"We had a very nice holiday. The villa is fantastic, the pool, the outdoor kitchen, the view over the sea... It is very suitable for families with children as there is plenty of opportunities for them to play while the parents relax:-)"

"This villa is quite literally, paradise!! I went with eight of our friends, and we all felt like we had died and gone to paradise. Needless to say, the villa and surroundings were immaculate, and the views could not possibly be better. The pool area is really ideal, especially for those looking to simply relax and absorb the quiet beauty of the Mediterranean while floating in the pool, naturally with a drink! The location is also Ideal, because you really have an opportunity to just blend in with the locals, it is not over run with tourists and great seaside towns are very close by. We loved it, and intend to be repeat visitors!"

"We were a family of ten people, with small children, young adults, and older folks. We had a wonderful two week stay at the villa. Even though it was the first two weeks of March, every day was filled with sunshine. It was perfect for day trips to Granada, Malaga, Gibraltar, Nerja, etc... The views from the villa of the Mediterranean were magnificent. My wife and I enjoyed walking down to the shoreline to watch the sunset every evening. The challenging switchback road up to the villa was an adventure in itself. The outside kitchen and patio by the pool was our favorite meeting place for the whole group. The private balcony off the master bedroom in the castle overlooking the Mediterranean was fabulous. Anne was very friendly, extremely helpful and always available to assist as needed. We have recommended this villa to everyone we know, and look forward to visiting again."

"Villa La Serena was an outstanding property in a beautiful setting just off the beach. The villa was far better than we expected and certainly superior to the pictures on the website. My children had a fantastic time during our holiday as the villa had lots of interesting features. In particular, the two houses being joined by a central courtyard, a typical Moorish design, was a big hit. The older children lived in House B and the rest of the family lived in House A. This gave them a degree of independence that they could never dream of!! They loved every minute of it. We had our holiday in April and the weather, while nice and sunny, was certainly not warm enough to use the pool. Despite this, the kids were in it every day! The area itself is very easy to get to and the drive from Malaga airport took just over 30 minutes. It is very close to most attractions in the Costa del Sol and Andalucía. Nerja, which is lovely and peaceful, is only 15 minutes away and has the famous Caves that must be seen. There were lots of nice restaurants within a short drive and overall, this is an outstanding holiday destination, particularly if you wish to avoid the busy ordinary costal areas further west. Anne, who greeted us at the property, was lovely and very helpful and ensured that everything was in perfect working order. Thank you Anne, we really appreciate your help. I have to say that the villarenters.com website was very efficient and conducted the transactions with distinction. I will certainly use again. Finally we would like to thank the owners for letting us enjoy their lovely home. "

" This Villa La Serena is an absolutely charming place. It is ideal for a family but also would be great for a group of up to five couples all with rooms of their own. Our extended family of us, the grandparents, my daughter and her family of five totally enjoyed all rooms of the Villa and particularly the pool and barbecue area. Nearby beaches and towns were also terrific and a couple of restaurants were a great find. The caves at Neja are incredible to see and the Alhambra, bit further but also a very worthwhile trip to Granada. The Villa was clean, problems very minor and the support staff helpful. This is a familys home with all the pictures, furniture and other marvelous touches you might expect in a Spanish Villa. We feel very fortunate to have shared it along with a fabulous view of the Mediterranean Sea."

"We all 12 enjoyed our stay at Villa la Sirena. In age we were of the range fro 1 to 60 years. Everything worked at least as we had expected. The service from Ann was perfect. The house was clean and tidy when we came to the house which was equipped at least as we had hoped."

"This was the best rental house we have ever rented! After looking at pictures on the internet we had mixed feelings since they where a bit dark and not even close to how fantastic this property was when we got there! On top of everything we found Ann, the local representative very nice. She was dedicated and very helpful when ever we contacted her with questions and requires for her recommendations. A great Thanks’ to Ann! One reminder is that you need a car to get around. We wish everyone choosing this house a very nice stay in a very nice house. "

