"Having been before we knew exactly what the aprtment was like. Have recommended it to several people. Perfect for a group of friends or two families even due to the connecting doors between the apartments. Its clean, tidy, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. There is a choice of pools, within easy walking distance of several restaurents, nice private patio areas, well kept gardens to the back where you can find a bar with pool table etc. The sofa beds are really comfy too. Cant fault it. The only drawback is the planes directly overhead, which we knew about anyway, but you dont hear them at night. Would not recommend to party animals looking for night clubs, this is a quiet family type area."

"Safe for children. The beds could have been softer, but who sleeps when on holiday?! :) The only real complaint we have are the shower heads. They should have been replaced, hardly no water comes out of them. This was our second stay and we will be back next year!!!! "

Owner reply: :
Thank you for your email. We have now replaced the shower heads. Next time if you have a problem just call us and well get it sorted for you.

Hope to hear from you next time.

"i have finaly got around to putting my thoughts of this excellent property we rented for four people two couples, it was very well equipt we did have to call on help due to one of the showers not giving hot water(this was dealt with very quickly) although it was hot weather so a cool shower was much appreciated and we couldnt complain as there was another shower next door in the ajoining apartment. planes not a problem at all we had stayed on the other side of golf del sur before so knew what to expect with the planes but they didnt bother us at all and we slept with the bedroom doors open all night and had no noise troubles at all. thankyou for a fantastic stay and brilliant facillities"

"Just returned from numbers 25 & 26 this morning after two fabulous weeks. the apartments are extremely well equipped and the interconnecting doors invaluable with two small children to watch over while we savoured sangria on the terrace. The complex itself was clean and secure my girls aged 5 & 6 enjoyed the freedom to wander around the complex with other children and having the choice of pools to swim/play in. The pool bar/restaurant was very good we ate there most of the time and never had a bad meal. All the residents/owners we met were warm and friendly and all five of us were sad to leave. There was entertainment on most nights, which was very good although some of it started a bit too late for us all to enjoy together. We had no issues with the apartments whatsoever and the the linen and towels were changed ater the first week. There is a laundry room not far from the apartments, which we used to launder our beach towels and that was very wellcome. I have to mention the planes as erveyone else does, I think we may turned into anoraks! We all enjoyed sitting around the pools watching the planes coming in and sometimes at night they flew right over our bungalows while we sat on the terrace, it may sound sad but we really enjoyed it. We cant fault the apartments and whilst there were various leaflets of restaurants & excursions in the apartments including a guestbook, we thought a little book/folder with tips on getting about - taxis/buses, the best place for shopping, market days and locations would be beneficial for rookies like us. Having said that though we had a brilliant time and have already recommended them to two families. Thanks very much"

"The apartments were ideal for two families as we could close the adjoining doors when we wanted privacy. When we arrived there were no camp beds as requested but this was soon put right with one quick phonecall. The linen and towels were changed half way through the stay which was good. Both properties were spacious but each had their own little minor problems. no 25 the pressure in the bath taps was so slow it would have taken a day to fill the bath, not many lamps worked and there were only two knives ( all minor niggles ). The roof terrace should be played down as it is little more than a small landing and the only view you can see is if you stand on a chair. Neither dishwashers worked. As for location, we have stayed in Golf Del Sur before so we knew what to expect with the plane noises. The Palms is an excellent resort, ideal locaion for the two golfers. The pools were excellent for the children and gardens kept well. I would recommend this property if travelling as two families, however if I was to stay on the Palms again I would try for one on the other side of the complex as the main bedroom backs onto the one way system and got quite noisy. Especially when it seemed that the dustmen paid a visit during the night!!"

Owner reply: :
Thank you for your feedback and I am glad you had a lovely time.

My apologies for the lack of camp beds in the apartment - that was my fault. I am glad the management team responded quickly.

Sorry for any little niggles. There was a problem with the electricity circuit which has now been rectified. There were loads of knives in apt 26 and only 2 in apt 25 so these have been reapportioned.

