We were really pleased with every aspect of our recent holiday to this property. The booking process, directions to property and key collection were very easy and user friendly. The property itself was beautiful and very clean. The facilities and garden area were a pleasure to spend time in and it was well equipped for any kind of holiday. An all round hit! Thank you.

Excellent location, just the right size for us and pool was brilliant- not heated but good size. House and Pool however both needed a good clean- we did the pool and hope house gets a spring clean, it is an ideal rental property for families.

We had 2 wonderfully relaxed weeks at La Fage and were overawed not only by the beauty of the house and gardens but also the views from the house. Its not evrywhere that you can look down your drive and see a chateau! To make it completely perfect I think there would be one more toilet and a couple of bicycles down in the cellar to enable visitors to enjoy the quietness of the area. Thank you for the best holiday we have ever had.

We have very much enjoyed our two week stay in Lafage. The property was very well restored, clean and equipped much beyond our expectations. The large garden with lots of grass and shady areas has been a joy for our kids to play in.
Its location was good as well: secluded, yet in proximity of the nice village of Lanquais and its amenities.
Because we have small children (5, 4 and 2), the lack of a fence around the pool meant constant watching the installed pool alarm is a legal must, but was not much trusted by us.
All in all an excellent place to spend in the beautiful area of the Dordogne!
Owner reply:
We have now got a hard child proof pool-cover that can be rolled on and off using an electric roller.

My family arrived at Bergerac airport from different locations in the UK and the short 20 minute drive to the property was ideal. This gite was a delight both inside and out. The gite was well stocked and the salt purified pool was perfect and secluded. It is perfectly situated on the edge of a village which means you are in the countryside but near enough to walk to the village shop. It was also well situated to visit towns such as Sarlat. I hope to return again next year and would buy this property given the chance!

The location is excellent, within easy reach of everyday requirements like eating places, provisions, postal services, etc., and also within easy travelling distance of numerous places of interest. The property combines seclusion and privacy with convenience of access, and without being remote.
The housekeeper(s) and gardener were discreet to the point of being invisible, and while in principle we welcomed this, we wonder whether one of the housekeepers shouldn't put in a brief appearance at the start of a stay to check with new arrivals that all is well. If so, this could be advised in the joining instructions issued to guests, who could leave a note of any problems if they intended to be away at the time of the proposed meeting.

A beautiful gite in a wonderful part of the Dordogne. A secluded pool and very quiet surroundings, generally. Gite is very well equipped, although those with children should note that there is no highchair.
Owner reply:
Hi, Thanks for the comment, we always try to improve based on customers reviews. There is now a brand new high chair at the property. We have also put in a mini slide, and 'rocking' toy in the shade for our toddler guests.

Lovely Dordogne location, with interesting towns and villages and good walking country within driving distance.
Many good restaurants in the area.
Swimming pool and house not overlooked - we did a lot of nudist sunbathing!
