Nice complete villa with pool. Way to the beach/village is very steep and a car of scooter is highly recommended. Cleaning and change of towels/sheets is very good organized and personnel is very friendly.

This is one 5 villas in the rural village of Vafkeri. The village is very small and has one taverna, the main town being Nydri [8km down on the coast]. We stayed during the last week of the season and the taverna was shut thus we had to travel down the mountain every night to eat and get provisions. We did not find this a problem BUT a car is essential. We upgraded our car and given the steep and winding roads it should be considered by all ataying at the villas.
The villa Moduri was fantastic, spacious, decorated and built to a high standard. The pool and grounds were well tended and maintained. The pool is unheated and very cold- so a possible project for the owner could be installation of solar powered pool heating.
The views from the villa and ground are truly spectacular; if its peace and tranquility surrounded by beautiful countryside then this is the place for you.
We were the only guests for the week so very tranquil but the space and layout between the villas means you have your own privacy even if it were full; the reception and bar were closed, again no problem for us- but reviews in the visitors book does indicate that the bar, BBQ etc are very good.
The little extras in the villa make a difference- towelling robes, bath and hand towels, toilet paper, liquid soaps in the bathrooms, washing up liquid/ dishcloth and scourer, lighter fluid for the fire [we had one evening with a very severe storm and a roaring fire was great].
All in all highly recommend this villa.

Nousia villas were everything we could have hoped for. They were well appointed, in a beautiful location, and the staff were friendly yet unobtrusive.
But we won't be returning. This has nothing to do with Nousia. The problem is pollution. On the beaches, beside the roads, in the seawater when you're swimming. Plastic, packaging and rubbish everywhere. If Lefkada, and Greece as a whole wants to keep attracting tourists, it needs to address this problem immediately. I earnestly hope it does.

Very nice villa with wonderfull views.
Very quiet and relaxing area.
Some of the services mentioned in the description not available (no cleaning of the villa and no change of linen for instance)but nothing serious however.

The VIP villa Scorpios at Villas Nousia has spectacular views in a secluded and peaceful setting. Perched up high in the mountains of the traditional village of Vafkeri the journey up the mountain side from Nidri is rather nerve-wracking (with about 25 hairpin bends). However, once you've made it up alive, the view is truly wonderful.
The villa is extremely well fitted-out with great attention to detail. The pool is beatifully maintained and a great size, although my husband and children found it a little on the chilly side. An outdoor jacuzzi makes for romantic evenings on your own and is a lot warmer than the pool. Overall, a great holiday on a lovely island.

The villa we stayed in was called Villa Madouri and it was beautiful. The kitchen had every appliance and utensil you could ask for and the villa was cleaned twice a week which included a change of towels and bath mat and new toilet rolls. We were greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit, a bottle of Cava and some greek pastries on arrival and there were complimentary dressing gowns to use. The service manager Alkistis ws very friendly and helpful and the room service and bar service were excellent. The pool was lovely and was cleaned whilst we there. The most beautiful asset about this villa was the view over the mountains and the sea where we could see the other smaller islands including Scorpios. The site recommends hiring a car to see the island but we relied on taxis and were able to get to lefkada town and nearby Nidri which are the two main resorts for shopping, eating and drinking. To get to beaches etc.. I would recommend a car however be aware of the roads as they are very steep and vafkeri villaage where the villas are situated is on top of a mountain 800m above sea level. The villa was fabulous and the service was brilliant. We have already recommended this villa to a family member. :)
