Kalkan has a traditional od town with cobbled streets and around 300 traditional roof top quality retaurants wiht views(amazing for its size. It also has a good amount of local crafts people from artists to jewellers and local potters and of course carpet sellers. There are local villages behind Kalkan and up in the mountains which are green even in summer and have pine forests and local markets, as well as the usual huge weekly, craft and food market where everyone does a weekly shop.
