Overall we enjoyed our stay in Barbados. We were always treated in a friendly manner by the locals we interacted with......especially while driving around and asking for directions. (Unless you are at a resort, you must rent a car on Barbados and we would recommend DriveMatic.) Our best excursion was the catamaran cruise with the Tiami outfit. Everyone was personable and fun. They also keep the individual tourists separate from the cruise line tourists. Our boat was all individuals and another boat that left at the same time was all cruise passengers.
On our way to the airport we left early enough to tour the Concord SST that is at the airport in a hangar. A great tour is available for $20 US. A must see.
The villa was nice but the setting brought down our rating on the overall enjoyment of it.
The villa is in an urban setting with a major roadway in front. This road carries all traffic up and down the west coast, the major resort area. Noise is an issue.
Even though the villa is in an urban setting the presence of chickens is always a risk when in the Caribbean........here is no exception. Where there are chickens there are roosters. Expect to be wakened.
The property manager Rosita was very pleasant and helpful.
One of the reason we chose this unit was the presence of a beach across the street from the house. Deceiving to say the least. We thought we would just pack the cooler in the morning and walk across the street to the beach. Yes it is a beach but it is urban, somewhat trashy, and construction going on with a new villa going up. If you come to Barbados to visit, the best and nearest beach, which we didnt discover until the day before we left, is the beach at Paynes Bay. Parking across the street, beach chairs for rent, food and drinks at two places on the beach. You might be approached by vendors but a firm no thank you and not talking to them will keep them away. They arent like gnats in some of the places we have been.
We are three couples, retired and working professionals who look for a bargain place to stay. This was not necessarily the place.

We recently returned from a week in Barbados spent at Seaford. We were very pleased with the accommodations as they exceeded our expectations. The house was very well maintained and comfortable. It was convenient to the beach and in an excellent location. We will definitely be using this property on future visits.

Have just returned from two weeks at Seaford and we were very satiisfied overall. Our driver was patiently waiting for our delayed flight and still happily stopped at a convenience store en route to the villa so we could pick up a few basic provisions for the next morning before our rental car was delivered.
Another gentleman was waiting for us to give us a tour, provide the keys and explain the basics of the a/c etc. The villa is well equipped and beds are very comfortable. Loved the walk in shower in the master suite and the outdoor shower to rinse off after the pool or a dip in the ocean.
The villa was very clean and the maid service was top notch.
The snorkelling is very good just to the right of the beach. Id suggest packing water shoes as there is a small area of coral/rocks getting into the water.
There is an excellent fresh fish market in Paynes Bay just north of the property and for fine dining, The Cliff is only a short distance away. The nearby Jordans Supermarket is ok for the basics, but for better meats and produce try the grocery stores in either Holetown or Warrens.
There is some unavoidable traffic noise if you choose to have your morning coffee on the front vernadah and a local rooster who thinks it is time to crow at all hours of the day. After a day or so we barely noticed either one. Those noises are not apparent when inside.
In all, we were very happy with our choice and we would consider Seaford again without hesitation.

Seaford Villa is well located on the west coast. The accommodation was as described, it was clean and the maid did an excellent job. The pool house is an added bonus and provides flexibility when choosing bedrooms. This was our first visit to Barbados and we were very happy with our choice of villa, we would certainly return. Judging by the other properties we considered Seaford represents good value for money.
We were met at the airport and shown round the property. However I would suggest that the owners consider providing an "information pack" with the villa detailing such things as where things are stored, what the switches do, emergency contacts etc. as well as local amenities such as restaurants, beaches, shops and water sports.

This villa was exactly what was advertised. The beach is right across the street and we were within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants - just what we wanted. The bus stops were right there too so that enabled us to get around easily. We would recommend this villa to anyone!

