""Paradise on the Island of Hvar!"
My family and I were lucky enough to rent this gorgeous vacation home on the island of Hvar for three weeks. The accomodations were perfect in every way...comfy beds, great showers and all the comforts of home in a traditional stone house. The patio and bbq were wonderful for entertaining too. Rupert and Katia were a wealth of information about the island and catered to our every wish. I would recommend this rental to all my family and friends and plan on staying there again on my next trip to the island."

""WOW! What a fantastic place!"
When we booked our stay as only the second group of guests to enjoy the accommodation we had a pretty good idea it would be a very comfortable and well designed house as we knew the very professional and attentive owners from previous visits to this most exquisite of islands. The house has been finished to a superb standard and the fittings and materials used reflect this. The hosts have thought of everything with all modern appliances included and even air conditioning installed. The barbecue area with it cold water shower is great for sunbathing/entertaining and the views from there and from the first floor terrace are breathtaking specially when the sun goes down. It is also so well placed for access into the town square and harbour with their range of interesting shops,galleries and of course restaurants abd bars. We will certainly be going back again and again!"

| "We had a fabulous week at this beautiful well equipped house in an ideal location in central Hvar Town. All the facilities and equipment you could possibly need and even things you didn't realise you would, made our stay so relaxing and comfortable. It felt like the home we wished we had all year round. We enjoyed some great bbqs in the beautiful outdoor area and some long warm evenings drinking on the outdoor terrace overlooking a fantastic view. It was the holiday we had hoped for and would not hesitate to return there again one day. Many thanks to Rupert and Katia!"

"After tackling the steps leading to 'Lavender Heights' we were absolutely delighted with this beautiful holiday home. Rupert Dawney has left no detail unfinished or forgotten in this house - it has everything you need to make the most of the beautiful Croatian sun and sights (the view is amazing) and also for entertainment should the weather turn on you - including TV, DVDs, internet, board games, books (although we were lucky with the weather!) The house was spotlessly clean on our arrival and cared for to the highest standard. It is also located very centrally, so that within minutes you are in the main hub of Hvar, near the restaurants, bars, marina and supermarkets. It is however, far enough from the centre of Hvar Town to be a very peaceful and private spot. My friends and I had a wonderful holiday in Hvar, which was made all the more special by the beautiful house we stayed in. We can't recommend Hvar and 'Lavender Heights' enough, although it is worth mentioning that there are a lot of steps in and around Hvar, which some people might struggle with. You will have a brilliant time if you go to Hvar and stay here. We would definitely go back!

"Having no idea what to expect from Hvar or the house we were all bowled over. Rupert was great, always replied to emails promptly and at the end of the phone whilst we were there. The house itself is just lovely the en-suites in both rooms made it really private on each level, the view from the top balcony was stunning. Having the bbq area was a great bonus although a little more lighting would have prevented our slightly undercooked chicken! The house is really close to the centre although be warned there are steps to walk up and down pretty much everywhere above the central port area. The double glazing keeps the evening music at bay and the air con is a relief in August. We will definitely be back again.

| "We were greated on arrival by the owner who after helping us with our bags took us into Hvar town and directed us to the supermarkets, good restaurants/bars and tourist attractions. The house itself was very well equipped with everything you could need and had clearly been lovingly refurbished. The best part was the upper balcony with amazing sea views, great for pre dinner drinks and watching the sun set. Both of the bedrooms had on suites and were beautifully presented with lovely personal touches. The house is really well situated, just five minutes walk to the main square yet is still in a very peaceful location in spite of being so close to the town. There is a small local beach five minutes walk away, good for swimming, although we tended to relax in the garden instead which is peaceful, well kept and had an outdoor BBQ. There are a number of steps leading up to the house, as with most of the properties in Hvar, but they were quite manageable, and even welcome after dinner! We had an amazing holiday in Hvar and this was made even more special by our stay at Lavender Heights, we couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay!"
