We found it to be a good choice for 2 people, in quiet rural setting, good location particularly for Mont St Michel and the D-Day places of interest. We like the local town Ducey, and can particularly recommend for quality and value "La Marionette" an Italian style restaurant in the town centre. Just be aware when booking through VillaRenters that they charge a mandatory non-refundable £25 breakage insurance. I took this up with VillaRenters but got nowhere with them.

We were happy with the property. It was clean and well situated. The owner lived next door and was welocoming and helpful.
Our only concern was that I was surprised to find I have been charged a 25 pound fee for a damage waiver, that I had not been informed about when booking the holiday.
I was not given the choice of the waiver fee or paying a returnable deposit, and I certainly would have chosen to pay a deposit to cover the event of breakages.
Owner reply:
We were sorry to hear that you had unwittingly paid the damage waiver fee. This is a Villarenters charge and it should have been made clear to you on booking that it was an option. I suggest you contact them to see if you can get any satisfaction from them. I hope it did not spoil the memories of your holiday

Superb Property set in a great and quiet location, everything we could have possibly needed in a wonderfully presented and clean Gite owned by very friendly people
very easy access to nearby supermarket, and the major town of Avranches, and the Beach at Carolle-plage
Easy access for the motorways to get to the D-Day beaches and surrounding attractions etc
Having stayed in Northern Normandy last year we definately preffered the more Rural setting that Le Mesnil Ozenne has to offer, watch out for anyone in a white Renault though!!!

Neat tidy compact unit. Wouldnt recommend for more than 2 as would be crowded. Handy to many sights and owner very friendly and helpful with information.Good value for money. If like us you cook, not having an oven was a disadvantage and would have traded the dishwasher (which we never used). Would use again if visiting the area.

A gem of a hideaway for a couple yet still close to amenities. Lots of restaurants of all types in the surrounding area. Lunch in the bar in nearby St Ovin is not to be missed for value for money and eating with the local workers.

This is a lovely property set in a great rural location. We took our 16 month old daughter, but due to the nature of the accomodation I wouldnt recommend it for babies. It is very open plan so sleeping/napping was difficult for our baby and the stairs were abit of a hazzard.
However for couples or people with slightly older children I think it could be ideal.
The owners were really friendly and gave us advice on the area which was welcome. The property is well maintained and well equiped.
Despite the weather we had a lovely week and there are plenty of places to visit round and about.

An excellent base for exploring the local area and easy to get to and from. The gite has been updated since we last stayed and the little perks - like the bottle of bubbly in the fridge, and the coffee, tea and milk, were a lovely surpirse :-)
The property was clean and tidy and well equipped. The owners recognised us and welcomed us back with new recommedations for where to visit - which was great (thankyou!!). The property was lovely and warm, which was great as the weather wasn't fantastic - the DVD and English TV was an added bonus for the night we chose to stay in.
Would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Very pleased with the property. perfect as a getaway as it is located in a quiet rural location yet only 10 mins from the nearest town by car. It provided a good base in which to explore the area of la manche and the bay of mont st michel.

I would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful break in the French countryside. I think it would be a bit crowded for more than two people. The directions were not very clear and we passed it twice before realising that was the gite we were looking for.
We would return.

An enjoyable week here, in spite of poor weather.
The cottage was everything we expected it to be, exactly as descibed.
Very well modernised with all amenities you would need. The Sky TV was especially welcome with the poor weather!
In a lovely quiet rural area in easy reach of all the towns, and coast, that you would wish to visit in Normandy.
Will recommend to friends

A great place to stay and unwind in the rolling Normandy countryside. The gite is modern, sunny and perfect for lounging around. It is also close enough to the tourist attractions of Mont St Michel, St Malo, the Bayeux Tapestry and Normandy landing beaches should you feel like a day out. We had a fantastic time and the owners are lovely people, who are willing to provide any advice you may need.

we found the property adequate for the needs of two people but we feel that we would have been disappointed if there had been four persons as the sleeping arrangement was not private enough.
the property was clean and tidy and well equipped.
Owner reply:
We do stress that it is an optional 4 and that there is only 1 bedroom

La Boissiere is a beautiful Gite in an good location. If you want a quiet and peaceful break with plenty sight seeing and culture within easy travelling distance then this is the place. When we went the weather was great and we could take full advantage of the lovely garden for alfresco eating. The surrounding area is easy to navigate around, the locals seem very friendly and there is no shortage of things to see and do. A must is lunch at the local restaurant the St Ovin, were the food is great and the prices are unbelievable.

La Boissiere was everything we expected and more and we highly recommended it to anyone considering holidaying in the region. The accommodation was newly rennovated, extremely clean, comfortable and cosy - perfect for the two us and our child. The newly installed kitchen had everything we needed and the dishwasher was an added bonus - giving us the time to enjoy the wonderful local countryside and sample some of the local cuisine and calvados. The property is in a great location and easy to get to & from the ferry ports and for getting to key places as well as to the local amenities. The owner was extremely helpful with all our enquiries before we travelled and the cot and baby bath they provided a real help (saved us having to fill the car even further). We would recommend La Boissiere to anyone and would definitely book again.

Gite welcoming and warm with plently of hot water. The bottle of champagne on arrival was a nice touch.
Excellent gardens and grounds for the children to play in, also good facilities for alfresco dining.
Shallow sandy beaches great for children (15mths and 4 yrs).
Restaurant Hotel de la Mer at Granville recommended by owners and was delicious and welcomed the children.
Loads to see and do in the area.

Cosy, comfortable, warm and well equipped. We found the owners very accommodating. La Boissiere was a great base from which to explore the sandy beaches, Mont St Michel, sand yachting etc - something for everyone. The Moulin de Jean restaurant (recommended by the owners) well worth a visit - Jean Christophe Nouvelli but at reasonable French prices.

We were the first to stay in La Boissiere with our small son Oliver.
We had a great week, were warm and comfortable and found everything we needed provided.
We shall be back soon we hope.
