"I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. It is down this small road just far enough to be away from traffic and noise yet close enough to Kilkenny to take a short trip in. I had a plan while i was there to propose to my girlfriend by planting a tree where i popped the question to commemorate the occasion. I could not find anywhere to do this in Ireland. I talked to the owners of the villa and they said i could do it in their back yard! They even got the tree set up for me while we were away. They were courteous and the place was clean and well taken care of. There is an old church just a walk down from the property and plenty of fresh air and privacy. We were treated like family and they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Thanks guys! Anyone who is looking for a nice quiet "base camp" to call home while traveling in Ireland should stay here, its the decision we made."

"My partner and I stayed in this cottage from 25th July til 2nd August 2008. Words cannot describe what a lovely cottage this is. Previous reviews are right - the photos of this cottage most certainly dont do it enough justice! The cottage is just wonderful, with everything in it that you need and more - including board games, some c.ds and dvds, crockery, high visibility vests for jogs and strolls down the country side, local information leaflets, a folder with everything about the cottage in it, a guest book and cleaning products. There isnt a single item that we needed that wasnt available in the cottage. The cottage was absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway for two, but would suit four people just as comfortably too. The owners where very, very helpful and left some basic food items for us on arrival. They provided us with some very easy directions to the cottage and assured us that if we needed anything all we needed to do was ask! They were great! The cottage is in immaculate condition and it was very sad leaving. The week flew so quickly. The cottage has a lovely garden with an outside table and chairs, perfect for summer BBQs if you purchase a disposable BBQ from one of the local shops. The cottage is approximately a 10-15 minute drive outside Kilkenny city which has a number of things to do including restaurants, Kilkenny cas tle, tour buses, department stores, a shopping centre, many clothing stores, pubs, nightlife and a wonderful traditional Irish show with Irish music and dancing in the Langton House Hotel shown every Tuesday evening called An Emigran ts Tale. At only 10 euro entry the show was fantastic and wed definitely recommend it. For going into Kilkenny City, the taxi service is excellent and the availability of them is superb! The cottage is about 3 miles outside a few smaller towns which have a few shops, petrol stations, pubs etc. Overall, we couldnt rate this cottage higher! We recommend ANYONE who is considering staying here to go for it"

"Having found this cottage on the internet , the pictures do not do it any justice . The cottage is very light ( due to the sky lights ) it is in a very rural and peaceful area with only a few cars and tractors passing by !We had everything we required in the cottage . The shower however is not powerful and we were a bit dissapointed by this . The surrounding area is beautiful and very close to Kilkenny and makes a perfect stay for touring around the south east . If you want a holiday where you can close the door and have peace and quiet or touring and site seeing this is the ideal location . We will certainly visit it again , hopefully soon . The owner made us very welcome and left basic food items and fresh flowers within the cottage which was a very nice touch ."

"We were obviously expected: there were fresh flowers on the table and basic provisions in the fridge and we received a genuinely warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and we even received further information from them after our return home in answer to question we had about settling in ireland. This was an excellent base from which to prospect for houses, which was our aim."

"A lovely cottage- bright, clean, beautifully decorated- with the quaintness of old coupled with modern conveniences. A wonderful location near many sites."

"It was extremely hard to find, requires a name on the gate, otherwise it was a very basic, pleasant place to stay and comfortable."

"The cottage is beautifully maintained and in an ideal setting for a nice, quiet, relaxing break for two. It is in a perfect location for touring around the south of Ireland aswell as having most of the amenities you could require a short drive away. The owners were incredibly friendly, with the little maual inside the cottage giving helpful hints as to where the best places to visit were! We would thoroughly recommend the cottage as a wonderful place to stay when visiting Ireland."

"This cottage is beautiful, very clean and tidy and the photos on this site do not do the cottage justice, it is light and airy. Excellent location for touring Ireland. It is in a great location, quiet, peaceful and ideal for a relaxing holiday or just to get away. Would highly recommend this cottage and we will definately be returning. The owners were very welcoming and made sure that we had everything in the cottage we required."

"I would find it difficult to imagine a more perfect holiday cottage. The description and photos don't do it justice and the ownwers couldn't have been more helpful. This has been a truly memorable holiday."

"We loved this cottage and will definitely return the next time that we are in Ireland. It met all our basic requirements and all of the added little touches went a long way to make us feel at home. The location is ideal for touring the local countryside and for visiting sites like the Rock of Cashel and Kilkenny castle. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Their cottage and nearby home is set up for the perfect balance of privacy and socialiizing. We had a wonderful time. "

"This was such a great spot ! - it was near everything - Golf, Shopping, mountains, the sea and Kilkenny but down a sweet country lane that we felt a million miles away I would recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing place to stay and see all of Ireland - its near enough highways to be able to see all of the southcoast, and southwest. We also loved having our own kitchen and place to relax with the kids. The photos dont do it enough justice, its very bright cottage with wonderful stone and the owners are so friendly but you have your own private patio and parking so you have your own space. The main house is from the 18th century and they will also consider letting that out for bigger parties Again - it was so nice to stay in a place that actually saved us money but we felt like we were actually seeing the real ireland - and with the extra money I bought myself some new waterford pieces ! Again would highly recommend this place to anyone"