We have stayed in the apartments many many times and never had any problem noise from the road - the dustmen come once a week and normally in the morning. In our opinion this side of the complex is much more accesible than the other, it's much closer to the shop, bars and amenities and is sunnier.

"Stayed at 25 & 26 The Palms from 14-18 March 08 - We were a party of 6 and found that we had lots of room in the bungalows. Weather was lovely. Aeroplanes were quite noisy but after a few days you get used to them and they definately didn't keep any one awake at night. Bungalows has all modcons available. Lots to do in the surrounding area - lovely walks and restaurants. The complex has nightly entertainment with lovely friendly staff and good food. The complex has a laundy facility available if needed. If you are hiring a car go to San Blas and definately shop around for a few prices - the shop in Golf Del Sur tried to charge is 160 Euro for 3 days and in San Blas the same car cost us 90 Euro. Back to the apartment - we all loved it apart from one small negative - the sofa bed was really uncomfortable, apart from that all was great!"

"WE HAD A LOVELY RELAXING HOLIDAY AT THE PALMS, THE APARTMENTS WERE VERY SPACIOUS AND IS IDEAL FOR TWO FAMILIES, THE AEROPLANES DO FLY VERY LOW OVER THE APARTMENTS BUT THAT DID NOT BOTHER US. THANKS FOR A LOVELY HOLIDAY AND WE WILL HOPEFULLY COME BACK SOON."

"This was our second holiday in Tenerife. Golf del Sur is a nice area to relax in. Although it is situated directly beneath the flight path of the airport you do get used to the brief noise created by the aircraft. There are some fantastic restaurants in the local "San Blas" complex which is only a short walk away. Los Chrisianos and Las Americas are only a short distance away so this location is almost perfect in the southern part of the island. The Palms apartments are fantastic. Quite spacious, well equiped and a lovely place to stay. We were impressed that the kitchen was fully equiped, TV and hi-fi provided, and we loved having a small fan provided as well! We were also very impressed to find bottled water in the fridge and a small supply of tea & coffee upon arrival! The property had a beutiful sun terrace at the rear, complete with loungers and a table and chairs. It was perfect for a quiet area to soak up the sun. The Palms complex has several pools to make use of. All of the these are clean and provide an enjoyable place to have a refreshing swim. There is also a pub/restaurant on site which offers evening entertainment. We hired a car for the week through "island car hire", located in the San Blas complex. They were very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In summary, the apartments and the area generally are probably one of the best kept secrets of Tenerife, so long as you are prepared to travel a little to reach certain destinations."

"overall we had a lovely holiday. Golf was just what we were looking for, a relaxing family holiday with the benefit of being able to get taxis/buses to LasAmericas/Loschristionos/adeje. The apartment with the interconnecting doors was perfect and they had plenty of room for both families, especially having four teenagers. The complex although very quiet was what we were looking for. It was very secure and having the pool bar with its entertainment which could be heard from the apartment, meant that when we got back from having a meal out we could relax with a drink and let the children got to the pool bar. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday and didn't even notice the aircraft noise being over the flight path. The children loved it, it didnt disturb you at night as they stopped during the night and were only busy on certain days. I would definaltely reccommend it to other,s only if they have children who want lots of things to do they could get bored at time. We were in a group so it didn't matter. The pool was great and we dd not have to rush in a morning for loungers, a grat bonus. Plenty of places to eat also. If you want a quiet and reaxing holiday this would be perfect. The booking went smoothly every question was answered swiftly, everything went smoothly. We would definately go with them again. Regards."

