| "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Doluca in Sept/Oct 2009.
The Villa itself was immaculately presented with everything one could possibly need and more, as near as you can get to a "home away from home". We would certainly recommend it to any of our friends or family.
The owners were excellent in their communications with us before our stay and very helpful in assisting with our needs and generally made us feel very welcome. Although we didnt need any assistance from the caretaker during our stay, we felt assured that any problems that may have occurred would have been dealt with immediately.
Location wise, its close enough to the main town of Kyrenia for those who want a livelier experience but also in a very quiet location for those who want a peaceful break. A car is essential though.
Plenty of restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive, we couldnt visit all of them in our 12 days there. All of a good standard albeit not as cheap as a first timer to North Cyprus would expect. But youre on holiday so what does that matter!!
Overall an excellent experience which we will certainly look to repeat in the future."

| "The property is fantastic, it took our breath away. It is spacious, light, and the decor is of a very high quality. Because we spent a large amount of our 2 week stay by the pool there were occasions when the nearby building work disturbed us but this wasnt regular and didnt detract from our holiday.
The local supermarkets and beaches are very good and Kyrenia is a lovely town with some good shops and restaurants.
We would highly recommend this property and will put this high on our list for next years holiday already.

Villa Doluca is both spacious, modern and furnished in a contemporay style to a high standard. The villa is in a good location for access to both Kyrenia and the tourist attractions in the surrounding area.The pool and gardens are well maintained with adequate seating and shaded areas.We particularly enjoyed spending relaxing evenings on the upper terrace which offers magnificent views of the coastline. The photographs do not do this property justice."

"The property was very nice, well equipped with good views. it was well maintained the pool was clean and large enough for the property.My only real gripe is that it was situated next to a building site which was not evident from the literature. We were woken at 6 every morning with drilling and hammering, there was a procession of lorries diggers to and from the site which threww up huge clouds of dust which invariably blew over us.
In summary I have no real issue with the property it was of a very high standard, however the surrounding conditions spoilt it."

Having spent three months from June in the villa ourselves monitoring any noise from a small development of villas being built on the hillside above us, none of which are on adjoining plots to ours and only hearing an occasional hammering we did not think it necessary to put this in our literature.
Since then we have had three lots of guests who have enjoyed their holidays and have not been disturbed by any building.
However, we take all comments from renters seriously and have asked our neighbours what happened the week you were there. Evidently the noise level increased due to shuttering work on the swimming pools, this coincided with the temperatures shooting up and building work starting earlier in the morning but went quieter in the afternoons.
We are very sorry about this but this was out of our control.
We do strive to provide a really lovely villa for our guests and the good news is these villas should be completed within the next few months.

| "There was nothing about this villa that we could fault. The facilities, furnishings, pool etc were all first class and we have rented many villas over the last 40 years so have a wealth of experience as renters!
The weather was very hot so the swimming pool and the covered area under the house were our salvation. Super views of the sea and mountains from the terraces - St Hilarion Castle looked fantastic by night and could be seen from within the villa as well as from the side terrace. You will not be disappointed."

| "A lovely property with everything provided to make an excellent holiday. Looked after by very helpful locals. Excellent swimming pool which was lovely and warm. There is only one minor detail to be aware of and that is the stairs leading up to the property for those visitors with very young children that said as the house is on stilts there was always a lovely large shaded area for the children."

| "Wow - what a perfect holiday! The Villa is fab. My son (aged 15) and I went in July when it was boiling hot, so the swimming pool was wonderful. One of the other great benefits, as the villa is on stilts, is our hire car could stay underneath and remain lovely and cool. The inside of the villa is beautifully done and you feel immediately at home, with all mod cons, especially the air conditioning in the evening - heaven! The location is great for exploring. we visited all the beaches on the North Coast, the best one "horseshoe beach" (nr Kayalar) with a cafe-restaurant at the top of the drop to the shore, also very few tourists - our own beach. The water is crystal clear and fabulous for snorkelling. The caretaker is a star - we had one problem (our own doing!) and it was sorted out immediately, he is very helpful and gives very useful information about the island. We had a really wonderful holiday."

| "The photos on the site don't do the property justice, it's beautiful both inside and out. The tasteful decor has been well chosen and the quality of furnishings is excellent. The villa is in the hills above Kyrenia and has wonderfull views over the sea, especially from the master bedroom and lounge. It is situated on a cul-de-sac away from the main road which is easy to reach and only a short drive to Kyrenia itself.
On arrival, we were met by someone, arranged by the owner, who gave us the grand tour of the property and even provided a 'welcome pack' of groceries, he also dealt promptly with a minor problem on the first day - a great service. There are numerous restaurants close by, many overlooking the sea and the owners have left a range of information to help you select the best places to eat / see.
We went in November when it was warm / hot in the day and cool / cold at night but the villa's facilities enabled us to be comfortable the whole time, especially the big open log fire each night! During the very hot summer, I'm sure the villa will be cool through the day as it's built on stilts allowing the air to circulate underneath as well.
There are other ex-pats nearby that live there permanently and they love it, they are welcoming but don't intrude, so we had a safe, restful, away-from-it-all & enjoyable holiday and have already recommended it to others."
