| "Property lovely - only drawback was no sun or outside chairs/table in small garden...
Resort in which villa housed was rather end-of-seasonish (probably because Ramadan...) and so no restaurant (just snack bar with very average food) available, and generally a rather closed up feel. But everyone friendly and helpful when questioned.
Walk to beach and/or Datca quite long!"

| "This villa was quiet, large, cool and beautifully furnished and equipped with two large on suite bathrooms with shower areas. Abundant towels are provided. The curtains in the bedrooms let in alot of light which could be a problem with young children. The villa complex is set in a wonderful safe walled garden area so children can roam around freely. The garden is good for relaxing in. The pool area is clean and spacious and the management team are friendly but not intrusive but certainly look after your every needs. Datca beach (the sand) is quite scrubby and not ideal for long days on the beach, but the sea is clean and lovely for swimming. There are restaurants on the beach itself and on the harbour and the beach and low key Turkish resort life is fantastic including the food. There are no hideous Karaoke bars. Although walks around the area from the villa are stunningly beautiful they are quite hard work and walking in to Datca actually takes at least 20 minutes and children might find this hard in the heat. To get the best of the area it is worth hiring a car. There are so many local beaches and coves and things to see, it is worth it. We would definitely return."

| "I stayed at the villa in high summer 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The villa itself is cool, spacious and well equipped and I especially liked the spacious shower cubicles. The kitchen/diner is also a good size and the fact that the whole of the downstairs is open-plan makes it more sociable if a number of people get together for dinner.
The Marphe complex is very attractively laid out with big earthenware pots and colourful flowers adding charm to the main walkways. The pool is a decent size and is flanked by a bar/restaurant serving tasty food. Importantly if, like me, you had no Turkish, the owners are friendly, helpful and speak good English.
Moving away from the complex, the town of Datca is unpretentious and suitably laid-back for a holiday destination, with several low-key cafe/restaurants serving very yummy food at wonderfully low prices. The harbour area is attractive, and usually buzzy in the evenings, and if you don't want to walk back to the complex, the regular minibus service is very reliable in the daytime, and taxis good value in the evenings.
Altogether, a most relaxing and enjoyable holiday experience, blessed by a lovely dry heat and welcome sea breezes."

| "We enjoyed a 2 weeks holiday at the Hotel Marphe complex, sited just outside the town of Datca. Our Villa was very comfortable, with plenty of space, and a small garden with table and chairs. The complex has a swimming pool and adjacent dining facilities. The owners and staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The town of Datca has many eating places and good bus services, though taxis are cheap and plentiful. Boat trips and ferries can be booked at an office nearby the marina. There is a very good market each Saturday, and our experience of the people of Datca was that they are the most helpful people we have met on holidays abroad, even volunteering to show us how to use phone card phones. There are beaches in Datca and in a number of small villages scattered along the peninsular, and these are accessible by car. The area seems unspoilt, though there is some nightlife in and around the harbour during high season. However after settling in we found the whole experience to be relaxing and stress free."

"We spent two weeks here with friends in Sept/Oct and the weather was splendid. We enjoyed walking into town most days and visiting the local restaurants. Local amenities were good. We used the public transport system which was very flexible - we just flagged buses down on the road side. One impressive, smooth trip we had, was catching the ferry to Bodrum. The resort owners and staff couldn'd do enough for us which added so much to our holiday. Although we were independent, we still had the facilities of the resort to use when we required. As we are retired we hope to return for a month early in 2005!

"We so enjoyed our two weeks spent at your villa and at the resort. The resort-owners were so friendly, the surroundings so beautiful and the villa so pretty. We walked into Datca most days as we so enjoyed wandering the streets and eating at the local restaurants. Lots of shopping trips to Migros Supermarket too! As we are retired we hope to return for a longer period next year. Thank you.
