"Great little kooky cottage surrounded by olive groves.....what more do you want. We found it a perfect base to explore Basilicata for the two of us! Very clean, perfect for self catering, and local town had all amenities you needed. All for a great price. Enjoy"

"We had a brilliant time. The property was excellent and had lots of little extras that made the holiday , ie a welcome basket, maps, books, tea, coffee, sun lounger and the owner gave us as alot of information about the local area and places to visit, which was a great help. Every final detail made to make our holiday memorable. The beaches are beautiful., the scenery stunning and there are many little villages for exploring The property was set in a quiet area surrounded by olive trees and made for a very chill out time. The hip pool (a brilliant addition) was a well needed extra. I would certainly recommend anyone to go who needs to either just relax and chill out, or wants to spend time exploring the beautiful countryside and towns. PS: Take the option up of the sat nav which is provided at a fraction of the cost of the Car Hire Companies. Car is essential."

"We had a wonderful holiday at Casa Tranquillo. The property is just what we needed. Its been beautifully done up and has all the essential things you need. Its located just a short drive from the local town in a perfect peaceful location. A car is essential however, as is basic italian! The local town has some very nice restaurants which serve delicious pizzas at unbelievably low prices! The owners are ever so helpful. The welcome pack is great and has got some excellent ideas of truly lovely places to visit. A sat nav is also available to borrow which contains many of the sites recommended in the welcome pack already keyed in - an excellent idea! This property is definately value for money and would certainly recommend it, we had a fantastic time!"

"Our family had a wonderful time at Casa tranquillo. The property was beautiful and just perfect for the four of us, situated amongst countryside only 15mins from a totally deserted beach and 10 mins from wonderful food. The owners made us feel more than welcome and recommended plenty of places to visit and eat - the best pizza ever and friendly locals. The kids loved the plunge pool and local wildlife, while we sat and relaxed in the sun and quiet. We are all hoping to return again soon."

"Perfect for either a family vacation or a couples retreat. Nice secluded area but just minutes from the beaches and small towns. Dan was a great host and we will be staying with him again before we leave Italy. Highly reccommended for any type of vacation. We had a wonerful time. Thanks Dan!"

"Casa Tranquillo was an excellent base for exploring deepest Basilicata. Nestled amongst the olives and orange groves it is in a stunning and peaceful setting. Dan provided a warm welcome and has great advice about what not to miss locally if you ask. The accommodation is set up well with everything you need and is very comfortable. The surrounding area has so much to offer, especially Pollino National Park, Matera and Castelmezzano- make sure you get unlimited milage on the hire car!"

"Many thanks for a fantastic weeks holiday, the house was great. Well equipped and very well presented and if you are looking for somewhere to really get away from it all then this is it. As somebody else has said a car is a must if you are going to make the most of your holiday but if you’re after a very relaxing place to chill out, then this is the home for you. I must also say that Dan makes an excellent host and will provide all the information you need to make sure you make the very best of your holiday. Many thanks and looking forward to my next stay."

"Visited Casa Tranquilo 6th October to 13th. The setting was lovely, peaceful and surrounded by olive and orange groves. The house was very comfortable and had everything you could need. The local sites and the beach were close by as was the shopping. The weather was warm as was the welcome from the owners. My boyfriend and i felt very at home there. Will definately recommend it and hope to return soon. A car is a must."

"Just returned from 10 days at Casa Tranquilo and would definitely recommend. Hidden in amongst olive grove and orange trees you really are away from it all. The owners were very helpful and were there to welcome us and show us how everything worked. A nice touch was the welcome pack which included a couple of beers, wine bread, cheese and pasta, although shops were just 10 mins drive away. The house is very well equipped and nicely furnished. With the recent addition of a plunge pool, perfect for when the sun gets a little too hot, also loungers and an umbrella on the shaded area. Quiet beaches just 15 mins drive away and perfect for the little ones as the sea is quite shallow. A perfect location to get away from it all, or explore the local area and meet the very friendly locals. Car essential!"
