - not to warm up!

| "This the second time we have stayed at an apartment in this development in the last three months and this must say a lot for the apartments and the resort area in general, particularly if you want to get away from some of the more lively resorts and want peace and quiet as well as some great unrestricted sea views. Tenerife is a perfect destination for some late or early sunshine as we have discovered.
The view and the apartment are totally as described and on our first morning we were also treated to a view of a pod of dolphins swimming by! The development is immaculatly maintained and there is a small supermaket just over the road catering for most needs. The apartment owners have also thoughtfully provided a file containing a wealth of essential and useful information on local restaurants, taxis, shopping etc.
There are is a good choice of restaurants immediately below the apartment complex but these are so inobtrusive that you will only discover them by actually walking down to the coastal path, which then after a short walk leads you to a small shopping centre (San Blas) with a larger supermarket and yet more restaurants.
We have not stayed anywhere else in Tenerife before and having discovered Gulf de Sur and Aguamarina we will definitfy come again.
The airport 'Meet and Greet' service offered by OPM was once again prompt, efficient and extremely helpful. We also organised a car hire via OPM for part of our stay and when we arrived at the apartment a remote control had been provided which allowed us to access our own secure parking space below the complex therby avoiding any concerns over finding somewhere to park after a relaxing day.
We have also found that booking via villarenters is easy and efficient.
Highly recommended.

| "What a beautiful apartment and a fantastic location. We were met at the airport by the owners who showed us around the resort and showed us into the apartment.
To me they have bought the perfect spot in the complex - when the sun is lower and therefore less intense (approx Sept - May) it comes onto the balcony and is a perfect spot to sunbathe on.
When the sun is at it's hottest it rises high in the sky and therefore partly comes into the balcony (approx May - end Aug). During these times the pool is the best place to sunbathe but we were thankful that we could retire back to a cooler balcony for some restbite! This also means that whilst other people in the complex were complaining that they couldn't sleep because of the heat, we were able to keep very cool.
I would sincerely recommend this apartment and the local area to anyone."

| "Excellent property. very clean well looked after. We thought that the property must be almost new as it was in such good condition. Not one insect seen in apartment once. Pool was lovely, and not always packed which was a refreshing change. The whole building was very secure, and again very clean and modern.
Very close to the sea, and local amenities. Resort quiet, but lively resorts very close by for those who desire it.
Underground parking was very secure.
The description was very accurate.
Overall excellent value for money, and would definatley reccommend it."

| "Stunning location, wonderful views and beautiful apartment! Overseas Property Management (the company who look after the apartment on behalf of the owner)were really helpful. They met us at the airport and drove us to the apartment and were on hand when we needed advice. A first class holiday - we shall definitely be returning!"
