"Thank you so much for letting us rent your villa on 1/9/09-8/9/09. We have never gone for a villa in the past only because we thought it would be far too much hassle. But after booking this one we DO NOT want to go back to package holidays. The villa was immaculate, it had everything you could possibly ask for it was so equip for a holiday in the sun. Fortunutely we had over 30degrees heat everyday so the swimming pool was amazing we only went to the beach once as we didnt want to leave the pool. I would recommend this villa to family, friends, work collegues, everyone i know as I feel this was good value for money, And am already thinking about booking up again for next year. We did hire a car and did drive around which was good as we visited quite a few different places. The supermarket was near by so you could get all fresh produce which we did and used the BBQ nearly every night. Thanks again Donna & Craig."

"Just returned from an excellent stay at this beautifully kept villa,we had a lovely time and were very impressed with the facilities. It was good to have things like washing up liquid and dish clothes provided and the welcome basket was greatly received, only thing missing was a dishwasher! otherwise everything was supplied. The managers are a lovely, friendly couple who went out of their way to help make our stay a good one.
We didnt hire a car but found an excellent local taxi service, Terrys taxis.
The area was very quiet and peaceful, we seemed to be the only people walking anywhere!
A lovely villa and great base.

"This was a holiday that we dont normally do staying in a private villa but as there was 5 of us we thought the value for money was by far excellent there was nothing that you could possibly ask for all the villa was decorated to top perfection, the grounds were kept beutifull. And as I have a little boy we cooked in every night and i do not think there was 1 kitchen utencil you couldnt find it was a amazing holiday would def go back but next time in august when weather is nicer as had a whole week of rain but my little boy still managed to swim in the pool which was cold but clean. Thank you very much for letting us rent your villa donna xx"

"We first went to this villa in June and were really pleseantly suprised when we arrived, the pictures posted really do not do it justice in the slightest.
It is spacious and very well equipped and located close enough to the supermarkets and bars etc and far enough from the usual crouds when on Holiday. The area is very quiet which was exactly what we were looking for considering we live in the centre of London and tend to lead manic lives.
The pool was excellent and we made good use of all the inflatables etc in the shed.
The kitchen came with everything we required in order to survive for the week.
The Villa was very clean and tidy as well as spacious on a really good plot of land. I really couldnt reccomend it highly enough.
Two small points howver were that being young people we use the Internet quite alot and were a little disappointed to discover there was nothing to facilitate this, it is useful when checking in for flights and looking at the weather etc, and also on our second visit in September we accidently (and stupidly) left the keys on the inside of the door (which we hear happens often). We tried to call the keyholders and left them numerous messages when eventually we were got back to four hours later which left us slightly disappointed.
However the good by far outweighed the bad and I would very much look foward to returning again for a 3rd Visit.

First we would like thank you for returning to our property for a second time and so quickly. I have to agree its nice to get away to somewhere quiet after the London madness. We take all points mentioned into consideration and try to rectify where needed. The key situation could be rectified very easily. There is a large brass latch on the door to prevent this which people for some reason do not seem to use but its there. The Internet is something we will consider in the near future, as we are in need of this frequently for business ourselves. We will need to look into costs as we certainly dont want to end up with huge bills.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous villa. It was clean and very well equipped, a real home from home. We all (the kids in particular) loved having a private pool and spent hours and hours in it.
Lyn and Ian were a great help and Paul the Pool Man proved invaluable in terms of recommending places to eat. Many thanks to all of them.
We would have liked a few more leaflets in the Information Pack about things to do in the area, although the information on the summary page on this website was very informative.
We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this villa to our friends and family and will certainly consider a return visit at some point in the future.