"We had a lovely week here. We really enjoyed the fact that the villa is located out of town. It was a very relaxing week. Although you definatly need a car to get about in. We did venture out to the water park and the caves in Nerja. My sister and i enjoyed the markets in the next town (about 5/10 min drive from the villa). There was plenty to do in the surrounding areas if you wanted to. The one thing that was not mentioned in the description was that the beach was a 5 min walk away accross a very busy main road which we were slightly dissappointed with. But to be fair the beach was nothing to write home about anyway. So it did`nt bother us too much. The only other slightly negative point was by the end of the week the pool had started to go green. We were told that someone would be round in the week to clean it, but nobody turned up. Although to be fair the kids were in it everyday and for most of the day. The guy who met us with the keys (Adam) was the nicest person. He was so helpful and reccommended places to go and eat, gave us his number and said if we had any problems just to call him or if we wanted any advice on where to go or anything. Nothing was too much trouble. The actual villa was so nice, everything was clean and well looked after. The views were amazing. There was everything you could possibly want in the villa and more. The way it is laid out so there are two villas really was perfect for us, as we went away with my sisters family, so they had one villa and we had the other. So we both had a bit of privacy. The outside kitchen was a great idea and we ate there for most of the week. Altogether there was 11 of us staying there and my nan who was staying in Malaga came over for a day with her partner and there was still plenty of space for everyone to do what they wanted. We had a lovely holiday and would reccommend it to anyone. Infact we loved it so much we would definatly go back."

"This is a lovely villa in a lovely location overlooking the mediterranean. You could not wish for better views etc. The accommodation itself is clean and comfortable and well furnished. The swimming pool is quite small which lends itself to children playing but not for adults wishing to swim lengths etc. We had trouble with the hot water all week and it was very on/off. The villa host kept trying to sort it out for us but intermittent faults are difficult to fix. You definitely need a car if you stay here as decent shops are a good way away. We had a lovely holiday at La Sirena and it is perfect for a "getaway" holiday. You will have peace and tranquility all week. Do not go to this villa if you like going to bars/nightlife etc. There is none - which suited us just fine!!"

"Beautiful, tranquil setting up high overlooking the Med with nearly 180 degree views. This was a perfect location for us (familiy of 5 + mom-in-law) to use as a base to explore Andulusia. Ideal for two families who like to vacation together as there is ample sleeping and lounging space. The steep, unpaved driveway added an air of exclusivity and isolation which we enjoyed. Too cool in November to use the pool but pretty nonetheless, and evening fire took the chill off. Adam met us upon arrival and was very helpful. Great location. Beautiful home. Fun vacation. "

"What a stunning villa in a beautiful setting. The sunsets and sunrises are fantastic. Our whole party (of 12) were totally overjoyed when Adam, who greeted us upon our arrival, showed us around the villa. The pictures on the web site just don't do the property justice. The pool area and barbeque were a joy to use. Especially, as it had the much needed shade when the sun was at its hottest and the benefit of 2 fans overhead. We spent most evenings listening to our Ipods and playing cards in this area. Also the children were particularly pleased that both houses had Sky TV for them to watch. They even managed to see the Big Brother final, which they thought they would miss. The property has everything you need for a truly relaxing enjoyable holiday. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a peaceful, relaxing family holiday. The only thing I would stress is that I feel that do definately need a car to get about. This was not a problem for our party as we had 3 of them !"

"Jim - heaven does not begin to describe Sirena, paradise is closer to the mark. May seems to be the perfect time of the year to visit, the weather was superb, and the flora breathtaking. Several of my housemates are already planning return visits with either other friends or family members Aixa was extremely helpful the several times I needed to call her my one complaint is the access road, could the entry be widened over those ditches, I lost several years from my life every time we made that hair raising turn and someone actually wound up in the ditch one day we were coming down."

"This is a great place to spend your vacation. The villa is beautiful and very spacious. We rented both spaces for seven of us and it was great! The view of the Mditerranean is exceptional. We can't wait to go back!"

"Fantastic view , a very nice outside kitchen we used every day. The place was clean and tidy and there was plenty of room for our 9 people party. The only thing we missed was a dishwasher!"

"We were thrilled with our stay in this beautiful home. The views are "to die for." The home is well equipped, beautifully appointed, and very well taken care of. There's tons of room and privacy for all. We especially loved preparing our meals in the outdoor kitchen. Dning in the outdoor dining room, by the pool, with the view was spectacular! The location is also very convenient to shopping, restaurants and sight seeing. We can't wait to go back!"

"I have had the opportunity to visit Villa La Serena twice in the last two years and found it to be an exquisite property with unparalleled, top-of-the-world views. The separate "mini-villas" for sleeping offer privacy amongst guests, while the entire villa itself is set high on a mountain away from people and traffic. We wiled away many an hour sipping wine on the balconies with vast, unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea. Villa La Serena is a pristine, well thought out property, whether your choice is to "hole up" or venture into towns or countrysides as desired. The charm and high quality of the villa itself make it a pleasurable and easy place to stay, with full kitchens, a courtyard, authentic architecture and decor, and a full-size pool and outdoor entertaining area. Recommended with enthusiasm!"
