Splendid panoramic views of the sea, rocks, white cliffs, white, sandy beaches and abundant flora amidst the famous Algarvian triad of almond, kerob and fig trees(almond trees blossom in January/February). Visit the spectacular Bravura Dam, in the Espinhaco de Cao mountain range, only 15 minutes away. See historical Lagos, built inside castle walls, with its fortresses, narrow streets and typical quarters, contrasting with modern architecture. Take a boat trip to the caves, waterski, try the latest fad: karting. Visit the zoo with the children. Shop at boutiques and pottery stores alike.
A great choice for the whole family and for golfers too ! The closest golf course is Boavista, 5 minutes from Luz. A very well designed course with spectacular views over the bay of Lagos, countryside and bay of Luz. Also within 15 minutes are Palmares and Parque da Floresta. All the courses have driving ranges, putting greens, clubhouses and rent clubs, buggies etc .
