I had the good fortune to stay at the Mount Cashel property with some friends of mine. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to make many day trips in all directions over a 10 day period. There was ample space for 5 adults with the four bedrooms. It was fabulous to have the common area with living room, kitchen and dining room. Yet we each had a bedroom we could unwind and relax in before going to sleep.
I had the pleasure of exploring the property in the early morning hours before everyone was up and ready to go for the day. Found a couple of delightful paths and trails. The scenery was breathtaking! The grounds were immaculate. It was a peaceful and calm place to unwind and relax in the evenings. And a stunning visual display at sunrise to start the day.
It was a plus to have some of the small things readily available there. There was a hair straightener, hair dryer, ironing board, a bowl of fruit and few staples in the kitchen. The internet service was reliable and the satellite tv was entertaining. I personally found the love seat in the living room so comfortable that I actually fell asleep on it a couple of nights.
I am accustomed to staying at hotel properties. This was a great change from what I normally experience. If I ever have the good fortune of visiting Ireland again, I would stay here again.

Simply Amazing.
I have no other definition for it. The property, the owners, the house (we rented the stables) and the dogs were just perfect!!! After traveling around the globe several times and renting homes in over 34 countries I must say this is one of the few I would rent over and over. I am already planning a late summer trip.
It is perfectly located so that a day trip to any major attraction or town on the west coast is possible and I do not worry about which friends to bring as there is a personal bathroom in each bedroom.
Finally someone who got it right!!!!
Thanks for 10 days of bliss.

A superb holiday accommodation. They have thought about everything and were warm and welcoming too. Great for those who want to get away from it all and Id imagine it would be great for children also. We loved the fact that it had a disabled bathroom and a lovely kitchen. The beds were the most comfortable beds we had slept in. I couldnt fault it!

This has been the best place weve stayed in Ireland. Very friendly and accomodating hosts, wonderful scenery, comfortable beds and the best showers in Ireland. I have already recommended it to all my friends.

Beautiful, peaceful location. Clean and well appointed, only item is the cooker/hob which needs replacing.

The property is set in a wonderful location - and even though the weather was terrible we were able to avail of the lake, trampoline, treehouse and wonderful countryside, as well as the fireside :)
The set up is idyllic, lovely and very family friendly - We were there 3 nights - and occupancy varied from 6-11 (kids shared beds for a night) - even at that we all comfortably had our own space.

The house and property were lovely, very well furnished and clean. The added welcoming touches by the owners made our stay all the more pleasant. The location was perfect for access to the wonderful and charming town of Ennis and all of the attractions in southwest Ireland. I recommend this property.

An out of this world experience. The views surrounded the property and the ambience within, are beyond words - It was magical and this was in Winter. In Summer it would be magnificent, expecially with all the wwater amenities on the lake and the walks in the surroundent woods. We must return!

We stayed at the "Stables" at Mount Cashel and found it to be very special! It was peaceful looking out of the living room with vaulted ceiling to see a beautiful private lake. In the kitchen we found everything we needed including fruit in a bowl and bread and milk! The owners were helpful and friendly and the estate made us feel as though we stepped back in time. Our daughter loved the animals, and grandma loved making a fire in the little fireplace stove. We can't wait to share this special place with friends again in the future!

We stayed in The Stables and it was just lovely!! The grounds were beautiful. Pat and Annette made us feel so welcome. They had fresh fruit and flowers waiting for us after our long journey from Dublin. The Stables was beautifully decorated. We all enjoyed the dogs, donkeys and horse that wandered the property. It is a place I would love to come back to and already telling my friends about. Thank you Pat and Annette for a lovely time.

Mount Cashel -The Stables was an excellent place to stay for a holiday. The owner, Pat, was very considerate and helpful. Even though we arrived very late on the first night, he came The Stables to greet us and explain some details about the property. We traveled with our friends and their children, and the kids loved our location. There lake and the activities that it provided were something to look forward to each day. In fact, the kids enjoyed it so much when were were out seeing the sites, they would ask when we could return to The Stables. This property was equipped with all the necessary items for cooking, washing clothing, and the internet connection was super as well. We all hope to stay at The Stables again someday.

When we arrived at The Stables we were very impressed with the location - its beautiful.
We arrived early- as previously arranged- and got into the house at 12. much appreciated as we had to be at a wedding by 2pm!
The accomodation itself couldn't have been better, the lovely tranquil setting was perfect, and the owners were very accomodating.
The children had such freedom to run around, play football and spend ages on the trampoline! We also took the boat out onto the lake quite often where the children tried their hand at rowing.
After spending the day exploring the many of the visitor attractions, we looked forward to returning to our home from home to relax, have a barbeque and enjoy the lovely surroundings.
All in all, we had a fantastic time at The Stables and would love to go back some day.

"Peace and quiet in a picturesque converted carriage house located in landscaped grounds at Mount Cashel - about a mile from the village of Six Mile Bridge. We went for walks by the lake, sat by the fire in the evening and recovered our serentity in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Toured the Burren, shopped in Shannon and Limerick, local pubs some evenings - but mainly relaxed in a lazy, no pressure environment."

"Brilliant. An absolutely beautiful place with great people. I particularly enjoyed splashing around in a canoe on the lake with my mate Mac the dog in toe. Had a great time, hope to go back some time. :0)"
