| "This apartment and Resort was perfect. The apartment was situated only a 10 minute walk from the main square of Albufeira and the beach. The apartment was clean, welcoming and fully equipped. The staff couldnt have been more helpful during our stay.
The pool was super, a great way to cool down and relax in the afternoon.
The apartment was immaculate and perfect for our short break.
This was a super holiday and we were very sad to leave. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday with good bars and entertainment close by. We could not find fault with anything about this holiday the weather in March was unusually hot for the time of year and we will definitely come back again. Thanks again to Erik for everything.

| "This was our first holiday that was not a package deal and we are hooked. The apartment was probably in one of the best and most quiet positions in Cerro Mar. The pool virtually adjacent to the apartment was perfect and usually very quiet considering the time of year. The apartment was first class with the description being spot-on. There are a very good restaurants within the complex and we did venture to the strip a couple of times. The indoor facilities like Sauna, Gym, Pool, Squash, Bowling, Spa etc was an excellent plus. As a family we were very impressed. Fantastic holiday. I would recommend the apartment to anyone and we will for sure return in the very near future!"

| "Excellent spacious apartment with a large balcony - exactly as described. Its modern and new and the facilities in the complex were excellent. There were some added extras such as buckets and spades, which the kids loved. We took the 10 minutes walk down the stairs to the square and the beach and a 5 Euro taxi would take the 4 of us back up again when the kids were tired. The position of the apartment suited us well. It is away from the main pool area and has a great view of the ocean. We loved the apartment, all the facilities and the area is lovely for families. We would definitely come back again! Erik was very helpful in sorting our transfers to and from the airport as well. All in all a great experience!"

| "Excellent appointed apartment. Everything you could want. Possibly only downside was tv - only one English speaking channel, CNN. Hotel facilities were superb. Super smooth transfer to and from the airport, using Eriks recommendation, Dale Transfers. I counted 99 steps down to the Old Town but dont let that put you off as steps are staggered. Would definitely use again."

| "Stayed in this apartment on 12th July 2008 for 10 nights.Walked into a spotlessly clean apartment, everything described was in the apartment. The owner,Erik from Algarve Property World was very friendly and helpful and paid us a visit to introduce himself. The property was well worth the money and is definately recommended.Plenty of towels and sheets provided. The steps to the town were across the road and was not a problem.Within 5 minutes you were in the town square.I would definately recommend you book a transfer through Erik and not privately as we did.Leaving early in the morning the reception wouldnt take the keys and luckily our taxi driver said he would dro p the keys off later in the day.We didnt realise at the time of booking that a transfer could of been arranged where the manager would have keys on him and would take them from you on your return home. Two sets of keys would of been beneficial but not a major problem.Had a very pleasant holiday and would use this apartment again."

| "We had a great stay at Cerro Mar. The apartment had all the amenities we needed and was close to a great local market, with easy access to the town.
The indoor pool and gym were excellent, although at the time the sauna and steam room were not in operation. We also had access to 2 lovely outdoor pools.
Would recommend to others wanting a relaxing holiday and value for money.

"The property met our expectation and was as described.
Julie the owner, was very helpful when we had to contact her regarding some minor issues with the fridge and keys.
It would be useful if more keys were issued when arriving. Due to only having one gate key and apartment key for the 2 weeks of our stay it sometimes proved difficult to co ordinate gaining access again on the few occasions our party split into two.
I would recommend this apartment and wuld have no hesitation in returning in the future"

:
2 set of keys are now available.

| "My Husband and I visited this apartment for 3 weeks and 2 days in February and March The apartment was very nice clean and tidy with plenty of Towels and bedding ,which was changed weekly.A Portuguese couple came to clean twice the second time we were out,but as we were out all the time this didnt matter. We walked up and down the 104 steps 3 times a day, and we are 72 and 79 so dont let this put you off It certainly gets you fit, and there are 3 other ways down. Now the weather Marvellous hot sun every day, we just had one day when it rained and by the time we had got to the Bus shop on Av da Liberdade it had stopped and there was the Sun again, a wonderful time to go. So much so we are returning in 2 weeks time for 3 months April May and June.We are not at the apartment. We have rented a house in the Fishermans quarter, but we would reccomend the apartment.Thank you Julie it was lovely Betty Thornley"

| "This was our second stay in this apartment and as before very good value for money. Some building work around the apartment which should be finishing soon otherwise a very enjoyable stay in a part of Portugal we love. We will be coming back the year after next and looking for this apartment again. The owner Julie gets things sorted out very quickly if problems arise. Ours was a minor one with cleaners and it was sorted by a phone call within the hour."

| "A clean well located apartment with a great view of the ocean. Our only gripe was that the TV remote was missing, putting us back into the dark ages of changing channels by hand. However as most of the programs were in foreign languages it wasn't much of a hardship. We would recommend this place without reservation. A great bargain."

