| "Local village is fine for basics if you ask around
Quite a twisty road to Loja, you get used to it.
Bit rough climb to the pool.
Very hot in June/July.
Overall good place to stay, Tack room fine for a couple, basic but no probs.

| "The property is about twenty minutes' drive from Loja and the autovia on a direct but twisting road up through the hills. When you get there, the views from the little patio out front are beautiful.
If you're getting up early to head for Cordoba or Seville, dawn over the valley is particularly lovely.
The property owner Nik, who lives a few minutes up the road, would be our nomination for the 2008 Most Affable Gent Awards - he's genial, helpful and funny.
Lastly, do wrap up warm if you're headed to Casa Caballos at this time of year (March) because the properties is fairly high up in the hills.
The Tack Room is equipped with a gas heater and a nice fireplace. Nevertheless, whilst you have to take the usual precautions against sunburn in the daytime, the nights still get pretty cold."

| "the property is in a quite secluded rural location
which is excatly what we wanted
the area is the real spain they dont speak much english and best of all theres no bingo,stuffed straw donkeys or kiss me quick hats or lager louts
good simple local bars and restuarants serving decent food at down to earth prices
my only complaint was that shower was a bit haphazard which nick has promised to sort

| "We (myself, wife and two young children), have just spent two fantastic weeks at Casa Caballos in The Tack Room (arrived home last night!).
Nik and Jacqui were perfect hosts - very friendly and helpful beyond the call of duty! Our children are missing their new friends already - Rosie and George, not to mention all the animals!
The room was exactly what we needed for our stay and was more than adequate. The pool and play area were perfect - particularly thoughtful towards those of us with small children.
It's a very quite and relaxing location. Having stayed in Ventorres de San Jose last year we vowed to come back this year, which we did, and we will certainly be staying at Casa Caballos again in coming years.
Nik and Jacqui, Rosie and George - we wish you all the best, and look forward to seeing you again!

"Dear Nik, Jackie, Rosie and George (and animals),
I just wanted to write and say thank you very much for making our stay really enjoyable and memorable. We all really enjoyed our time in the apartment and loved everything. Sorry we didn't get a chance to say goodbye properly, but I didn't think you'd really want to be woken up at 6.30am!!
Now in our hotel room in Valencia with a view of nothing as spectacular as the one from your place. Oh well, nex year...

"We just wanted to say what a good time we had on our honeymoon at the Tack Room.
There were some really lovely touches and you gave us lots of helpful advice
and quite a few laughs!!