"Hi. well I am back home after the best holiday I have ever had, the villa was beautiful, it had everything for our own use down to washing up liquid, washing powder etc, all the bothersome things you have to buy for self catering and then only use a little of, we had the use of all the pool equipment, sun loungers etc. I cant swim and hate the water but I was in the pool 2-3 times every day. I relaxed and dozed in my corner of the patio every day, our kids, 17,16,15 and 12 loved it and never wanted to go anywhere, just to stay in the villa. I knew as soon as we arrived, stressed from the 1st time driving a left hand drive and found Lyn with the kettle on, (cos she said I sounded Irish and stressed on the phone) that we had come to the right place. It was immaculate and comfortable . description did not do it justice. We loved the town and I would also like to mention and recommend Victoria 11, chinese rest. that was excellent and exeptional value near the villa with the nicest staff. We ate there 3 nights and 1 takeaway, Watch this space WE WILL BE BACK . thank you Donna Craig Lyn and Ian. enjoy your own holiday

Well what can we say. That has got to be by far, the most glittering review we have ever had. It is simply a joy to rent our property out to families like yourselves who appreciate all the hard work, that goes into keeping this standard up. To be honest we have never thought about mentioning that we supply all washing up liquids etc, its just something that we feel should be there as part of the package, and as you say the bothersome things. Who wants to go on holiday to shop for Washing up liquid.
You are more than welcome to return at any time with your family. We will pass your review onto Lyn & Ian as well. We have certainley found a couple of GEMS when it comes to Lyn & Ian. And yes we can't wait for our turn.

"Exellent stay, would recommend this villa to anyone but especially familys wanting a relaxing holiday. We got to the villa and it was immaculate. There are a lot of nice restaurants and bars around as well as plenty of shops but use of a car is definately recommended. Villa is stunning with everything you could need, very comfortable. The pool is fantastic and there are pool toys / inflatables available to use. There are also 6 fantastic sun loungers provided. The caretakers and gardeners are lovely too. Just one thing that could have been improved was the fact that the pool man only came once during our 2 week stay and halfway through the second week, the water got a bit cloudy and dirty. Other than that, everyone in our party loved everything about the holiday and would definately recommend it!! Thank You"

We are very pleased you had a fantastic time. The pool is always cleaned before next guests arrive, so the 1st time around you would have not seen him, and normally before anyone is up he would have cleaned so as not to disturb you to much. We apologise if it became a bit dirty your second week, but a combination of dust, sand and sun tan lotions can be a lethal combination and would always suggest constance use of the outside shower. We would say to all future guests, any problems please give him a call and he would certainly oblige you with a further clean, although we would certainly expect the relevant cleaning regime. We will however, speak to him about this. Thank you for letting us know.

"The villa was beautiful. Dont think the description did it justice! We had everything we needed. It was definitely value for money. We were well looked after during our stay. The meet and great people were really helpful. They even looked after our suitcases in their apartment on our last day.
La Marina is a lovely place. The only thing we would recommend is a car. Its essential in this area as the supermarket, beach, water park etc is not in walking distance.
We would definitely return and use the same villa. All in all it was a very enjoyable holiday xx

"The Villa is extremely well appointed and has everything you need for a holiday. The villa has a great pool and is located on the edge of La Marina so is nice and quiet. The Villa is located about 15 min uphill walk away from the main bar/restaurants and 10 mins walk from the supermarket area so you will really need a car. I can highly recommend this villa and we were well looked after by Ian for the very few problems we had (including locking ourselves out!!). We will certainly try to use this villa again."

"i am still waiting for a part of my deposit to be returned, they said they are keeping £200 of it due to it being left messy, although we thoroughly cleaned the villa perectly before leaving. i am still owed £150 according to the villa owners which is better than nothing but have received nothing"

Sadly these last guests thought it was there duty to get so drunk that destruction of our property commenced. We were alerted early Saturday morning that sunbeds we all thrown in the pool, brooms, mops buckets were all thrown broken in the pool, they ripped my sundial off the wall smashed it up and threw it in the pool. sick on the bedlinen,make up all over the main bed, rubbish left,old food left in fridge, toiletries left everywhere. we are in fact out of pocket as we had to take an emergency flight over as managment were very concerned. These people have been spoken to and have agreed to the removal of their security deposit. We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour.

