Private and secluded location, with a wonderful pool and summer kitchen area and good views of surrounding hills - poolside area is fantastic focal point for congregation. Very helpful assistance from local representative. Rooms are of reasonable size and to good decor and standard, although a modernised bathroom/toilet at ground floor level and a change of mattresses in the rooms upstairs would add greatly to the guest experience. All and all, a good villa for a family holiday in the mountains with reasonable access to Grasse, St Paul, Vence and other nearby villages, provided one doesnt mind driving down a narrow, winding road to the villa from the main road.

In a very quiet area, with complete privacy from neighbours, but close enough to local towns to pop in for a coffee or a meal (a car being an absolute necessity). The caretaker, a lovely lady who lives next door, gives you total space and privacy, but is at hand should you need her, and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.
The rooms are all very well appointed as are the internal and outside/summer kitchens, the latter of which is a boon - many a day and evening were spent outdoors, relaxing around the magnificent pool, recovering from overindulging in meals prepared from fresh and delicious local ingredients. We love taking in the sights and sounds of the local area when we visit a foreign country, but found it difficult to tear ourselves away from our haven of peace and serenity - a real home from home!
There were a few teething problems when we arrived, but these were understandable as the owner had just installed the brand-new pool and done other work on the property. Our few complaints were handled sympathetically and fairly.
This review wasn't easy for me to do, bringing back as it does far too many wonderful memories - a little tough to handle when one is writing while caught in the frozen embrace of a Canadian winter!

The outdoor space comprising large pool, outdoor kitchen, BBQ and dining area were superb, as such we spent most of our time outdoors. Unusual for a rented property, both kitchens were also full of equipment. This property is not walking distance to the village, however it is not overlooked and provides an enormous amount of privaccy. We had a splendid time, with only a family of 4, the space provided exceeded our needs.
Note to owner, the villa was quite hard to find from the directions given and we had to drive past a few times and it was only when matching the wesbsite photos that we located it. Is it possible to put the number of the road on the direction ?