"Excellent overall & ideal for just the two of us, but could easily have taken 4. Lovely open aspect as promised on the web site and very convenient for old town, though you need to be prepared for the circa 100 steps climb.
Minor gripes / suggestions for improvement:
- when we asked for access to the pools at adjacent properties (Cerr Mar 2 & 4) we were told that this was not available to private rentals such as ours
- noisy (intermittent) aircon unit in the bedroom
- needs hooks on the walls & doors for towels, jackets, hats, etc
- directions need to be more precise as very few streets have street names on them. The Lidl supermarket junction is a key landmark."
Owner reply:
:
Access to pool areas at Cerro Mar 2 and 4 is available to all Cerro Mar users. The key that provides gate access to our apartment block also provides access through all other gates on the complex so you are free to move between the various areas without the need to ask reception.

"I visited this apartment last year - August 2005 - with my two young sons (4 and 6). Its a great place to be..short 10 minute walk from the main square, yes uphill but not a problem for anyone remotely ambulant. The apartment itself is fine..air conditioned, nice furnishings, spacious, nice balcony, quiet..I slept on the trolley bed which was perfectly comfortable and well sprung and the boys slept in the bedroom. The only problem we had was no clean sheets on arrival and hadn't been cleaned..mix up with reception..because its a private apartment we were directed to the owner to sort it out..one phone call and it was sorted (she was fab) and honestly it was not a problem. Super complex..choice of indoor and outdoor pools. The bus stops for the water parks are within a 10 minute walk..(DO NOT get a taxi as you will be stranded!)..and there is a supermarket about 15 mins walk away..should really be slagging it off in case we want to go back this year so there is still availability! Top place!"
Owner reply:
:
We have since employed an external cleaning Company who have the apartment ready for arrival and do a linen change and quick clean mid week. It's working very well so when you go again you will not be diappointed.

"This apartment was clean, comfortable, well-equipped and secure in a good location for the old town square.
Access to the square was via a long flight of steps as previously mentioned (approximately 90!) - very easy going down but obviously much more challenging coming back up! There is a courtesy bus to the old town but we didn't use it so obviously the steps weren't too bad for us.
Just a point to note that there are two sets of steps. The steps slightly to the left of the apartment with a hand painted sign "to the old town" (which we found first) are pretty dilapidated and treacherous especially when it has been raining - whereas the steps across to the right of the apartment (down from the reception) are much safer.
We used the apartment during March 06 and so it was very quiet which suited us - can't say what it would be like during peak period. No maid service from Cerro Mar because the apartment is privately owned.
The only downside to our holiday, but no reflection on the apartment, was that the old town square and surrounding streets were completely dug up to have new pipes laid.
This made it impossible to cross the square, without trecking around an incredibly cumbersome route to get to the beach.
One of the main reasons we picked the apartment was its location to the old town and the evening entertainment in the square which of course was unvailable due to the major roadworks. I'm sure the square will be put back to its previous state eventually but for those going to the Old Town soon, it didn't look as if that was imminent.
Great apartment though and spacious for a 1-bedroomed."
Owner reply:
:
We have been in contact with the Managers at our complex and they have informed us that they are working around the clock and works in the Old Town are due to be completed by the end of April 2006.

| "Linda and I have visited the Algarve 5 times and Albufeira has always been our favourite place especially out of season at the beginning of the year. We arrived knowing that this apartment was excellent value for money and hoping it would live up to its advertising which made it the perfect place for what we wanted. This apartment is located in the perfect place with breathtaking sea views just above the old town in a complex that has everything. We were not disapointed with the description given either, in our opinion it was far better than we expected and we have already booked it again for next year. The steps up and down into the old town were fine for us so we decided not to use the curtesy bus but would advise those with walking difficulties to do so. Some building is going on around the complex but because of this apartments location you are unnafected as it is a couple of blocks away. We self catered most of the time finding Lidl's supermarket and the fresh fruit and fish market more than adequate for our needs. Lidl's is only a quarter of a mile up the road and the veg and fish market a little further. We did hire a car one of the weeks we were there to see the rest of the Algarve but you can get by without one with a pretty good bus system. Albufeira is currently having a facelift on it's pavements, roads and the town square but will look lovely when it is finished in a few weeks. Wonderful place an excellent apartment, we look forward to going back next year.

| "This is a beautiful apartment with fantastic views of the sea and the roof garden, a short walk away from the old town of Albufeira. It's at the top of a hill, so the steps down can be quite steep, so not ideal if you have walking difficulties.
The location is lovely and quiet, and the hotel amenities are excellent, with all the kitchen equipment you could need, as well as a dishwasher! As it is a private apartment, you don't get the daily maid service, but we found the apartment very clean and welcoming. It's a bit tricky finding the apartment in the dark, as street names are well hidden, but follow the signs for Cerro de Malpique, and you'll be ok.
The beaches nearby are superb and the people are really friendly. There is an indoor heated pool, sauna and gym in the Cerro Mar 3 complex where this apartment is, and an outdoor pool in the Cerro Mar 2, where the reception is. All in all, the whole complex is kitted out really well and is well worth the money."
