WHAT A GREAT VILLA IN A FANTASTIC VILLAGE IN THE MOUNTAINS.
THE VILLA HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR OUR STAY AND THE ROOF TOP TERRACE REALLY TOPPED IT ALL OFF.
THE FOOD AND PEOPLE AT OSCARS MUST BE SAMPLED. THE WHOLE COMPETA EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT AND ONE THAT WE FULLY RECOMMEND.

This is truly a great place we can not wait to go back the villa was fantastic, the trips up and down the mountain were beautiful the best way to travel is hire a car it is much easier- only thing was we couuldnt get the oven to work although it did not matter because the food on the plaza was great and really cheap. We also misssd the splash pool to cool down as there was a hosepipe ban at the time, but the hotel pool made up for it. Many thanks for this holiday it was great we cannot wait to go back!!!!!!!

What a fantastic holiday. Our two families had an absolute ball. I can honestly say we've never had such a relaxing holiday. the roof terrace is an absolute gem, along with the rest of the house which is so full of character. The pool at Hotel Balcon is worth a visit along with the brand new town pool which has a sliding roof. We loved it and thank you so much.

A quirky house, full of charm and easily big enough for two families to share. The roof terrace is simply wonderful. Competa is a lovely resort, off the beaten track, with plenty of bars and restaurants. A relaxing time had by all!

We felt very much at home in the property. It was a bit cold when we visited in March and so we didn't use the plunge pool, but we did spend time on the terrace, which is very well equipped with sunbeds and swing chair and BBQ. There was plenty of heating in the house too, which we appreciated. Although it sleeps 10, our group was a group of walkers who did not know each other and we had 6 people, which it housed very comfortably with the 3 bathrooms. It is close to the main square and the area is quiet. The kitchen and dining together makes for a social centre and that room has a lot of light too. The house is well-equipped.

a very good house for a group. very well equiped, some things were a bit tired and we had to be carefull with them. competa is a very friendly place but the trip up the mountain (25 mins) was terrible for me as i found out i suffered from car sickness. but please dont let that put you off we had a really good time.
Owner reply:
Yes, we have replaced two tired sun loungers on the roof terrace. We have found the intense sunlight here can make them brittle. In fact, we had previously installed eight new chairs and a large table on the roof with a modern rattan fibre which is sun resistant. Isn't it nice to have a problem caused by too much sun!!
We have never had any other adverse reports on the road up, though it does depend on one's driving style!
Thank you Jacky for your excellent ratings.

Casa Conchi is a spacious house of Moorish /Bohemian charm. It is well suited to a group booking with six bedrooms and three bathrooms. It is an historic house with thick walls which was warm when we visited in late October. The roof terrace is large with excellent alfreco dining facilities and sunbathing areas.
The house is very well equipped for those wishing to self-cater and very handy for all the bars and restaurants of Competa.

The roof terrace is so inviting (sun and shade all day) and splash pool to cool down, that it made it extremely difficult for us to drag ourselves away to walk in the hills/mountains (which was one of the main aims of our holiday!).

This is a place for those who appreciate character and want something out of the ordinary. The house is decorated in sympathy with the moorish history of the region. It is a great holiday place for a large family, or even for two families, who want to get away from the commercialism of the Costa del Sol, and enjoy a town full of local colour which is still accessible and has good and inexpensive local restaurants.
