Very nice place and rooms with a friendly host family, including the 4-legged (dogs, cats, horse and donkeys).
The location is excellent for exploring the famous landscapes and towns of west-Ireland with car. There was a very good information map in the lodge. Also a welcome-package with butter, milk and fresh fruits waited for us and the washing machine and dryer helped us enjoying the stay.
So we had to make a hard decision every day: should we make a trip or stay at the mount cashel surroundings including a boat and fishing experience on the lake, which holds a lot of pikes waiting to be catched (I ve got five in two days).

We were pleasantly surprised by the adorable cottage tucked away in a beautiful setting! The view of the lake was amazing! It had everything we needed to be comfortable. We loved the welcome basket, when we arrived late and hungry! The location was great for exploring the surrounding country each day. We would definatly stay here again and refer it to friends!

I was delighted to spend time here! The pictures do no justice to the property or the accomodations so needless to say we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious house! The beautiful rustic kitchen was was fully equiped including a washer, dryer and dishwasher. The cottage type living area was complete with stunning floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view of the lake...the fireplace was equipped with fresh wood. There were 4 bedrooms and 6 beds if memory serves me correctly, each bedroom has an ensuite washroom. This rental was an 11 out of 10 for price, accomdation and overall comfort!!!

Well worth the money. Nice, clean, comfortable cottage on a pretty lake with canoe, kayak, fishing equipment, for shared use with other guests. Adjacent to owners house and two other lodges, yet private if you want it to be. Includes fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer & dryer, BBQ, which saved us a lot of time. Woodburning stove inside and chopped wood in the shed for those cold Irish summer nights. Owners two adorable friendly dogs come to visit. Quite convenient location for touring W & SW Ireland - 5 mins to nearby town for groceries, 20 mins to Shannon and Limerick. Guidebook provided by owner has excellent suggestions for exploring the area including Ring of Kerry (2 hrs drive from cottage), and even a discount on a round of golf. Two bed, two bath was perfect for our family of four adults. Definitely exceeded our expectations.

We feel so lucky to have found this property and then to have it available when we needed it as well.
it was a priviledge to stay in the lodge (no 1) and have the use of the fantastic grounds. The lodge was superb and so much so that we honestly felt at home the moment we walked in and all 4 of us half jokingly thought about not leaving at all!
Thanks again, we can't recommend Mount Cashel highly enough and plans are already been drawn up to return.

Hopefully the rain puts people off else we'll struggle to ever book it again. A wonderful, peaceful retreat with lovely hosts. 10/10.

The Mount Cashel Lodge was a perfect spot for our family vacation. The property combines modern comforts with a fantastic setting. The kids really enjoyed the lake and the animals, and with a convenient location we never had more than a short drive to get to where we needed to be. The Abbey Pub in nearby Quin had great food and was kid friendly.
We have rented houses many times, and the Mount Cashel Lodge stands out as a great value and a property that is even better in person than it looks online -- Jim, Annie, Tom and Caroline

We had an exceptional time at Mount Cashel Lodge. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. The bathrooms were spacious and well situated. The kitchen was open to the living and dining areas, great for making dinner and conversation. We were pleasantly surprised by a washing machine and a dryer. The views of the lake were a beautiful thing to wake up to. We really loved this lodge, it was the perfect place to call "home" while on holiday.
Many Thanks,

The property was excellent and provided plenty of space and a high standard of accommodation. The property is situated in a quiet, peaceful setting with plenty of space and a great lake! The owners were welcoming and the location was handy for Shannon airport and ia a good base for exploring County Clare.
We hope to be back!

Excellent spacious accomodation with high quality furnishings. Delightfully peaceful location overlooking private lake, but still only 20 minutes from Limerick / Ennis / Shannon Airport. An excellent choice if you want to get away from it all. Really highly recommended - if we visit the area again, this will be where we stay.

Brilliant.
An absolutely beautiful place with great people. I particularly enjoyed splashing around in a canoe on the lake with my mate Mac the dog in toe. Had a great time, hope to go back some time. :0)

Mt Cashel is a little piece of paradise in Ireland. The accomadations were clean, well appointed and offered every convience. The location was great for using as a hub for day trips. Pat and Annette were the perfect hosts, available but non-intrusive. Even the family pets added to the enjoyment of our stay. A mother cat and her 4 new kittens were our next door neighbors, residing in the carrage house. After returning from a day of sight-seeing, we would be met by Max, the family Springer Spaniel, waiting for us on the doorstep. From our bedroom window, we had a picture post card view of the lake and the Famine Village ruins. We were invited to harvest fresh vegetables from their cottage garden and enjoyed the most beautiful lettace and broccoli ever. Mt Cashel "made" the trip!

Mount Cashel Lodgehas certainly met our expectations and in many ways surpassed them. The house was well and accurately described on the internet page and is good value. We felt comfortable and very happy, because Pat and Anette did lots of little extra things like putting a welcome packet with breakfast supplies into the fridge for us, and letting us take vegetables and herbs fresh from their cottage garden. We also welcomed the opportunity to use their boats on the lake, when the weather was beautiful, or to have a well heated house ,when it was cold. We will recommend it only to our best friends for fear that otherwise it might be always booked out, when we want to return.

Peace and quiet in a picturesque converted carriage house located in landscaped grounds at Mount Cashel - about a mile from the village of Six Mile Bridge. We went for walks by the lake, sat by the fire in the evening and recovered our serentity in the peace and quiet of the countryside. Toured the Burren, shopped in Shannon and Limerick, local pubs some evenings - but mainly relaxed in a lazy, no pressure environment.
