We had a wonderful holiday staying at the Pink Cottage. Sonja was really helpful and we loved the dogs..all so cute! The cottage was small but very well equipped. We would recommend a car as then it gives you freedom to explore the amazing Island of Antigua and explore the 356 beaches. We a brilliant holiday and really cant find fault with anything. Would recommend a trip to English Harbour and Shirley Heights.

My significant other and I stayed at this location over the Christmas holidays and into January 2013. We showed up to the location before check-in time and were feeling worried about inconveniencing the owner by doing so. Instead, Sonja greeted us with a very warm welcome, drinks, and stories while we moved our stuff into the cottage. The cottage is small but has everything you could ever need and is SPOTLESSLY clean. Every detail is accounted for and if theres something you need, Sonja is always very accommodating. We even had a cute little supply of welcome goodies to keep us going until we got to the store. The property is beautiful with blooming flower plants all around the cottage. Its great if you like dogs as she has several small breed dogs at the property who are always very excited to welcome guests "home." Sonja organized a horseback tour through the village for us and had tons of recommendations about where we should visit (and they always turned out to be good ones). We had a lovely time and cant wait to come back again in the future. If youre looking for a place with a sweet, down-to-earth owner, a quiet and pretty atmosphere, a place that is affordable, comfortable, and well-kept, this is it!
Thank you for the hospitality and stress-free stay!

We stayed at the Pink cottage for 2 weeks in August, we had a great time Sonya the owner is on site and is both friendly and helpful she helped us arrange a 2 night stay on the island of Montserrat, which is worth visiting to see the active volcano. When we first arrived Sonya drove us around the nearby beaches as some are a little difficult to find initially, we loved deep bay. The cottage is clean and well kept with everything you need in a pretty garden which Sonya is adding more plants to. The seating area outside the cottage is ideal for reading a book and drinking a glass or two of wine, beware of the mossies and wear spray they come out at dusk!
Sonya has a separate garden area for her toy dogs which whilst we were there had had puppies they were very cute and we were more than happy to have cuddles and have them on our balcony and in our garden area, if you dont like dogs I believe she is more than happy to keep them in the separate garden. As a dog lover we enjoyed the company and I think they enjoyed our bacon bits at breakfast time.
Overall excellent value for money near the beaches 5-10 mins by car, 2 supermarkets 5-10 mins by car, St Johns again 5-10 mins drive Jolly harbour 10 minutes. Great to hire a car and drive around the island, we did this at the airport, but had additional CDW charges added although it was supposedly included, Sonya can arrange collection from the airport and local car hire this may be a better option as the roads arent very well signposted especially after a long flight.
If you are looking to chill relax read and do a little sunbathing on a budget this is the place for you

Well what can I say.
Firstly Sonja the owner is a very helpful and kind person who is just willing to help in every way possible, from the time I booked she went above and beyond to accommodate all my needs.
The accommodation is very bright, clean, fully equip and very comfortable with plenty of long traditional windows, all which can be opened according to your desire, allowing the nice constant breeze that blows off the sea and through the beautiful picturesque valley and surrounding hills to help keep you cool whether your inside or outside sitting on the veranda.
I personally cant think of anything more that anyone would want from holiday accommodation.
You can walk to a beach within about 10 mins and there is a bus that stops at the end of the road. Although I would recommend hiring a car to get around because the buses dont come every 10mins.
5mins by car to the nearest supermarket which caters for all your food needs and then all the rest of the traditional stalls and shops continue on through out st Johns.
There is a ferry that can be taken over to Barbuda and if you desire you can even get on a lait plane and visit the surrounding islands like Montserrat or Barbados.
I would recommend this holiday cottage to everyone. its in a great place, beautiful area, great views, great beaches with a kind and caring host and the place it self is great.
I stayed there for a month and enjoyed every second of every day and would stay there again.

We spent 5 weeks in Sonjas lovely little Pinkshack Cottage. Although small, it was very comfortable and had everything you need for a basic outdoorsy sort of holiday in Antigua. Sonja, the owner was so attentive and always ready to provide anything we wanted and wasnt already in the cottage. We managed for 2 weeks without a car, it was great to walk to the local beaches and only a short busride to St Johns, the nearest supermarket is only a few minutes away. We especially loved eating on the balcony in the mornings and evenings, and looked forward to coming home and having a lovely welcome from all Sonjas little dogs who became real friends. We would recommend this place to anyone who wants a simple uncomplicated holiday in Antigua

We totally loved this little place - its got everything you need and is kept immacuately. The bathroom is a little small, but its certainly not a complaint. Everything was of a very high standard - even the towels looked brand new. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. It is only a 3/4 minute drive from St Johns.
So sorry we didnt get to say goodbye to the owner Sonya but we cant thank her enough and we would definitely stay here again.
Sonya - thanks so much - its such a darling little place! We called it our little love nest!
Hope to see you again - many thanks - Hilary & Adrian.

" Thank you for a lovely time at the Pinkshack, we thought the cottage was lovely and very cosy to stay in, we had everything we needed. Even though our two stays were short ones we have recommended you to all of our friends and colleagues who will be passing through Antigua on their way back to Europe... Thank you we have no hesitation in recommending your cottage ... P Hendriksen
