The villa was nice, clean and comfortable although air conditioning would be good, it was very very hot, even though we left the shutters closed during the day. Lovely pool in the complex: 10 swims for 10euros (under 8s free). However, I would not rate this property as particularly suitable for young children. It is not safe to leave the windows in the small bedroom open at night as they are easily accessible without anything to prevent a child falling. Also we did not feel happy leaving the top door to the roof terrace open at night for ventilation due to safety/security concerns. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and found it a really good base for exploring the area. Beware if you arrive on a Saturday night, the local Carrefour is not open on Sundays, but when it is open, you can buy absolutely anything you could ever want there!

Thank you for your review, very pleased to hear you enjoyed your holiday. In reply to your comment about air-con. If we were to install air-con. the cost of renting the house would have to be increased considerably and some guests would leave it on 24/7 as they do with the fans. Alkabir has been a family holiday destination for 30 years my own children and now grandchildren love it, I have never heard anybody say they have a problem, we have always closed the windows when the children were young. The door on the roof is always left open with the mossi blind down.Once again thank you for your comments we really do appreciate our guests views.

This was my 3rd time at Alkabir, my husband has been there many times and now our children love it.The house is great everything we needed was there. The pool once again was excellent and thankyou to Sue and Del for leaving water toys for the kids. Campello is lovely, managed to get some lovely shoes and handbag, at very good prices. We were there for 10 days but still didn't do all we hoped we would, theres always next year.

Four of us shared 50G for 5 days in July, and it definitely exceeded our expectations. It is more than value money and exactly as described on the website. The complex is lovely and relaxed with the pool, supermarket, restaurants and bars. The house is clean, authentic and well equipped with fans and anything else you need. The tram stop is 2 minutes from the house so you can get around easily. El Campello is a lovely town only 2 stops away, and then you can get the tram to Alicante or Benidorm very easily. The only problem is we could not get our hands on an accurate timetable for the trams and so found it very hard to get around as they only come once every half an hour (at their most frequent!). They also stop very early at night in the week (we arrived at the station before 9.30 and had missed the last tram to Benidorm) and on the weekend they are very infrequent. There is also a really lovely secluded bar on the beach below the tram station. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and the house is perfect. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

we found the villa clean and tidy.We were met by Ray.He and his wife Helen were extremely helpful.The tram station is only 5 min walk away,which was very handy for beaches and other resorts.We would have liked to have used the roof terrace but there was no table or loungers available to use.Television was also disappointing as all we could get was news channels.All in all we had an enjoyable stay.

The apartment was very nice, bright and airy. Our contact person, Helen, was a delight. The location is close to the tram stop, however it only stops once an hour in either direction. The complex has a nice small market, cafe and internet access just a short walk away. A car isnt absoluty nesessary, but it was nice to have one and have safe parking close to the apartment. The car allowed use it to make the trip to the Supermarket Carefour and tour the country side. But use the tram to go into Alicante!!! We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we were to return to the El Campello area.

We had an excellent holiday in this villa, the location of the villa was very convenient for getting out and about, no need for a car. The villa itself is in a lovely quiet location and was very well equipped We used the tram that was only a few minutes walk away which was always very punctual, or you can walk in 2 minutes to a lovely bay. The beaches are lovely and very safe for children as is the pool on the complex. Thank you Del and Sue for all your advise prior to us coming on holiday and all the great things for the kids to use on the beach, they have not stopped talking about the holiday since coming home! Thank you again and we would thoroughly recommend your villa to anyone.

Would like to say a big thank you to Sue and Del for allowing us to stay at 50G. The house was very clean and comfortable, everything we were looking for. The train was great for getting about and the beaches were excellent.(For the middle of May the weather was great). Look forward to going back later in the year. Jan Sittingbourne

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa in El Campello. The comfort and layout was just perfect, and also the location - very convenient for the local train - either to Alicante or to Benidorm and further north. Also neighbours were very welcoming and helpful. Our thanks to Derek for leaving milk in fridge so we could have a cuppa on arriving. Id also like to say how helpful and generous they were in informing us via e-mail about the set up and good tips etc. Great value too. So keep up the good work and delighted to recommend the house to anyone.

Location was lovely. Apartment was clean and well maintained.Surrounding areas were kept to a high standard. All in all very good. The only thing we found was it did lack air conditioning. And us lot being sweaty bettys, on hot sticky nights it werent much fun. lol.

The villa was excellent and fully equipped with everything you could need for a weeks holiday! Virtually every room had a ceiling fan (which is very important for a week in 35oC sun!) and the fridge/freezer was large enough to fit lots of water/sangria and there was plenty of food cooking/preparation apparatus which definately helped keep the costs down for breakfast/lunch.
The location of the villa is very handy as it 3mins walk from the local tram stop, and the tram can get to you the great beaches in muchavista and the restaurants/bars in El Campello within 10mins, which is very handy (as is the parasol that we found in the villa, as it stopped us turning into lobsters!).
Anyway, great villa, very nice service from Derek and Sue as they were there reading and waiting to give us the keys to the villa on our arrival, and the Alicante region is very nice!

We stayed here in May, and had great weather for much cheaper than staying in July-August. The villa was in a great location, just minutes from the beach and close to nice restaurants. The roof terrace was lovely for breakfast and lunch! Everything we needed for our visit was provided.
Would definitely stay here again, and looking forward to our next holiday in El Campello.

enjoyed our holiday only thing we missed was a couple of sun lounges tomlay on the property was very clean and within easy reach of other holiday resorts via a local train service or bus

Having been to El Campell for the last seven years and stayed in various rental apartments we would just like to say this was by far the most impressive and cleanest place we have stayed in. would defintely recomend and we wil defilitely book again

Pleased with the property overall but it was the pool which made the difference for us. having two boys under ten it was ideal for us. This is a nice location in an area we know well and will consider re-booking for next year.

The property was very good for our needs everything was in order, little niggles only like had to wait for the water to heat up for an hour or so, after travelling 2000 miles you need the shower, and no pot/dish towel available. This did not however detract from a lovely stay in a lovely place would definately go back.

Well satisfied with the property,met our needs
perfectly (pity swimming pool was not available,albeit beach was very handy).
Made use of very conveniant train service.
