The villa is nicely situated with terrific views from the upstairs terraces of the Mar Menor and distant hills. I would recommend hiring a car to get the best use of the local beaches.
The air-conditioning and fans were very welcome. The pool is a decent size and close by. The gardens were all well maintained with plants also chosen for their scent.
The apartment itself was clean and well presented, the beds comfortable and it was nice to have English TV. The kitchen was a tad on the small side but you dont go on holiday to cook full-time!
Chris was very obliging and helpful.
If it was my apartment Id chop down the conifer in front of the apartment which spoils the view a little bit. Otherwise a great apartment in a super location.

Excellent Villa - The pool is located within 100 yards and is superb. Eating out highly recommended, as the value and quality of the Restaurants we visited was only superb.
Great place to relax in the sun.
We really enjoyed our stay here and will return.

The villa is set in the most beautiful grounds. Even if you are not a golf fanatic you cannot fail to appreciate the tranquil setting. If you are a golf fan then you are throughly spoilt! We did not play golf however we made full use of the pools and tennis courts.
The villa itself is great. With more balconys and terraces than you know what to do with! We spent many evenings bbq-ing and eating outside as the kitchen facilities were fantastic.
Easy reach for the fun commercial centre where you have a choice of bars and restaurants and we also took a 10 minute cab into Torrevieja which was lovely. We would hire a car next time so we had assess out to other places, but if you are just wanting to chill its not necessary.

Great place for a quiet break. Swimming pool is lovely and there is a large supermarket within 10 minutes walk. We didnt hire a car as we didnt plan on doing much but you would definitely need to do so if you want to do any amount of exploring. Chris also kindly arranged for a DVD player to be installed at short notice and couldnt have been more helpful to us.

Great location with splendid views. Excellent value for money. Everything as described. There were a couple of minor problems but these were sorted out promptly by the ever cheerful Chris who looks after the property and didnt spoil our stay in the slightest. All in all a very enjoyable holiday.
Would definitely recommend to friends and will almost certainly be back.

During the far from glorious ‘summer’ of 2008, while Great Britain and Ireland shivered and very nearly drowned my wife and I were fortunate to be able to getaway and enjoy the consistently, best climate on the European mainland.
Flying from Stansted to Murcia may have involved being squashed into a Ryanair sardine tin for two hours but it was cheap! San Javier Airport is new, efficient and compact and we recovered our bags and hired a car within twenty minutes of setting foot on Spanish soil. Another twenty minutes later and we were gazing longingly over the lush fairways of the Campoamor golf course from the doorstep of our base camp - Villa Sylvia, on the Campoamor Dehesa.
We had come to the province of Murcia in southeastern Spain for two weeks of non-stop golf, sunshine and superb food.
Having arrived at San Javier (Murcia) Airport in late afternoon, we drove straight to Villa Sylvia Campoamor where we were met by Dermot & Sylvia (the owners) who showed us how their neat and ideal holiday house and its various mod cons and utilities worked. They also gave us a folder, full of useful ideas on how to spend one’s time in the Torrevieja area. All we wanted to know was where the best, golf courses and restaurants were situated and, lo and behold, we found that information was contained in the magic folder also!
Before leaving us to our own devices, we were given precise directions to Restaurante Dona Isabel in San Miguel de Salinas (less than 10 kms away) for a delicious Spanish dinner for an all-in price of €14 euro per head.
As directed by Sylvia, we went to a small, local market in Lo Pagan only 20 minutes away where we bought vegetables, fruit, eggs and cold meats before embarking on a brisk walk along the attractive seafront and doing some further shopping for provisions at a well-stocked Mercadona Supermarket on the Campoamor Estate, only five minutes from the house.
All good things come to an end. Time to pack up and go home! The best compliment and praise one can give our holiday at Villa Sylvia is that we would gladly go back, and there are many other fine golf courses and excellent restaurants still waiting to be discovered.
