"The apartment was very poor compared to others on the Golden View complex.
For example there was no air conditioning for the entire 4 week period of our stay and no action was taken by the owners to rectify this during our stay or explain what action was going to be taken
.
The TV in the lounge did not work and again no action was taken by the owners to rectify this during our stay. There was a TV in the bedroom but this only had an indoor ariel and as a result could only pick up one station which was a very poor picture.
The cleaner collected the bedding and towels on his first visit and then used the on-site laundry to wash these and other items we hadnt used and then left them all hung, wet, on our balcony to dry. This meant we couldnt use the balcony and had to iron and put away the laundry. We arranged to do our own cleaning and laundry after this episode as it seemed the simplest option.
The apartment was extremely cluttered with the owners belongings, excessive bedding, and ornaments.
Fortunately we spent most of our time out and didnt let the apartment spoil our holiday. The Golden View complex is excellent and very conveneient for the supermarket, local restaurants, and the beach.
In summary recommend the resort but not the apartment."

I am sorry my apt was not to your standards.I only find out my A.c was not working in jan when u arrived ,i was in barbados in september and all was working.due to the hurricane season my cable box was broken and only find out in feb when a customer call me in the uk and i fixed right away.The tv in the bedroom is for kids to watch videos.the staff at reception is there to help u if u have any complains.i am sorry about the maid and his cleaning,but my agent at reception said u only told her u dont want the cleaner to come but no explanation.I tried to upgrade my apt every year and please my costumers ,excessive bedding is there incase off and emergency and u need new and clean ones.And sorry again about all

"The complex is lovely and have stayed there twice before and would recommend it,but i would not recommend this particular apartment to my worst enemy!
The air conditioning did not work and i made enquires and established it had not been working for at least a month previously and apparently needs replacing.
There was no cable TV and the only way i could get it, was waste 2 days of my holiday, visiting the company to get a replacement box, but that was only after i had to phone the owner in the UK, for them to pay the unpaid bill.
The contact at the apartments did not want to have anything to do with the air conditioning, or get the cable fixed, she only arranged to have the bill paid, but took nearly a week to do so, after considerable chasing.
The cleaner visited twice and did a good job, (although for some reason he kept moving my rum from the freezer to the fridge, not really sure why he was even in the fridge!)
The apartment needs completly refurbishing, not very comfortable sitting on a concrete sofa! Needs a bedside light in the bedroom, the red light on the balcony, makes it impossible to sit out in the evening reading a book. The kettle on average took 15mins to boil, i think a new one is required,the majority of the kitchen utensils were grubby/rusty, the cupboards all smelt musky. The first set of sheets on the bed did not fit. The sink in the bathroom was corroded, the shower head would not stay up and was all corroded and dripping, the toilet seat was wobbly and wonky. The emergency contact number listed in the apartment was unobtainable, apparently the contact has moved and not willing to give her number. TV in bedroom, just took up room, only one local channel and the video tapes were very old and unplayable (ex-rental childrens).
I could still go on, but all i will say is making enquires at the complex, nobody re-rents this apartment. It is not as described and certainly NOT luxury."

I am sorry u feel this way about my apt at goldenview ,but i get good reviews from many people,i lived in the uk and have reception at golden view taking care of my apt like any other who live abroad.and i am sorry to say that the apts in golden view does not have as much as mines for there rentals.i am sorry about the cable but when the huricane the box was off.my agent should have done more.And thanks for calling me because i had no idea my cable was off.i was in barbados to the end of september ..so i cant see much changing in 6 months.and if u did not like the red lights it was easy to asked the maid to change them .Another point my apt has 3 fans if the A.c was not working.And u offer to take the box to the cable people when my agent was going to.I tried to pls my customers but i dont know what more i can do.i upgrade my apt every year.but i can only pls so many people..the tv in the room is for the kids to watch videos.when the maid cleans he cleans everything including the fridge ,and things can get broken in the freezer,that is why he took it out.but overall u had a good stayed and i am happy to hear this.i am sorry again u did not like our enjoyed my apt

"very clean and convenient for shops and beach.
found male cleaner lying on the bed when I arrived. Not too happy about that. He was quite intrusive as he came every four days and took about four hours to clean a one bed apartment!
Property was very clearly someones home and was full of personal belongings. The idiots cork screw was broken and the only other was one from the dark ages. Needed a measuring jug and collander but other than that the kitchen was very well equipped. Would only recommend a maximum of 2 people as the only bathroom and toilet was en-suite.
overall a nice place but a bit expensive for a basic rental."

I am very sorry to hear that you find maid in bed .but he has been working for me for 10 years and he said you are lying .when you open the door he was just finish cleaning washroom. And your male friend asked him what he was doing in there and he replied he is the maid.He spend 2 hours the most to clean the villa and you saw pictures of my villa before you rented it which you got discount.most villas belongs to someone.If you wanted a cork screw you could have asked reception.Reception is very helpful and in my villa it has the number for cherl springer who also works at reception.Or you could have mention it to the maid .I tried to please my customers ,And i tried to update my stuff every year so my customers is happy. Sorry about your stay. from owner

| "This is a well presented property ideally suited to two people. The kitchen was vey well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, a full size oven and hob and a microwave so self catering is very easy. It is situated in a quiet location though only a short walk from the shops, resturants and beach. However there is a lot of insect noise from outside during the night. The air conditioning works well and there are also a couple of fans so keeping cool was not a problem. The property was clean and tidy on our arrival and was cleaned once more during our nine day stay.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the pool is of a good size with plenty of loungers and chairs. The grounds are well maintained.
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet base for exploring the island or just sitting back and doing nothing."

| "I have been booking apartments and villas independently for about thirty years and I rate this one as one of the very best. Location, quality, price, and particularly the excellently equipped kitchen, made this a delight. It is immaculately cleaned twice weekly by a relative of the owners. The pool is huge, the gardens are lovely, and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. Congratulations!!!"
