| "I spent an enjoyable sunny and hot 5 days in this basic but clean and good value villa during September 2009. Located on the fringe of a nice residential area, the villa is 10 mins walk away from the good local shop and ideally situated a couple of minutes away from the main road to the coast and Alicante and 10 minutes drive away from the surprisingly metropolitan San Vicente. Inside, the living rooms have air-con and the accomodation is fairly spacious. The pool and patio area is a good size although the pool was a little dirty and the fencing around this area was no longer in place, so made it quite exposed. The owner Paul and the rep Colin were both very friendly and helpful."

| "This property offers affordable, clean, basic accommodation. It is far from grand, but what the villa lacks in embellishments, it gains in service. Colin and Tina (and their gorgeous cocker spaniel puppy Cassie) were amazing. Incredibly helpful, attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. When its windy the pool can get dust blown in from the stables next door, (from where we were treated to impromptu performances by beautiful andalusian horses being schooled in the adjacent paddock). Colin ensured that the pool was kept clean and clear for us with regular attention. Cant praise the service high enough!!"

| "The villa was in an excellent position, 10 minutes walk to bar/restaurant and shop. Easy walk into San Vincent and 10 minutes taxi ride into Alicante nightlife. The hospitality within the bar/restaurant was absolutely fantastic, well recommended. The property was clean and tidy with plenty of fresh bedding and towels. It has everything you need for a holiday and my girlfriends and I will definitely be going back again next year."

| "Had a great 2 weeks in the villa at the end of september. Even though the weather was awful the first week, we found plenty to do.
The villa is great, all clean and has everything you need and more for a perfect familt holiday. The pool is lovely and plenty of sun bathing area (that is if you get sun).
Location we found was superb as only short drive from town etc, would definately recommend a car if staying as villa is in quite a rural area, and dark at night.
Would definately go again, and looking forward to staying in this villa.

| "This villa is definitely value for money.The pool was fantastic and great for volley ball and other water games.As on the other review, watching the horses doing their tricks was good entertainment. San Vicente was alot bigger than we first thought and the Saturday market was great. All in all had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend the villa for a lovely peaceful family holiday. Paul was very helpful with a couple of minor problems we had,got them sorted out straight away. Thank you for allowing us to rent out your villa and having the type of holiday we all needed after the year we have had."

| "We had a wonderful stay in the villa. Having the pool was marvellous and the house was equipped with all we needed. We were entertained daily by the frogs in the pond next door (the evening chorus was particularly amusing) but didnt find any of the mosquitos mentioned in a previous review. The riding stables next door were also entertaining, especially when the horses were practising their dance steps.
We were delighted to find that the local bar is also a restaurant where the service was wonderful and we got to try many local dishes which were beautifully cooked by Mama in the kitchen.
The local buses were always on time and very reasonably priced and when armed with a print out from GoogleMaps showing the villa we had no problem with taxis.
Weve already booked for next year."

| "Villa good value for money having the pool is great. We did have a problem getting home by taxis from san vicente, drivers did not know the address. Having the bus stop opposite the villa is great and they are always on time. We didnt have a car and managed a couple of trips to Benidorm and a few to Alicante."

| "The villa is great, supplied with everything we needed and was very spacious. Having the internet access was fantastic, and the phone line was great. The pool was lovely, and easy to maintain, although we would have liked it to be a bit cleaner when we arrived.
The transfers were great, easily organized, and the guys were very helpful. I’m glad we decided to use them because the villa is out in the middle of nowhere, and we would have struggled to get a taxi, or navigate ourselves. It was lovely to have the peace and quiet of the area. However if you wanted to go any further than the local shop I would highly recommend hiring a car. The local town is more that a 40min walk away.
The only down side was the location, the local shop was ok for some essentials, and the local bar was ok (but I wouldn't recommend it to a group of girls, the local men can be slightly intimidating.) We managed to get taxi’s booked from the bar to Alicante, but then had to direct the drivers back to the villa because they didn’t know where the it was, even when we had the address! There is a bus stop across from the villa, but no scheduled service that we could fathom. Luckily we found an English taxi driver who agreed to pick us up on a couple of nights to go out, and our Spanish soon picked up when we had to direct a driver back again.
All in all we had a great time, I would go back to this villa, and recommend it to friends, but I would defiantly hire a car to get around."

