"We have just returned from a well earned rest at Cortijo La Pura and are happy to give our recommendation . The location is great, the views reach down to the sea & coast, but nestled in the mountains it is actually incredibly unspoilt and peaceful.
The house is very spacious, well laid out and equipped and we had a really relaxing week. We were also lucky to enjoy beautiful weather throughout our stay with warm sunshine, now we are back in the clouds and rain, but it helped to make our winter seem shorter. We hope to go again with more of the family.

"The manager of the Cortijo asked us if, subject to our satisfaction we would write a review of our stay, so here goes.
We had a great week, it was late October, we had warm sunshine everyday and the house was both very spacious and very well equipped, including a computer to keep in touch with friends back home. We spent our time lounging around the pool, enjoyed the odd bar b que and visited the local villages. We could see the coast from the balconies, but chose to enjoy our time close to home. Our only regret the week passed so quickly!

| "A beautiful House tucked away in the mountain, half way between Casarabonela and Alozaina. The views were spectacular and the Pool and garden was a perfect place to relax and unwind.
The house is very spacious and has every thing a family might need , washing machine, dishwasher,cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, Internet access, T.V. and Video.
The owner is very accommodating and likes to help with any problems you may encounter. He has a great knowledge of the area and will point you in the right direction for places of interest (no need for GPS ). The Information Pack and details of both Casarabonela and Alozaina were true and accurate, and when it was time for us to go home we knew that you will be revisiting this Beautiful Place again soon.

"We rented the Cortijo for a long weekend and it was just what we were looking for, a break from both the city and our busy lives. It is in a beautiful location, nestled into the mountain range back from the coast and not too remote. It took us only 35 mins to drive up from Malaga. We needed a break and a chance to chill out and that is exactly what we got. The Cortijo is great for relaxing and we were pleased with both the standard of the accommodation and the facilities and had to resist the temptation to use the computer during our stay. We found our stay good value for money and are happy to give our recommendation.We will try to stay up there again in the new year.

| "From the moment we arrived we started unwinding and spent 10 idyllic days in total tranquility. We watched sunrises amd sunsets from the balcony, chilled by the pool and soaked in the Andalucian white villages - what more could you ask for? The children swam, watched DVDs and played on the computer, and most importantly, gave us some peace - we truly relaxed and consider it our perfect retreat!
The pool was warm, the views breathtaking, the dining room magnificent and the kitchen dreamy. The master bedroom was incredibly spacious and beckoning! All in all the accomodation was wonderful.
The owner was very responsive when we couldnt quite work out work how to switch the cooker on and the agent even came to help us out on a Sunday when a minor emergency required. We will return whenever we can."

| "This is a beautiful house in a stunning location. The description provided by the owner was accurate in every way and we were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation. The house is very well stocked and we found the presence of a dishwasher, washing machine, computer with internet, extensive range of books, bbq, and private swimming pool a real bonus.
The property owner and the manager were always very helpful.

"Well we were looking to recharge the batteries and step out of our routine and the Cortijo was quite a find. It was up a track in a spectacular valley and we arrived just as the sun was setting behind the mountains.
The views across the countyside to the coast were quite something, we could even see Malaga and the sea beyond.
We spent the first few days relaxing and unwinding. The pool was warm, though if the wind gets up you will need to net the leaves out! The lake was a nice touch and full of fishes and frogs! The house was huge and comfortable and the kichen was well equiped
We visited the two closest villages, Casarabonela and Alozaina and they were quite an experience. I guess this is what is termed the "Real Spain"
We will be back.
