We found the property is now very dated not as in photos inside and out.The gardens are all overgrown and cant be used also the summer house shown is no longer usable dirty and run down the photos should be changed to show the true state of the property now Feb 2013 the staff and gate man are very nice the property is very large and comfy the gardens need urgent attention so they can be used by the guest its a pity we did want to spend time around the property outdoors and we could not do this .

I have previously stayed in hotels in The Gambia, never again. This villa is excellent value for money. Large & spacious, well maintained and fully equipped.
It is a bit tricky to find at first so i would reccommend an airport pick-up, but once you get your bearings it is very easy. 5 -10 minute walk to the main road and then a 5 minute taxi to Senegambia/Kololi beach. Very conveniently located and without ANY of the hassle that you can find outside the hotels.
Safe and secure. Nothing is too much trouble for the management and security team. You are made to feel very safe and welcome.
Have no hesitation in reccommending this property. I stayed in November 2011, I re-booked for March 2012 the day I returned home. I think that says it all.

This villa is well worth a visit as the staff and locals are so helpfull, this villa is ideal for familys as we found out with our 2 kids neil 10 years and rebecca 8 years they had a holiday they will never forget, abraham and lamin the workers were realy great with us all spending time to make sure we were all enjoying our stay ,i would love to return again to this villa having been to gambia 5 times before staying in hotels this tops that total freedom no hastle and mutch more room and space to live in thanks again all

Family Van den Herik (Sliedrecht, The Netherlands) stayed almost two weeks in October 2008 in the villa. She wrote: "We really enjoyed it, the watchmen were very nice. They wanted to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We had nice conversations and they took really good care of us, so everything was very positive."

Arturo Landahl from Spain stayed during July and August 2008. He wrote us: "It met more than my expectations. The villa is beautiful, the garden was so pleasant to be in, the guards were the perfect people, always trying to make your life better, always asking what they could do for you, always with a big smile. Not to say about the owner, to whom I commented that the weather was very hot, and he had an air conditioner installed in my room just for me within the next 2 days! I had problems to get a visa extension, and there again was the owner solving the problem, taking care of everything, without me even having to move from the house. The atmosphere was so different from being home, but made you really feel at home, although it might sound like a contradiction. The location is perfect, away from all the hassle, but still very near to Senegambia, the shopping area, the nice beaches. The two months there will be difficult to forget, just as the good food I was given, and, if I again have the chance, I will surely repeat the experience!"

had a lovely week at villa bijilo, the house was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. the area was quiet and very peaceful. we would not hesitate to return in the future, and we would recommend the house to anyone who wanted a relaxing holiday in the beautiful gambia

Kenny (Antwerpen, Belgium) spent three weeks in The Gambia during November 2007:
"It was our honour to spend 3 weeks in your house and in the company of you and your friends.
