This property was exactly as presented on the site and very much a home rather than a holiday let. Great terrace keeps you cool when its hot and dry when it rains. Comfortable and lots of space with a great kitchen (inc. dishwasher) marred slightly by the lack of a frying pan but other utensils to cover for this. Three TVs with the main one having a fantastic choice of channels and very good reception. Also high speed internet (wired only). The area was very non-tourist and the local people friendly. We had some trouble with the steep hill because of our underpowered hire car but we quickly got used to it. Bus passes the door if you dont have a car.

All four of us had a great stay in your villa- the view is stunning and the accommodation is well equipped to satisfy the needs of a large group. Plenty of linen and towels, more than enough room to move about, and a superb porch. The rooms a large- even the double and all have adequate storage space. I would recommend your villa to anyone looking for self catering accommodation, and wanting a more traditional residential experience as opposed to the ivory tower experience of hotel stays. We enjoyed your villa and appreciate all you did to make our stay enjoyable.

This was our first visit to Madeira. The house was everything that we had anticipated, clean, in good repair, good neighbourhood, and with excellent parking. The location is ideal and very convenient for touring both Funchal and the rest of the island. The communications from the owner were excellent, informative and prompt, both before and during our stay.
What you see in the property photos is exactly as the house is, no unpleasant surprises.
Madeira is a little piece of heaven on earth, very beautiful and friendly people wherever you go. The landscape is so unmatched for variety that you forget that you are on a small island.
Whether enjoying a performance of the Madeira Mandolin Orchestra, dining at the São Jose Restaurant in Funchal where the staff and food are great, or just exploring the island, there are many good memories to be made.

The house was superb - fully equipped with everything we needed. It was also spotlessly clean. The neighbourhood was quiet and provided a very central base for sightseeing on the island. The view from the patio was fabulous - we watched the cruise liners arriving each day, the sunsets were amazing and we could not have had a better view as we ate our breakfast!
There is a good supermarket in Sao Roque - not far away.
The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, giving us detailed directions to the house and checking that all was well on our holiday.
