"We have just arrived back from the villa and found it excellent value for money. It was spacious (even with six adults!), clean and had all the amenities we needed. It benefits from a large outdoor patio and large balconies on two sides. The two bathrooms were also very handy. The villa is situated in a quiet area but has supermarkets nearby and the train station, the taxi rank and the beach is only a fifteen minute walk away.
The owners, Jane and Fonz, were so helpful and really contributed to making our stay in Estoril most enjoyable.

Please read the information and maps that we provide on Villarenters web site carefully before you book. This is NOT a sea front, purpose built resort but a privately owned apartment. The beaches and shops are close to the apartment ( distances on the website ) and individuals must decide if they are willing and able to make the short journey prior to booking. We also state that the best exploration of the area is by car. We would hate customers to be disappointed because they have not read all information carefully. We are always happy to give advice and answer all questions to anyone making enquiries about the apartment.

"Thank you for your review of the apartment. Perhaps you could check the description of the apartment as advertised for the property again. It could be that the language barrier has caused you some problems.
The property is advertised as a traditional style first floor villa apartment. The advert does not state that it is a house, a whole villa or anything other than an apartment. This means that it is a totally independent apartment within a villa which will therefore have more than one party staying at a given time. The villa has actually only got three apartments in total.
Regarding the noise I have checked and discovered that 2 of the three neighbours were actually on holiday during your stay so noise should have been minimal. Again the advert for the apartment does state that the apartment is in a quiet area but that you may hear occasional noise. Please note also that the apartment is on the outskirts of a large city so it will not be as quiet as secluded country location.
Access to the patio is down the steps leading up to the apartment and is exclusively for the use of customers renting the first floor apartment.
Regarding your child’s lack of sleep I can only wonder why, perhaps the weather was too hot for him to settle. Please also note that you were not charged for your child to stay in the apartment. I provided a cot for him to sleep in along with sheets and towels too.
I try hard to please my customers by making their stay as pleasant as possible in Portugal. I hope that your minor problems did not in any way spoil your stay in this country.

"Regarding the expectations, the description was not entirely accurate since it did not include that there are other tenants and we were with a little child who sleeps more than an adult and some noises were disturbing. The other deficiency in the description is that the patio is not part of the aparatment although we assumed we have direct access from the apartment. That is the reason I did not mark the question whether it met our expectations, I would have needed an answer partly met, because it was not clearly a disappointment.
