| "First of all villa owner is very pleasant person. Nothing was a problem for him. Villa itself is nice, well equipped - we did not miss anything. Pool is perfect - we even did not have a need to come to a beach. And if yes, then quite late (7PM and later) - they were not so full. Hot, fine sand & pleasant water.
Also view from terrace charming. Vicinity is very quite, absultely ideal for one who seek tranquil vacation.
As a final statement for villa - I fully recommend thanks to owner, location & pure italian atmosphere.
Only cardrivers should be aware of really narrow sideway roads."

| "The property itself is lovely with excellent finish throughout.
The location is such that you get total privacy and no shortage of peace and quiet but having said that, there is a large supermarket with 5 minutes and a superb bakery a very short drive away. Also, the quantity of fruit you can pick during a week will surprise you!
Forio is about 10 - 15 minutes away by car and is a lovely port with several good restaurants and shops. We also recommend a morning coffee in Pranza.
Michael gives you a thorough introduction to the house and you get a real feel that you are staying in a friends home.
The photos on the site cannot adequately put across the breathtaking view, it really is special.
One point to bear in mind is that you cannot really access the property without a car, and make sure it is not a large one! We had a Ford Focus estate and I would say it was too big. Anything larger than a VW Golf and I recommend taking out the extra insurance from the car hire company!
That is a small issue and not a problem if you take it into consideration when booking a car.
I would heartily recommend this property, it makes for a wonderful temporary home on a wonderful island."

"A lovely villa although you need a small car to get up the narrow road. it is
worth ith though for the spectacular views of the sea. The villa is spacious and well equipped .
My children had great fun making pizzas in the pizza oven. I do not think that the internet pictures do it justice
We were picking peaches and hot lemons from the trees in July.Mike is a charming but unobtrusive and
when he puts in the new pool to replace the existing pool shortly the villa will be perfect for a great family holiday, highly recommend this villa.

Our road is narrow and is not suitable for large cars. However, as previously noted, my BMW 318 coupe (1.7 m. wide) goes up & down without difficulty, and the common hire cars, Fiat Pandas etc., negotiate the road with ease. It is a fact that most roads on the island are narrow.
I regret that I must have inadvertently confused Clare about ‘replacing’ the pool; happily we do not need to do this.
During Clare’s visit (07 to 21-July) we were troubled by an elusive but persistent leak, which necessitated frequent topping-up of the pool. Since then we have isolated the cause of the problem and this will be rectified at the end of the season. The pool has been stable, and full, since the end of July.

| "The villa is spacious, comfortable and clean. All the windows and doors have insect screens to keep the beasties out. The bedrooms and lounge are equipped with electric fans which keep the rooms cool in the hot summer. The pool is clean and well-maintained and wonderful to dip into during the hot afternoons. The villa grounds are stocked with fruit trees which guests are allowed to help themselves to.
The villa is situated half way up a mountain (possibly a hill, but I come from flat Norfolk so it's hard for me to gauge!). The young members of the party managed the climb up the road in about 10 minutes, but we needed to rent a car for the more elderly members of our party. The road is narrow but our rented Fiat Panda managed to squeeze through ok.
The proprietors are helpful and are on hand for any problems. We stayed for two weeks and had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend."

"Once we negotiated the ferry crossing to Ischia - remember to take car documents if going by car - finding the villa was simple (although we had sat-nav to make it easier and only got lost once!). However a warning for future users going by car - the road up to the villa is extremely narrow at the bottom, and steep. We could not get our car up there and had to walk up and down. Our friends had a hire car and even that only squeezed in by an inch either side. Now we know why the islanders drive small cars. However the owner was there to meet us on the first night and take our luggage up. And the walk up and down was good exercise!
Apart from that, the villa was lovely, with fabulous views of the sea and the island below. The pool is great.
At the bottom of the lane is a supermarket and a wine house for all necessary supplies! All in all a great place to stay."

"A very spacious villa in a lovely situation. It had a few dusty corners, but spectacular views.
Our only real problem was that the pool was not ready because of problems with the water pumping. Mike tried his best and compensated us financially, but this was disappointing and might be something to check before finalising a booking."
Owner reply:
:
It was extremely regrettable that the pool was not ready for use. The pool had been emptied the previous year and refilling was delayed while substantial improvements were completed to the area around the pool.
When the time came to refill, intermittent water supply made this a very long and slow job. Initially the water supply problem was attributed to the utility in Napoli (all of Ischia's water is pumped from Napoli!) but in fact it was our own main pump and switchgear which ultimately proved to be responsible. Replacing these items completely resolved the problem and (please see subsequent reviews) the pool is now in excellent shape.