| "we have had a fantastic holiday, villa is excellent. pool is great and children loved it! villa is great for children and babies and plenty of room and clean. local shop closer than we thought and well stocked with meat counter which is great for barbeque and lots of wine! local bus service is great once you work times out, car is not essential but would be handy but as villa is lovely didn`t need to really go anywhere. we picked lemons off trees in back garden which are handy for drinks! we recommend phrase book as villa is quite rural and no-one speaks english but good fun though! andy was more than helpful and we were greeted well and even bottles of wine were left in villa for our arrival along with basics. overall wonderful week and we`ll be back next year!"

| "A superb property, well described and located in an excellent position for a peaceful holiday.
With the addition of a car we were able to explore the area of the Costa Blanca.
The advantage of the property being divided into two seperate areas meant we were able to share the holiday with the in-laws without being in each others pockets throughout.
Efforts were made by Andy both at the start and end of the holiday to ensure we had an enjoyable time.
This property is highly recommended and we hope to revisit in the future. Thanks"

"Good morning
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say thank you for letting us use the villa it was very nice and a lovely retreat and the location was ideal for our family.
Dean (Nigel’s son) was extremely helpful and we are so grateful for helping us out at the last minute with the transfers from the airport. We did come back earlier than planned but this was nothing to do with the villa it was because I booked the flights incorrect, which I have to say looking at today’s news I am quite glad I did.

| "We found the villa to be very well located. It was within an easy 5 minute drive of many shops, bars, etc and yet benefitted from a quiet, rural location.
The site is totally fenced in providing a safe environment for children. The pool is a great plus for the kids.
There were many "extras" including internet access, TV/DVD/Video, telephone with free evening calls and air conditioning.
We found the fact that the villa is split into two apartments to be great, allowing us to share a holiday with friends but yet still have some privacy.
We did suffer one or two minor issues on day one but Andy was always available by phone to help out. In fact, he could not have been more helpful.
Overall, this villa provides excellent value for money."

| "The accomodation was comfortable and there was varied sitting out space where you could also seek shade.
The pool was excellent and easy to maintain and was a godsend as the temperature was always in the 30's.
Well equipped and with 2 seperate apartments there is plenty space.
Although we did not use a car I would recommend one but chose not to drive.
With the bus stop across from the villa, a bus went into town every 80 mins and the "local" shop was well stocked and only a 10 minute walk.
The location although rural was peaceful with plenty of birds, horses and other local wildlife with bats appearing before dusk!
The Owner was in touch with us to check everything was ok and to ensure our airport transfer was arranged.
We had a fantastic week and were very sorry to leave."

"Outside of Villa unkept Builders equipment left about. Pool dirty. Inside very dusty Air conditioning not working No TV reception.
The distances quoted to Airport beach and shops etc were very misleading much further than quoted"

Unfortunately this review is flawed in every detail. I telephoned the clients a few days before they left for Spain, and arranged for them to have the keys to the property, and gave them directions to drive to the villa from Alicante airport. They contacted me on the night they arrived at the villa, complaining that they could not 'get around' without the use of a car. I advised that a car was recommended, and believed it said so in my advert. In fact, when I checked, my wording was 'the use of a car is highly recommended ...'
The clients asked if I could recommend anywhere to hire a car, and I said I could give them the number of a spanish company that usually hire us a car for about £80/week including insurance. They complained that their taxi driver had taken half an hour to drive to the property, whereas my advert says it would be 15 minutes. I pointed out that I can drive it in 8 minutes on a good day, but Microsoft Autoroute puts it at 15 minutes, so that was what I used in my advert.
No mentioned was made of anything being wrong with the villa, grounds or pool, and in fact I had paid the cleaning company £90 to clean it the day before these clients went in - and the pool was also cleaned by the management company. In both cases, if there was anything wrong, the company would have returned and made good.
I heard nothing more from the clients, despite trying to contact them there by telephone over the next few days. I eventually paid someone to go to the property to check on their welfare, and found that they had left early without letting me know.
Everyone else who has booked to stay in the villa has commented favourably, and in one case by way of a full A4 handwritten note saying how much they enjoyed it.
As I have found in business, it is impossible to please everyone all of the time - but I would ask anyone reading this to make their own mind up, and not allow this malicious review to put them off.