Our experience with the home was exactly as it had been described to us. Upon our arrival we were graciously met by Ursala who had to wait, for our flight was delayed, her Son Carl was our driver and was most helpful with our many questions.
Upon our arrival at the home we were greeted by Heather who showed us through and answered our questins. Our home for 10 days was exactly as described, we enjoy cooking and the kitchen provided all necessary utensils etc for a seamless experience. Our rooms were generous in size, the views from the front porch were all that are represented on the web page. Traffic has increased on the Island and is active in the am and pm, but after a day or so we didnt even know it. Due to an anomaly of weather this year we did experience continuous windy conditions and chose to go to a distant beach, rather than the one across the street. I would suggest that tenants prepare to have their own beach chairs should that be a requirement. All in all if we do return to Barbados we would choose Seaford Villa

Once again Seaford exceeded our expectations. This was our 2nd time staying at Seaford, and it DEFINATELY will not be our last. There is no reason too look at any other property rentals, this place has it all!!!!
Thanks again,

We have always dreamed of a vacation in sunny Babados and our dreams became a reality while staying at Seaford Villa. The villa was everything we could have expected with the privacy of the pool and the views from the relaxing front porch. We enjoyed as many of the island sites we could have while in Barbados. Loved the rum factory and met a movie star while there! We cooked fresh fish from the fish market in the well equipped kitchen in the villa. We also enjoyed our conversations with our neighbor Mickey! We would love to visit again. Thanks for everything.

This was one of our best vacations in the Caribbean. We have rented villas on other Islands, but this villa was by far the best. The location in Fitts village on the west coast , the beach right across from the villa was like your own beach, Jordan supermarket nearby, and so much more. Sandy Lane golf course and Bon-Fire restaurant in Hole Town and just the fantastic atmosphere of Barbados in general.
We will be going back and staying at Seaford Villa in the future. ( The Morins from Waterville, Maine.)

This was the first time for almost 30 years we had taken a villa holiday. My wife and I spent four weeks at Seaford in January/February. During that period both my sons and families came out at separate times for 10 days each. The villa could not have been more appropriate for what we needed. Betty & Tom (the owners) were there for a week after we arrived and couldnt have been more helpful. After they left Bettys sister Rosie, and her husband Mickey, who live next door, were always available if we had any problems, but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. The villa is across the road from the beach, and within a 10-minute drive of many other good beaches, as well as shops etc. Should we take a similar holiday in the future we will certainly look at Seaford first.

The standard of the villa was excellent and much higher than expected for the price we paid.
The location was good, only a few seconds walk from the beach.
Both the owners & cleaner were very nice and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay.
Our only regreet was that we didn't stay for longer!

Loved the house. Having our own pools in the heat was awesome. Wish the little food place across the street hadn't burned down, it would have been convient to get some snacks and drinks there.
I would like to suggest you put a binder together with instructions on some of the appliances, in particular the dishwasher was hard to figure out. Also, some info on where to buy good fruit and vegetables, because both Jordan's and the Super Centre did not have a great selection, we found out about the ladies who sold fresh fruit near the super centre the day before we left.
Not having a local number when the driver did not meet us at the airport was unfortunate, it was lucky the woman in Texas (the number we were given) was home and able to give us instructions.
Glad to have had the chance to return to Barbados and bring my daughters.
All in all a very successful holiday

The accomadation was amazing. The location was excellent. It was a great family holiday with everything we could have required being right there in the villa. We would definately recommend it and would definately return in the future.

The house is extremely beautiful and has all the amenities you could want. It is very conveniently located close to restaurants and shopping. Even though there's a street between the house and the beach, the view is stil breathtaking. There was some noise from the traffic, but got used to it after a few days.

My Fiancee and I stayed in this truly wonderful property in May this year. The value is outstanding, the fittings and decor/condition of the property is truly first class. Being located on the west coast, everywhere is convenient, if it is your first time you really must hire a car, there is so much to see and all the top resorts and restaurants are five minutes away! A supermarket is easy walking distance as well as a fantastic Italian restaurant opening on to the beach. The sandy beach opposite is fine and again five minutes up the road are the islands most beautiful bays. Once again the villa was huge, bathrooms were just amazing, the photos on here really do not do it justice. Neighbours are there and so helpful if needed. Pool nice and private, not at all overlooked. We will never forget our stay there, will without doubt go back!!

We went to Seaford Villa in June 2006 and found it excellent value with decor and facilities of the highest order. A free pick up at the airport was a bonus and Rosita and Michael (next door) were very friendly and hospitable and also very helpful and prompt in attending to any small needs.
No hesitation in recommending to others or returning ourselves - although there is some traffic noise from the West Coast road between the villa and the beach, it did not affect our enjoyment of the excellent facilities
