| "El Cherqui is wonderful!!! Completley off the beaten path and divine. The house is kitted out with all that you will need but the solar power does run out quite early if it has been overcast that day.... but who cares candlelight is romantic! I would recommened a sturdy car as the house is "OFF road". It takes about 25 mins to drive to Essaoira and It really was lovely to leave the town and head back to the country and enjoy the remote roof terrace at sunset with panoramic views. The decor is stylish and and the house is so welcoming. I will be going back as soon as I can! Take candels and adapters with you and ENJOY!"

| "The house is absolutely beautiful and so unusual. It isn't in the town and therefore lovely and peaceful with the most amazing views of the surrounding areas.
The local contacts are also extremely friendly and helpful and made our holiday even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

| "If you are looking for a beautiful relaxed place to stay then look no further. We fell in love with the villa and it was so hard to leave knowing we were coming back to the rat race of London. The villa is stunning and very well kitted out. The surrounding area is beautiful. I would recommend the villa to anyone."

| "We had a lovely time at the house, however terrible weather ( constant rain) did spoil it a bit, but eveyone has been very good Peter the owner, Nancy the contact in Essaouira and Meloud the guardian.Also unless you have a very fast car, its around 25mins to the beach.but its an interesting drive."

| "El Cherqui is just an amazing unique property for those who have a sense of adventure. Literally off the beaten track, it feels a million miles from the tourist hordes. A panoramic roof terrace allows you to enjoy the sun and scenery in absolute privacy, while the beautifully "art directed" rustic decor of the house makes one feel that they have stepped into a interior design magazine (and of course it has been featured in several publications.)
Nancy (local contact) and Maloude (the guardian) made the experience even more amazing, showing a side to Moroccan life away from the Lonely Planets and Rough Guides. Brilliant

| "El Cherqui is a unique property. Its secluded location and charm provides a haven in which you can relax and forget the stresses of everyday life. El Cherqui spills over with character, bringing its history and natural surroundings together with sumptuous design and comfort in a fantastic living space. From its solar powered lighting to its open fire (which was excellent given the snowy winter weather!) El Cherqui blends the best of modern development with back to basics living.
We also have to thank the people who help make El Cherqui such a special property, Nancy (the local contact) who gave her time to show us the local area and share the history of the property with us and Maloude (the custodian) who ensured that we were warm and secure each night!"
