| "This beautiful cottage, nestled in a village filled with friendly but unobtrusive locals, was happily situated on the border of England and Wales, making itself an excellent base for our exploration of the best that each had to offer.
The cottage itself was decorated and furnished to a very high standard, in sympathy with the age of the property and a comfortable but contemporary country style. We were most pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the kitchen was, and made the most of it, preparing dishes using the very best local fayre.
There is so much to see and do, just a short drive away in any direction.. The castle and Food Festival at Ludlow were wonderful, and Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Chester all deserve a days visit. Simply heading out in the car into the Welsh countryside affords a multitude of beautiful sights and experiences.
An excellent place to stay."

Not for 5 persons, though better suited for 2 or 3 persons."

| "I really enjoyed our stay here. This really is a lovely, well equipped cottage with a beautiful front garden. Its a great base from which to explore the surrounding countryside in Wales and Shropshire. Theres a good pub (The Bradford Arms), and Indian restaurant and a handy shop for the basics. Also - everyone in the village was very friendly. My only criticism is that you do hear quite a bit of road noise from the house, but this is not a problem at night. Thank you!"

| "This is a fantastic holiday cottage, furnished to the highest standards.
The local Post Office-cum-newsagent had unfortunately closed a couple of weeks before we got there, but it really didnt pose a problem.
The housekeeper is absolutely first-class, and nothing proved too much trouble ~ thank you, Bev!
Sincerely hope we are able to stay here again, as theres lots still to see in the area."

| "we have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at apple tree cottage. The cottage is compact and bijou just enough room for two adults with two small children. we had one nine year old with us. there is so much to do in and around the area. A places of intrest folder would be very helpfull or even a comment book so guests could make there sugestions .
things to concider do not take any elderly as stairs very steep, do not use stairs in stocking feet as you will slip and fall. there needs to be a grab rail when you come out of the bedroom.
6/10"

| "My wife and our two children [12 & 10] enjoyed our stay immensely. The accommodation is wonderful and Llanymynech is a good base for exploring North Wales and some of the most beautifull scenery we have ever seen.
If there was one thing that, in our opinion, could be added to the package to complete a memorable holiday it would be more local information, best local restaurants, best local towns for produce and local amenities ie: swimming pool etc. Best local beaches and key places to visit. A welcome pack with this info would be great. The leaflets, and there are plenty, are fine but do not have actual experiences and all sound great but when you are on holiday you do not want to waste a minute on just another day trip. It would be nice to have personal recommendations. In our opinion Llangollen, Aberdovey, Portmeirion, Chester zoo and the local Bradford Arms are all worth a mention.
This in no way spoilt our stay which truly was unforgettable.
Thank you."

| "Loathed to give this property a good rating , as we would like to keep it as our family secret, and now others will find out what a wonderful place you have. I especially appreciated the proximity to the fine food and drink at the Bradford Arms."

| "We have - literally - just returned from a 5 night break at the cottage and wanted to let you have our review straight away. We often stay in rented cottages for our half-term family get-aways and have on occasion been disappointed with the standard of accommodation provided. Not so with Apple Tree Cottage! It is as lovely as it looks! Two points of interest to any would-be renters which aren't mentioned in the owner's particulars are (a) there is a great little shop/post office within two hundred yards of the property, which provides all the basics and (b) the beds are really comfortable! There are great walks literally from the door and we highly recommend Lake Vrynwy for beautiful scenery and beautiful trails."

| "Our whole family (2 adults and 3 kids ages 11, 9, and 7) definitely felt that the cottage was one of the highlights of our trip to the UK. We were totally in love with it--so cozy and warm. We felt snug and at home. Another highlight was the Indian restaurant down the street--it truly adds to the whole atmosphere that you have a wonderful restaurant and a store as well, within walking distance.... Truly an experience we will remember fondly. The owners have outdone themselves in the renovation, decorating, and furnishings as well. Thanks for a great stay."

| "Property was very clean and comfortable. Village amenities are poor, shop and pubs not at all of a high standard. The cottage is fine if you do not want to spend any time at all in the village."

"We enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree Cottage and found it comfortable and relaxing. The Shropshire area is very interesting and is not over run with tourists which made our stay more enjoyable. We will definately visit again.