"We were astonished when we arrived at the villa, the pictures don't do it justice! It had everything we needed, and was so close to the beaches, neighbouring towns and bars that we felt incredibly spolied. I would definately recommend a hire car for ease of sightseeing. The villa isn't in the middle of the urbanisation but it is among some of the nicest ones we saw there and is a big part of it's appeal. The pool is a really good size and we spent the majority of our time lying around it and in it! We were able to visit the neigbouring beaches, the local markets, Guadamar, Elche (for air conditioned shopping), Torrevieja, Alicante and Benidorm with very little fuss. The supermarkets are really close by and great value for money (especially the wine!).
Jackie and her husband,the gardener and the pool guy were an excellent source of information, it definately pays to ask!
We managed to get a parking ticket on our last day but the police were very friendly. I wouldn't advise parking alongside the kerb when it's coloured yellow!
All in all I ( and my 5 mates) would highly recommend it and will never go back to a hotel holiday as long as villas like this exist!

"The villa is exactly as described, luxurious, and providing everything you could possibly need. The pool is lovely, we couldn't get our two Boys out of it! Jackie was very helpful, and the villa was cleaned to a high standard. You definitely need a car - with small children, the heat, and the hills, we couldn't walk anywhere, and I think I mis-interpreted the information in the summary, as I imagined that we would be able to walk to some restaurants and shops. Guardamar was our regular evening trip, there was a much better range of restaurants, a market and funfair."

"I would like to thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful villa. It was so comfortable and we wanted for nothing whilst staying there it was great value for money.Jackie who greated us was lovely and we knew that if we needed anything she was only a phone call away. I think you do need to hire a car as there is a steep hill to walk up to reach bars/shops etc as well as sight seeing.But that aside it was a relaxing holiday thankyou once again i will and actually already have recommened it to friends."

"Our family of 4 (2 teenage sons) had a great holiday in August. The villa was more than we had expected and came with extras you may not usually ecpect. The villa was clean and well presented and the pool was a great way of cooling off after a days sightseeing. The villa is well located near the coast and was only a short drive from shops, the beach and the local towns. Thanks for letting us share your property."

"This property is fantastic and we really enjoyed our weeks stay. The facilities within the villa were great and we couldn't have asked for more. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming.
The only down point about this villa is that it is not close to much so ideally you would be better off with a car. The closest supermarket was a 15/20 minute walk up a hill and there were only a few bars and restaurants there. We didnt hire a car so, if you are quite happy lounging by the pool all day and having a bit of a hill walk to the shops, bars and restaurants (which we didn't mind) then this place is ideal. We did go out to Guardamar a couple of nights, which was a 20 euro taxi drive for the six of us (very reasonable we thought) and more lively with some great night markets.
We were met at the property by Jackie and she was only a phone call away when we needed advice about taxis etc, she was very friendly and helpful.We got a taxi from the airport, which was only 30 euros, again we thought quite reasonable.
Overall, this villa was ideal for us and we had a fantastic week, I will most definitely recommend this to others."

With regard to the position of the property we do consider it to be in a good position for the restuarants and shops. But as we say on the website we do recommed a car for your stay to visit the tourist attractions and further restuarants. I really would not like to bring back shopping from the supermarket in the Spanish heat, although we fully appreciate your decision in not hiring a car.

"The property was excellent ,However we were surprised to be asked for 70euros for cleaning as I think it is probably a mistake on you site as it says price includes cleaning I think it should say excludes,also we were asked for 70 euros when the site said it would be 60 euros and that the villa would be cleaned on the Monday and Friday we did not see the keyholder until we left on the Saturday so therefore the towels were a bit soggy by them.also I have to say the towels suppled were no more than hand towels and I think the property could do with some large bath towels aslo ther was no coffee machine or cafetier and we had to buy one."

Thank you for review. However, the website clearly shows any additional charges to the booking. As you requested a welcome pack you would have seen the cleaning charges etc as they all together. The property is cleaned at the end of your stay, and it is the pool which is cleaned on Monday & Fridays. With regard to the towels, all our sets come with an appropriate hand and bath towel and not as the above description. This is an self contained holiday and this property has an airer and rotary line for you to dry things. If you have any problems there is a contact number on the door and in the guest book for you to call. It is very important to read the site carefully, and if there are any changes after you have booked you would be contacted accordingly.