"I have just returned from a lovely 10 day holiday in this double bungalow apartment. In total there were six of us, including 5 adults and a 4 year old child. The apartment itself is just as described and perfect for 2 families travelling together, as we were. The bathroom could have done with a bit of a better clean before we arrived but other than that we were very pleased. All rooms are a good size and the kitchen is particularly nice and very well equipped. The Palms complex is a bit tired and in need of some TLC but it’s still a very nice place to stay. The pools are very quiet and really pretty, especially the one next to the pool bar/restaurant where we spent a lot of our time. The staff in The Palms Restaurant are all very friendly and welcoming. As mentioned in previous reviews there is a lot of aeroplane noise due to the close proximity to the airport but we didn’t find it to be as much of a problem as the road noise. It’s worth noting that these apartments are located on a main road and there is quite a bit of noise. We did, however, get used to it after a few days and would not let it stop us booking to stay in the apartments again. Overall, a lovely holiday and a great apartment – well worth a visit! "

"Property was close to the airport-so a lot of planes flew over-but it lasted about 30-40 seconds per plane-otherwise very quiet/lots of pools There was only one bedroom per apartment and not two as we expected- Kitchen very good all other facilities very good one apartment would only sleep 3-4 Otherwise very good-would recommend"

Owner reply: :
Dear Bimal,

Many thanks for your feedback - much appreciated.

I think it's fairly clear that the property is 2 x one bed apartments linked together. This means 2 x twin beds, and two x sofa beds so the apartment can sleep up to 8.

I am very glad you had a great time and I look forward to hearing from you again in the future.

"Very disappointed we were not informed that the apartments were being renovated and work was being carried out, also the reception was shut. Having said that the apartment was fantastic, loads of room and all we needed. Very clean apart from the dead rat on the front terrace!! Planes directly overhead were not a problem to us but could be disconcerting for others. Love the area and the complex. Very quiet (except for the planes) only a bus ride away from Playa De Las Americas and Los Christianos."

Owner reply: :
Many thanks for your feedback.

The Palms is a complex full of privately owned apartments. I am sorry that the apartment two doors down was started some small renovation whilst you were out. This is just like your next door neighbour putting in a new bathroom - they do not have to warn you and have every right to do so.

The work took less than a week and is now finished.

I am so glad you had a lovely time - we have had nothing but positive feedback about our apartment and are continually listening to any feedback to make it more comfortable for people.

"It really was a good sized property, it is still two apartments with interconnecting doors that can be locked so is good for either a family or two couples sharing (two bathrooms, two kitchens, etc) We enjoyed staying there, and it was welcoming, you felt looked after. Comfy furnishings, Uk TV, all the mod cons. It was well kitted out, nice and clean too. Unlike some apartments you are getting what you see in the pictures. We had a slight problem with the water when we first arrived - Turns out it was nothing to do with the apartment, there was an air lock in the mains pipe from some roadworks the previous day - but the comforting thing was that there was someone on the end of the phone and they came round that day to have a look, they ran the airlock through the pipes and it was great after that. Excellant service! The only real drawback was you are directly under the flight path... once the busy Friday evening was over it does not bother you at all, just the odd one through the day. Several pools to choose from also so the kids were happy. We enjoyed it."

"Cannot fault the property but unfortunately the complex is undergoing a transformation from Timeshare to private ownership and at this present time is very quiet. This particular property is marred by the noise from overhead planes (directly overhead) and the traffic noise from outside. Apart from the noise kids liked it."

"Was pleased with the villa but the description on the website is not accurate. There is no onsuite to the bedrooms, only a family bathroom and the cloakrooms do not have a shower. Apart from these niggles the villa was very clean and in a great location. The flight path is directly above the two villas so is great for plane spotters."

"The complex seemed under occupied due to the nature of the complex being owned by individuals not a tour group. It was well maintained and located in a quiet area that had loads of golf courses making it the greenest part of Tenerife. The only noise comes from the airoplanes flying overhead. This wasn't as much of an annoyance as it might seem to be and the planes couldn't be heard at night when the doors were shut. The nearest of the airport (only 8 km) had the added advantage of easy access to it from a taxi. The quantity of swimming pools (5 - all in different styles) were in great condition and excellent for the kids. The local pool bar was staffed by lovely people who really seemed to care for our kids which took the pressure off having a night out. The area had loads to do too, but a car was needed if you didn't want to use the bus to get to a beach or a park, etc. The area had a lovely breeze which is missing from Portugal or Spain which was really appreciated by the children."
