"A great place to stay for the feel of the authentic city. Within walking distance of all the 'must do' things in the city.... a few steps from the Giardino Giusti! There's a very reasonably priced supermarket across the street, plus a lovely bread shop and a delightful little cafe for breakfast and lunch - everything you need for a self-catering trip to Verona. Davide is very helpful and caring about his guests - a true ambassador of Italian hospitality.
It was nice to stay in an typical appartement in Italy, instead of a hotel, where you donīt really see the "everyday life" of the country you are visiting. The little balcony to the backyard was so cute. Davide was really nice, helpful and allthough and represents very well the hospitality of his country.
Cleanliness and quietness of the apartment and friendliness of the owner. Acceptable distance from the centre. Self-catering possibilities are excellent, which includes the availability of small supermarkets, bakeries, etc. nearby."

| "We stayed in the 3rd floor flat.This property is a total con. From our arrival the owner seemed completely unprepared for us, not even clear as to whether we had paid. He kept us waiting for a good 20 mins after a long journey. He then required a deposit of 50 euros which hadnt been mentioned. Id paid the breakage waiver so hadnt expected to pay a further deposit. The apartment was hot and noisy and poorly-equipped. Stupidly, I had not brought the details with me so wasnt 100% certain of what was and wasnt specified.
There was no relevant info re shops/buses. He incorrectly informed us that everwhere would be closed the next day (wed arrived at 5pm) so we had a panic to find some food. The fridge was faulty. So we had to survive in temperatures of 32C without chilled food. The air conditioning didnt have a remote control. To operate it I had to climb on furniture. I rather had the impression that I wasnt meant to operate it. It was located in the bedroom, so the rest of the apartment didnt benefit from it anyway. The street was noisy throughout the day and night. The flat is located opposite a supermarket parking/loading area with deliveries being made during the night. Impossible to get a good nights sleep. THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS PROPERTY AS BEING IN A QUIET AREA IS A COMPLETE LIE.
Little consideration had been given to providing everyday items which make a place comfortable. eg there was no radio/cd player, no wine galsses, no bread knife or chopping board(I couldnt even slice the bread Id bought from the bakers opposite). I could go on but these may have been tolerated were it not for the noise and the lack of properly functioning air-conditioning.
I should have complained but Id taken my mother to verona as a special birthday present and did not want to spend the whole time trying to deal with an incompetent, uninterested owner. Had I taken the details with me, I most certainly would have demanded my money back there and then.
To cap it all on the day of departure the owner arrived half an hour late. He assured us hed said 10.30 when hed really said 10am. Looking at the details now it clearly states check-out time of 10.00. Fortunately we hadnt booked a cab or didnt have to rush for our flight.
I would not recommend this property to anyone."
